"It's a bypass. You've got to build bypasses" - The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams but seriously, well done! i love it, i'll be getting at least two!
I built a passive bypass module a year ago to use un my rack based on the same conclusion that the module i wanted to use simply does not exist. Well it exist now. Good job !
Thanks to this and the Bypass Q&A video I know now the difference between insert effect and send effect (like the other similar module is). Good we have a insert effects module now.
As much as I salute you for this excellent module, I deplore the fact that it should even need to exist; that effects modules would require EIGHT cables because they're too cheap to add a single button is incredible.
Hi Robin. The "soft" bypass has sold me! EDIT: CV controllable gate? Now I want at least 2!! EDIT 2: Modulation summing and gating too? My Wife is going to kill me.
Effects Launcher! Get teh effects launcher so we can blow this place with musical explosion!!!! Great idea! We take this for granted with pedals... Way to fill the gap!
Great idea! Have often had a vague thought that a bypass of some sort would be useful for many situations in patching. Good job in bringing this to the table. Is there a case for always feeding the effect and only switching between clean and effected? Maybe a dual Mult or stackables would work for this use case..?
Coming from guitar (pedals) i always wondered why eurorack effects modules and even filters don't have a bypass or better cv controllable dry/wet control. Not sure if this is a good solution though, buy several of these (space/money)
Hey Robin...I don't suppose you know when these will be back on shelves do you? I've had one on back order since the first clutch were snapped up by the masses!
That's nice-though I don't think I've completely understood what the soft mode does. I've sometimes ended up using my WMD Axys (and some stackable cables) for roughly this, but the gain knob is a piece of trivial magic (if I can use the word ‘trivial’ as a good thing).
Soft mode means that the output of the effect module is still reaching the main output when bypassed. This means trails of echos and reverb etc still come through as they fade away.
Yes, it is similar but not the same. The Autodub is more of a send/return and DJ-style VCA mixer - the BYPASS is an insert effect with trails. I talk about it in the live stream - I didn't discover the Autodub until we were about to go into production. We checked with SSF and they were fine with it, so we went for it. This is a lot cheaper too!
Calling it LAUCH is a brilliant idea. Unlike those Strymon pedal that say BYPASS, but then actually light up when they're NOT in bypass, leaving me eternally confused as to what's going on. Congrats on the new module!

"Got a load of things happening?' CLICK "Things are not happening anymore".
The best explanation of Eurorack module I've ever heard 😀
The hard/soft was a clever addition. Well done and congratulations!
Wonderful Robin. Congratulations on the birth of your latest module.
Seeing this, it's obvious that this feature was a gap in Eurorack. Good job on filling it so wonderfully, especially on the hard/soft feature.
Ooooh the Soft + Gate features will make dub producers really happy!
Great module! It seems very handy and like such an obviously useful module, that I'm wondering why it hasn't been thought of until now

What a brilliant idea! Well done, Robin and Befaco!
Useful! Well done.

Simple but awesome, a really great addition to eurorack
Was thinking about such a module the last days a lot. And now it's here.
Thank me.
Same here, but a couple of days earlier.
great module Robin can’t believe it didn’t exist , 2 please!
Very clever Robin!
Brilliant Robin, bought 2 !! ❤️❤️
Thanks Robin!
Scathingly brilliant! Congratulations on a great creation!
Very smart, very fun, good job Robin.
Your next module could be "Round Robin", up to you to decide what it does ;-)
Looks pretty cool. I was just thinking about how I probably wouldn't be getting one, but then you mentioned there's a kit... Sigh.
As much as I salute you for this excellent module, I deplore the fact that it should even need to exist; that effects modules would require EIGHT cables because they're too cheap to add a single button is incredible.
every deplorable ommission is an opportunity :D
Great idea!
Congratu-BYPASS-lations! 😎
Hi Robin. The "soft" bypass has sold me!

yep, that's clutch
My wife already has (just ordered two 😉💀)
The best things are often simple.
Nice.
Well done to you and Befaco on another very useful module!
Nice module and a nice shirt ! I hope it does well
What a well thought out module.

Thanks - not sure what you're asking there
@@MoltenMusicTech no worries, think I answered my own question
I noticed that befaco offers true bypass on the fxboy cart connector
3u in a compact
Naturally I got a knack to Bypass
Does it have more bypass than your Molten Hole?
0:38 ok you got me i am "Buy..curious" 😆 this is a module i might "BUY" "BY the way ... pardon the puns 🥰

Oh dear, who with?
Elevator.
I mean it’s fine, I’m just being impatient, but those 4 empty hp stare into my soul with despair every time a face the rack 🤣
Befaco tells me the restock order is in process.
@@MoltenMusicTech Thank you for taking the time to look into this for me ☺️

@@MoltenMusicTech So in this mode the effect output is always mixed in, but the effect input is switched and drops to zero? I see.
That’s it
Is this not similar to Steady State Fate Autodub ? I'll have one anyway !

I wish it had a send fx :< otherwise it is perfect
How would that be better for you?
@@MoltenMusicTech For controlling the amount of fx & parallel processing
You can set the amount of fx on the wet/dry of the fx module. Parallel processing can be setup with a mult or stackable maybe? Who knows :D
❤😂🎉!
6'04" OHHHHHhhhhhhhHHHhhhhhh hhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........ [sound of penny dropping at -138x fps]
i think youre a bit loopy mate
beautiful, simple idea :) Congrats! I think the next module will be Molten Quad BYPASS :D
Very specific module. Just modulating mix patch point would be more elegant
Calling it LAUCH is a brilliant idea. Unlike those Strymon pedal that say BYPASS, but then actually light up when they're NOT in bypass, leaving me eternally confused as to what's going on.
Congrats on the new module!
