Amy your sweaters are Beautiful, and those colors fantastic. Loved your new designs coming up, and so appreciated the link to making a bobble without turning your work, game changer. Always so inspirational to watch you. Thank you so much for such dedication to your crafts and sharing your knowledge. xo 🤗 ❤
Thanks for the discussion of your color inspiration for your beautiful cardigan. I had not heard of Bernat Klein before and his work brings to mind the amazing work of Kaffe Fassett. So much inspiration for weaving and quilting along with knitting! Lovely podcast as always. 🥰
The cardigan! 😍 Marling, stripes, having fun with colour and having a lovely wearable garment at the end!! Love. Always look forward to your podcasts. I really appreciate your generosity in sharing your making and yourself.
My partner and I went to Shetland in May and then subscribed to BritBox when home in NYC and binged all seasons of Shetland this summer. So fun and I too could never guess the guilty party. Have fun watching and thank you for always sharing such a lovely podcast.
Amy, you are amazing in so many ways, but what I wanted to comment on is how every color looks great on you! You look great in cool blues and pinks, warm reds and yellows and of course your bright neon green shawl. I've never seen a color look bad on you. And of course, then there is your knitting, but I won't even get into how amazing that is.
Loved this episode so much! Your cardigan turned out so lovely. These are colors I never would have been brave enough to put together but it is just wonderful. Also, thank you for sharing the shawl book! I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy😊
It's always a treat spending time with you! I just love your pink sweater...that color is fabulous on you! Your cardigan is great also. Enjoy your time at the yarn festival..here in New Hampshire in the states, we have so few of them. Thanks for sharing your inspiration with us😊
Your color sense is so inspiring. I’m anxiously waiting Rebecca’s new pattern and will start playing with my colors too. Enjoyed every bit of this podcast❤.
Absolutely agree with your comments on the GB Sewing Bee - the same can be said for the Great Pottery Throw Down (and, of course, the grand dame GBBO)- the support and generosity shown by the makers and crafters is lovely and I find myself seeking kindness in what I watch these days!
I can empathize with your stash challenge, it gets away from us before we realize. Your Leith is so pretty and the bright colors are a mood lifter on the gray days. Thank you for another lovely episode.
Hi Amy, Thank you for another lovely episode. Your jumper turned out so beautiful. That color looks so good on you. I have to shout a big WOW !! Rebecca's new cardigan design, the Leith, is gorgeous, the colors you picked are sooooo good. It looks beautiful on you. Our stashes can quickly get out of hand, especially if we want to make all the beautiful things we see. Who has time to put things away nicely when there is a another project calling to us. Take care
Hi Amy, lovely to see you again what fabulous knittings you have made absolutely beautiful. And the shawl is gorgeous absolutely love it ,so hey I’m waiting patiently for your pattern when you get it finished and printed off . 🤗🤗
Amy, I think your new design with bobbles and loops could be a hit - there is enough texture and patterning in it to make it really different, but the colour keeps it accessible. Hopefully you will release it as a design to purchase. The colours in the Gallus Scarf/shawl are some of the best on you, I would never have thought that the pink and grey brown would make such an unusual and beautiful colour. Congratulations on your first design!
Thank you for sharing your time with us. I love your Leith cardigan. I hope to make one from stash, which will require that I “confront” my stash. I totally understand how daunting this can be, but, now and then, it is necessary. So, maybe in the new few weeks, I will have a look at my stash. I can’t wait for your pattern to be released, as I am going on a road trip with some of my knitting friends in October and will at least have a project in mind. Enjoy the yarn festival, and I look forward to hearing about it and seeing your acquisitions. Cheers, Dee
Amy, thank you for the beautiful and inspiring episode. Your color choices for the Leith cardigan are perfection. Now, I’ve got to make one. I’m excited to hear you’ll be at Rhinebeck and Wool and Folk. I’ll also be there and will look for you to say hi.
I love your Leith, Amy! I can't wait to get my hands on this pattern. Your buttons are 👩🍳💋. Thanks for sharing your stash tidy (and all praise to Sonya!). It must feel so great to have it sorted and be able to find what you have when you need something in particular. (Oh, and the reason the US version of the bake-off is called the "baking show" is that Pillsbury, a US company, trademarked the phrase "bake-off" for their own baking competition, the Pillsbury Bake Off.) If you love the baking show and the sewing bee, you might also enjoy the Great Pottery Throwdown, which is equally amazing. I do love watching competent people do what they're good at!
Amy your Leith cardigan is gorgeous and the colours go so well together. Excellent choice for the buttons as well. I knit intarsia years ago and must give it another go. Your Thonnan top is gorgeous and I love the bright pink, it looks like a feather and fan lace work yoke. I as well enjoyed both the Barbie movie and Oppenheimer. I love the design of your new shawl, I look forward to the launch of both your new designs. I’m really looking forward to my trip to Scotland and have my tickets to the Scottish Yarn festival and just binding of my shrug today! Can’t wait to meet you. Thank you for another wonderful podcast.
