To be fair to Karl he's exactly right... What really inspires and excites scientists are the questions and the pursuit for answers, less so the answers or solutions themselves

But he also thinks up: lets have childrens whilst we're old and dying. Much better that. Great out of the box thinking, but he honestly sees it as a good idea, not as a concept. And only as solutions to things that annoy him, specifically. He doesn't even grasp the term 'analogy' fully. It's the difference between conciously thinking up 'weird' ideas (to get in a creative flow) and just having them pop in and out your mind.
