Baby farts

- Babies are gassy, fussy creatures. Did you know the majority of babies pass gas 13-21 times a day? Did you know most adults fart 5-15 times per day? Come on, admit it. You’ve passed a few SBDs in your day. Our digestive tracts are sensitive and impacted by what and how we eat as well as how we move. Before you reach for the baby gas drops and probiotics or try elimination diets, try these things first:
⭐️ TUMMY TIME. This puts baby on their belly which helps stimulate healthy movement through the digestive tract. Getting movement and position changes in their hips and legs also stimulates the bowels to move.
⭐️ BABY WEARING. Having baby in an upright position with legs in a froggy position helps with good digestive movement
⭐️ SMALL FEEDS. Smaller, more frequent meals can be easier for some babies to digest than larger, less frequent meals
⭐️ DEEP LATCH. Make sure to get a deep latch every time. Shallow latches where you can hear clicking or breaking of the suction during swallowing increases air in the gut. If you see a dimple in baby’s cheek that’s an indication of a shallow latch
⭐️ TONGUE TIE REVISION. When a baby can’t move their tongue correctly or fully they swallow more air. Tongue ties are one of the major culprits of gas, reflux and colic. Having the tongue released in many cases reduces babies reflux and gas
⭐️ BURP BABY. Some times just being patient to burp the baby well can eliminate wind. After all, farts can just be butt burps
⭐️ MASSAGE. Giving baby a nice belly massage can also help soothe and relieve gas.
How many times a day does your baby fart?

With infants, when they cry for an extended period of time, watch their legs. When upper gastro gas, they bring their legs up to their torso so you know to burp. When lower gastro gas or constipation, they kick their legs straight out. They tell us what's wrong if we know what to watch for.
I never knew that.
That's interesting, I hope I remember that if needed
Ohhhhh wow! This has helped me understand❤
I love those cute baby sounds newborns make. A new life, so adorable. ❤❤❤
RIGHT?! I could listen to that all day! OH! And when they try to ‘talk’ to you!! The cooing and other noises they make to mimic you! Absolutely ADORABLE! 🥰
Yessss! These tiny little gurgles are just so unbelievably beautiful... Oh boy, mom instincts activated... 😢☺
I know, and do not get me started on baby laughs 😍😍😍😍
yes, they are when they are a newborn kitten or puppy.
And their smell. It's heaven 😍
The only age where farting is considered the height of cuteness adorability🤣🤣🥰🥰
Not if they are dumb looking
Not when he’s pooping as he farts. Now mama has to go wipe his smelly shit 💩

BABY FARTS!! WHAT A BIG DEAL."
I love him. Hes perfect. I hope all his intestines feel better. 🥹💕
🤔
What an adorable little peanut 🥺❤️🙏 God bless you and your baby
The baby toots always make me and my boyfriend giggle so much. Our baby is VERY gassy so it happens a lot 😆
“Make a toot” lol so cute
Baby sounds are absolutely adorable! 😍
Thank you! I babysit my best friends 2 month old and she has been scream crying all day. I've tried everything. I did this and she just let out the biggest burp and fart. She has now stopped crying!!!❤
Only time it is cute and saved that girl/boy❤
You're a good friend and excellent babysitter. Mama and baby are blessed to have you.
Glad it helped. She was probably crying because it hurt having all that trapped air.
When I was 18 I would babysit my friends baby all day. 😂 Fun times.
@@joannestark3023 + Right. And helping them to be comfortable, keeps them from crying & swallowing more air.
Oh my goodness he’s so sweet and little.
He looks like a preemie.
Thank you! I’m stashing this in my Nana bag of tricks!
Wish I had known this when my kids were infants! And also my grandbabies!
This little guy is absolutely adorable and I’m so happy his parents are being taught how to ease his pain! 🥰
UGH! Having gas in your digestive tract or abdominal area is VERY painful! Had an awful experience as a sophomore in HS. Actually needed to be admitted in the hospital. 😢
It's extremely painful. Had to have esophageal and stomach surgery in 2010 and I'm still unable to burp, which sucks because air/gas gets stuck in my esophagus and abdomen, it feels like I'm having a heart attack. So painful.
I use to do that with my first born too & believe me it helps them out a lot nit to mention you'll be happy bc the baby won't be so fussy. It's a win win for everyone. 😊❤
Oh my heart, those sweet lil baby sounds❤
Oh, my gosh! That baby has the prettiest face!❤
I wish I knew this with my first baby. He was hard to get him to burp.
My daughter never burped for me. 🥱
I love all the mommies of the world 🤗☺️🤗🥰🥰🥰
Part of him knows this is weird but he knows it is necessary.
No, its natural. Part of him knows he is uncomfortable and the other part knows its helping. Ffs how can you be so detached to nature to think the baby who is only running on instinct right now would think this is weird?