Hi Amy ..thanks for your inspiring podcasts! Just finished a crochet jumper based on shape of Melody Hoffman's Gingko summer jumper...am starting knitting this Wednesday..im a new student on that! Best of luck with YOUR learning!
I enjoy your podcasts so much Amy, and I always come away feeling refreshed and inspired. Those two sweaters, the Leath and the Plum are works of art. Your ability to mix threads to create these beautiful colours and textures is unbelievable.. that is a gift. I feel as you do about shawl shapes and a crescent shape is all I wear. Can't wait to see it finished..hope there is a pattern to come. All the best..
I just have to say that the moment I saw your Barbenheimer Gallus Scarf that is not what came to mind. Immediately I thought, wow! What a delicious chocolate and cherry scarf! 🍫🍒 Really had me craving chocolate cherry ice cream or Black Forest Cake! LOL! I have put the pattern in my favourites. Wishing you well!
When I first knit sweaters, any in the round patterns did not fit nicely so I did learn to do a very neat mattress stitch but I’m happy to never have to do that anymore. Thank you for another lovely podcast.
I personally don't really wear shawls but yours is amazing. It reminds me so much of Luanne G Smith The Raven Spell - main characters Raven shawls. Gorgeous work cant wait to see the finished product.
Hi Amy. It's so great to stumble into your channel as I was looking for some knitting inspiration. I am also in Edinburgh, so perhaps we could connect within our lovely city at some point! You have very beautiful projects I enjoyed seeing them. Cheers! 😊
I have two projects from Christel Seyfarth staring at me from atop of my unruly stash ... colorwork, magic balls what else do I need to work through 'the stash'!!! Inspired by your reorganization!
Hi Amy, really love your finished cardigan and the gorgeous colours you've chosen for the stripes. It's like painting with different colours - definitely "Fibre Arts"! Also I like your new shawl pattern very much, simple but with an interesting element. ❤
I would definitely be interested If you decide to create a pattern for your shawl! I have been craving a triangular shawl and I bet your pattern would be a great fit 😉
Your cardigan is outstanding! Your color sense is so amazing, and also really a specific taste- I see a lot in common with that color combo you came up with that was inspired by that purse from your grandmother (shawlography??). And yet your stripes could gave come directly from your new book…. Possibly part of the underlying reason you were attracted to the class, and bought the book. I second the suggestion of Aimee’s knit lab- It’s been very interesting.
I am excited that you will be visiting Shetland! I have been there twice now, and it is gloriously beautiful! Visiting Jarlshof and the various brochs is magical. Your Leith Cardigan turned out beautifully! And I'm inspired by your Retrograde Season shawl (I'm already in love with your Gallus Scarf design). I do love bringing the spirit and energy of the universe into making! Thank you for a delicious episode!
Absolutely love your pink sweater. What am I learning from my makings today? Patience. I’m trying to learn to make socks. According to knit companion I have been working on them for a little over 13 hours. I’m on row two🤷♀️. I’d love to join your cal, but we’re still in winter in Australia, and it was 28 degrees today. The scarf is gorgeous too , same problem re weather 😁
I enjoyed this podcast, again like all the others .. thank you. Regarding Bärbel and her shawls, she seems to have a similar way as the designer Christel Seyfahrt. I did knit one of her beach rose shawl in fair isle and steeked ! It was a great experience and that shawl is my favourite. I bought a kit from Christel, the wool still has some spinning grease which prevents falling stitches, and after washing it gets lovely ( still a bit rough compared to merino) but it feels very cosy and warm. I am looking forward to your experience with such a shawl ! Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭love pat
LisaR - Hi Amy :) , I just wanted to say that the way you've used color adds so much interest & beauty ! It's fabulous that in seeking an appropriate weight , your choice created a synergistic effect-a gorgeous outcome ❤
Gallas Scarf - can you tell me what is the weight and how much you used - just generally as I want to be ready to cast-on. I am at a knitting retreat when you release and want to have the yarn with me.
Fun fact: it's called the Baking Show in the US because the Pillsbury company holds the copyright to the phrase "Bake-Off" here! (From the long-running Pillsbury Bake-Off competition.)
I completely agree and I am in fact planning a pieced cardigan for my next project. I think I am bored with the slouchy, shapelessness of garments knitted in the round.
Fabulous podcast as usual. Your Leith is so pretty but worsted weight is not ideal for Southern California. I love your influence you are using to knit your new shawl. The symbolism is very special and what a great guide. Looking forward to meeting you in person at Rhinebeck
Thankyou Amy another lovely yummy podcast are you familiar with helle who has Danish musings podcast ,to me you are very similar both having a glorious way of talking about knitting
On the topic of goddesses - do you know the "Serenity Knitting Society" podcast? www.youtube.com/@amclaremont23 She has a goddess (mostly Roman/Greek I think) in mind with every knitting project she does. But mostly I'm here for your beautiful knits, and because I miss Scotland, while Astrology is not really my cup of tea :)

