Best $200 I ever spent when I bought my GS Series GS13. It's paid for itself 10 times over. I purchased one of the last made GS13s with Birdseye Maple butts. Whoever stained my cue did an amazing job as well as whoever chose the wood blank. I've had that cue for over 5 years now and it's still straight. The only thing negative I could say about it was the Tiger Everest tip that came on it. I've since had 5 or 6 SIB tips installed over the years. I own some other cues but they were given to me. Certainly will buy another Mcdermott when its time or send mine in to be refurbished. The laminate has started peeling around the joint collar and sleeve. Which is to be expected considering I was playing 5 times a week 3-6 hours each day.
Really interesting. But I'm confused that around 16:15 they talk about turning down and sanding the shaft, after it was already polyurethaned and given the final luster coat?
It would be interesting to hear the how wood which is supposed to be non conductive of electricity can take on a positive charge when the painting process is applied!

Jamie looks awesome in the beginning of the video. I have all my cues from McDermott . They always take care of me! Thank you guys!
It worked, now I want a new cue, even though I haven't played since December 2019.
Really interesting. But I'm confused that around 16:15 they talk about turning down and sanding the shaft, after it was already polyurethaned and given the final luster coat?
The part of the shaft that slides through your fingers is not clear coated. (Too sticky) They sand it off.
It would be interesting to hear the how wood which is supposed to be non conductive of electricity can take on a positive charge when the painting process is applied!