Previous reply is correct regarding baby’s brain development at the time of this video. They’re very much primal at this point. Something hurts or is uncomfortable, and then when the new way to try and relieve whatever bothers him is taught and applied, he begins to feel better. Baby’s awareness of things that may seem unusual or off won’t happen for some time yet. Fourth trimester is a thing and in this vid he was still in that stage. :)
"Feeling weird" about a natural bodily function is a learned behavior. I hope he grows up in a world where he won't be taught to be ashamed or apologetic about anything his body does...
I hope you can open your mind a bit to stop thinking that doing this maneuver to help a baby is weird, and stop projecting that on a newborn who doesn't even have thoughts, words and learned behaviors yet. Moving gassy babies like this to help them release colics has been around for centuries and almost all babies get them.
And naybe one day you won't be weirded out by your own or anyone else's body anymore either, just because someone told you that you should feel that way [I mean that in the most heartfelt way ❤️]
Wish people knew this sooner had to go to a doc when i was a baby cause of gas
I wish I knew this 53 years ago with my first baby girl. She had colic and a new born. I went on for 3 months. I was breast feeding. I tried everything. Then 8 years later I had our son. He screamed cried for hours. I was not able to breast feed with him so he was put on formula. Then we found out he was allergic to cows milk. So we switched to soy formula. I may a big difference in such a short period of time. It can be so hard to figure out what is going on with them. They are so little and can’t communicate.
I was a little girl in the 60s & a neighbor taught this to my mother with my baby brother
Those newborn noises are the most precious little noise U have Ever Heard. ❤❤❤
I’m here to thank you, this really help my baby a lot ❤
No. You don’t want to push on the belly. Elevating and lowering the hips straightens the rectum to help baby pass gas and poop.
@@lalactationthank you,my baby pop with this video ❤
@@lalactation I didn't see any comments about anyone pushing on a baby's belly to expel gas. 🤔 Unless I missed one.
Oh yeah, this helps my husband too...ha ha ha
I did the same with both my babies, especially my baby girl she had colic. That sweet little boy is just so stinking cute. I love the little noises they make.
Oh my gosh how absolutely precious. I can't believe I've had 4 babies and they're all large humans now instead of micro humans.... The new stages go SO fast. Breathe that baby in, momma. They grow SO SO SO fast.
I always did froggy legs and it worked like a charm. Such a game changer when I found that out.
Little babies are just pure slice of heaven on earth 🌍
Tell that to the child support payers
Wahhhh@@TrueVintageRnBFan
We are so grateful for you sharing this video. Thank you!
He’s so little! 🥹❤️
Thank you for this!!! After an hour of fussing and so much crying, i just did woth my 3 week old amd he had the biggest sh*t aNd fart of his life. Hes so happy now!!!!
Yep, better out than in. :)
Here in Germany we have a saying: "Get out everything that doesn't pay rent!". 😅
That's what the little one is doing....🥰
My second son had colic. I wish I knew this then. It would have made his life and mine calmer.
I did it to my 5 days old daughter at the same time of the video was playing cause she was very gassy and OMG. She even sounded the same. Thank you
Babies being cute meanwhile me as a baby: *getting stuck having to be sucked out and a cone shaped ass head 💀*
My youngest brother got stuck while coming out and had a smooshed nose for the first three months of his life, he also made my step-mom tear in 4 different directions...
Yes ma'am. Most mothers teach their daughters this & most certainly pediatricians do
People should also teach their sons to do this for their babies, not just their daughters
I learned this in parenting class 🤷♀️😊
I put myself in this position when I’m having GI issues. Lay with my back on the floor, legs bent and resting on the couch (like I’m sitting in a chair if I were upright) I then massage upper middle part of my gut. I have an ileostomy and gas is very very painful along with the right angle I have right before my stoma and food can push up and cause so much pain.
You are doing it perfectly. I have seen recent videos of people violently pushing the knees into the stomach like a chiropractic adjustment which is so bad for the hips.
The Baby : HELP I CAN'T BREATHE 😂
If you don't know the difference between breathing and farting, you have a big problem.
I love this technique. I feel like super mom when I help my baby get her gas out ❤😊 she’s three weeks old and her little farts are music to my ears 😂
When l was a pediatric nurse we were taught this method to help the baby release gas. I did it to my own children and it works!!!
Baby farts and everyone dies of the gas:
So cute!!!!❤❤❤❤
Someone else farts
EEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Mama he’s so cute! Take good care of your beautiful blessing.