The cardigan! 😍 Marling, stripes, having fun with colour and having a lovely wearable garment at the end!! Love.
Always look forward to your podcasts. I really appreciate your generosity in sharing your making and yourself.
One of the many reasons I love and appreciate you❤ Retrograde was never explained to me before❣
My partner and I went to Shetland in May and then subscribed to BritBox when home in NYC and binged all seasons of Shetland this summer. So fun and I too could never guess the guilty party. Have fun watching and thank you for always sharing such a lovely podcast.
Yes! Please make that awesome shawl a pattern! I would buy it for sure 😍

As always I feel like I’m having coffee and knitting with a dear friend. Thank you for sharing your knitting and adventures 😍
Looking forward to hearing more of your take on Barbie! That cardigan looks fun and cozy!!
Loved this episode so much! Your cardigan turned out so lovely. These are colors I never would have been brave enough to put together but it is just wonderful. Also, thank you for sharing the shawl book! I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy😊

Your Leith Cardi is stunning! Thank you for the inspiration.
Another GREAT and FULL episode Amy. Always enjoy hearing what you are making, THANK YOU🥰, Sharon.
I can empathize with your stash challenge, it gets away from us before we realize. Your Leith is so pretty and the bright colors are a mood lifter on the gray days. Thank you for another lovely episode.
Maybe I'll have the courage to sort my stash too. I hope so! Brilliant job!
Love, love, love your color choices for your sweater designed by Rebecca. Beautiful!
Hi Amy,

I would love to make the black shawl! It's beautiful, and fun, and your discussion about the process as it relates to astrology was fascinating.
Amy, thank you for the beautiful and inspiring episode. Your color choices for the Leith cardigan are perfection. Now, I’ve got to make one. I’m excited to hear you’ll be at Rhinebeck and Wool and Folk. I’ll also be there and will look for you to say hi.
Thanks so much. Have a fab time at the Yarn Festival. Looking forward to your footage.
Thank you for your beautiful podcast and the projects that you share! You are so very inspiring and beautiful! ♥️🐑♥️🐑♥️
I love your Leith, Amy! I can't wait to get my hands on this pattern. Your buttons are 👩🍳💋. Thanks for sharing your stash tidy (and all praise to Sonya!). Yes! I love those buttons too!
Nappy pins! 😅 My baby is 45 yrs old. I still use them as stitch holders! So happy to know I’m not alone. You made me laugh out loud! ❤

We have watched all the seasons of Shetland. We absolutely loved it 😊 The podcast was just as wonderful as it always is; thank you ❤️
What a wonderful treat on a Friday afternoon! Received my beautiful yarn from Ginger Twist my son picked up for me!!! Oh my goodness!
YEAH Rhinebeck!!! Hope to see you and Rebecca there!!!!
I am HERE for the astrology chat. I also appreciate how much you are promoting your local Scottish crafting community and the creators.
Thank you Amy for another wonderful podcast. Shawl design book is gorgeous. Loving your new design shawl.
again, the buttons are perfection

Thanks again for all the inspiration. Do you know if Knit Artistic Shawls - Barbel Salet is available digitally ?
Would love to know where to get a ‘the knitter’ poster if there’s any chance you are able to share that😊
Dear Amy I always enjoy your episode, but I looking for are to knit your new scarf!!! ❤❤❤
LisaR - Hi Amy :) , I just wanted to say that the way you've used color adds so much interest & beauty ! It's fabulous that in seeking an appropriate weight , your choice created a synergistic effect-a gorgeous outcome ❤
Your cardigan is just stunning
What a wonderful podcast! I enjoyed every minute of it.
Which needle size did you use for the Leith cardigan?
Absolutely in love with your interpretation of Leith Cardi! Stunning! ❤ hugs from North of Iceland!

Amy, how do you wash supersoft?
Caitlin Hunter knits bobbles without turning work. She’s shows her technique on her Boyland Knitworks UA-cam channel.
Sometimes I miss knitting a sweater in pieces. It's not as heavy and bulky.
I completely agree and I am in fact planning a pieced cardigan for my next project. I think I am bored with the slouchy, shapelessness of garments knitted in the round.

Lovely Amy….. I am knitting a poncho for the Fall weather.
Have you knit any ponchos ☺️
