Wait. The lunch and snack are good but my two 3 month old parakeet won't it when I give a fruit or vegetable they just run away from it waaaaaaaa
I’ve realized I’ve been doing a lot wrong. Especially with millet spray, I didn’t know it was only for training and such as I had been leaving it in their cages and they seem to love it. I got 4 parakeets a month ago and I’m still learning how to take care of them
Well the pray dosent have to olny be for training but usually sends it's not the healthiest thing and birds really like it it's better just to give it to them during training so we try harder to do it because it's something they like and something you don't want to give to them too often

Good question! 💕 I keep enough food in a container for a week (at room temp). The rest stays in the freezer.

Hello @puffpets please this is urgent. If I put a slice of apple in the middle of the day as snack do I need to remove it after sometime or not
You should remove it 2 hours after you put it out. Bacteria on the apple begin to multiply once the apple is cut (because they now have oxygen and start eating the sugars of the apple). Within 2 hours there are so many bacteria that the bird could eat them and get sick. good question!

Sorry asking lots of questions it's just that it's quite hard to find a good diet video. My question is I'm a bit confused if you just gave their dinner to them and put the rest into the foraging toys, or did you just put the dinner in the toys straight away? Sorry to be a bother again 😣
You can do either - as long as you feed the same amount each day. I usually do half in toys and half in the dish 💕
Sorry I'm pretty late, but I have a question. What should I do if I had to leave for a few hours one day? should I leave the seeds and pellets in the cage all day? should I not give my birds fruits and veggies that day because I wont be able to take it out after 2 hours?
Leave the dry foods in. You can feed veggies anytime in the day 💕
I don't know if this is a stupid question but since you are giving them food at certain times do you have food in their cage 24/7 and if you do can you tell me what you give them please x

You should leave the food there for about a few hours like 3 hours or so, then you'd come back. In breakfast you should use greens so after you come back. You put a little bit of seeds in it. Yet you wait few hours, then it's dinner, go back. Take the seeds and cut up some fruits. Let it sit there for a few hours until it's time for them to sleep. Just leave a few seeds in there. And boom. But the water stays there foreva, don't forget to change the water 👀 It do be nasty sum times

Redfox just feeding your budgie seed is not healthy. it’s very high in fat, and low in nutrients and vitamins/minerals. mixing it w pellet provides those necessary nutrients. some bird owners may only give seed as a treat or for taming/training. hope this helps :)