What a sweet little punkin treat!! This helped with all of my little ones (6!) and my two grands! ❤❤❤
My 2 week old has ridiculously strong legs lol
Same
my two month old wont even let me do that😀😵💫
Same with my 1 week old. Bending her legs is the hardest task
If this one doesn’t work, I would place my tiny peanut (smaller babies can be a bit more in need of improvisation to get those pesky bubbles moving properly) with me in a seated position, place get tummy over one of my legs with her legs dangling between mine, make sure to not bring yours together this is not a try to squish bb lol, then pat their back (make sure softest squishy part of their tummy is over your thigh and then bouncing your leg gently pat the back and kind of move baby so that they are at an angle where they are more head up than just folding over your leg totally. Just not trying to put pressure on their sternum or chest obviously so position them so they can kinda be up just a tiny bit and you are giving that juggling bounce to the entire tummy and intestines and they are in a position that makes the bubble either go up towards their head or to their bum. Over the shoulder up a bit higher so that their tummy is resting on your shoulder and patting is another one. A lot of ppl tend to have just their heads resting on your shoulder but that’s not enough pressure on their tummy to get that bubble out of its spot then use the bouncing or rocking in a chair and patting their back to get that bubble to move along.
Now this is parenting at its finest
He is so tiny!❤
As long as he gets relief that's all he needs and want!!!❤❤❤😂
He is so incredibly adorable ❤ the little sounds he makes, so cute. Babies are blessings ❤
The windy was a life saver when this wouldn't work
This was better viewing than the Toronto Maple Leafs elimination game last night
#Better to extend & retract legs... Alternate right & left, then both legs in/out, up/down ✨
What a precious baby, I just love babies, he's just adorable and I'm glad that he got to toot! ❤😊
Cuteness overload 😍😍😍😍😍🥰 I love those little baby sounds! 🥰
It's cute when babies do it, but when I do it,everyone leaves the restaurant.
I Haven’t seen this method anywhere else and It’s the only method that worked thank yall for making this video my little one stopped crying right away❤❤❤
He's absolutely adorable. One request, when he outgrows those Polo pajamas, may I have them? 😅😂 Blessings from Philadelphia
He's so tiiiiinyyy... 🥰🥰🥰
That is such a beautiful little sweetheart! GOD BLESS U AND UR NEW BABY
So tiny and precious❤❤
Baby farts, do-do-do-do-doooo-do!!!
I'll see myself out. 😂
Omg parents these days they have so many ways to learn about being a new parent ! I imagine this to be so helpful when becoming a parent so awesome!❤❤ also that baby is so tiny and adorable 😍 💕
Man, he must have the best life right there. 💖

Aww! Cuteness overload! What a little cutie pie! He's super adorable!!💕💕💕🐻🐻🥰🥰🍼🍼🐻💋💋
That is an adorable, tiny little baby ❤
This is the video your mom pulls out when you bring your girlfriend home😂
Just a few moments on planet earth. A handful of a human being. 😍
My niece had some bowel issues and I would have to show my sister that method to help her move her bowels and the gas. She was so happy. It' was hard because she was a twin preemie
He's so little and it's good to know how to help a baby thank you
What a cute little stinker :-)
Awww baby sounds ❤❤❤❤ and wait till he plumps up and get v those chubby baby feet, the best
Awww little sweet pea! Precious
Stashing this in my Baby Auntie Tips list.
Babies are the most precious most precious ever😊
I love babies when they're this small ❤❤❤
My little bean is a 10 month old sweet potato now. I kinda miss the little scrunchie boy. 😭
It’s called “fart the baby”, lol Works like a charm too. Your little one is absolutely adorable.😍
I wish people were this happy when I fart. 😂
WOW! I never knew you could help babies like this! I just learned something new! ☺️
When your a baby you don’t have to care about farting cuz ppl will think it’s cute
Don’t try this on your girlfriend, learn from my mistakes.
my friend is a midwife and her method is something like this but in a more of a bicycle type of motion. She does it for a minute or so before she changes a diaper because se finds she has to make way fewer diaper changes that way.
His robe is adorable 😊
One position makes him sneeze, the other fart 😂
Because of UA-cam I'll be a great Dad
He is so precious ❤❤
bless you baby boy aw he is too precious good job
That cracked me up bro was like 😂 "ahh" lol
The little toot was so cute 😂
Poor sweetheart, she knows her stuff tho!❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have used a warm pad placed on the abdomen helps too. Cuts the cramping. 😊
I just don’t understand or trust people who say they hate kids at all. How can u look at this baby or any baby without having the strong desire to protect its innocence and love him/her forever and ever and ever?!! ❤
He is so beautiful!! ❤
Worked to help my little one poo! This was the only position that helped to relieve him. Thank you!
I love babies they can take something like taking a crap and make everyone so happy. It’s not geez he just pooped it’s aww he made a little stinky poop so cute. Love it. I miss when my daughter was an infant they grow up so fast
You gotta be really careful. My family does this but we do it up and down carefully extending the body out and back up, very careful bc of their organs are fragile. And when they get bigger, we add in bicycle movements. They toot it all right out. So cute.
