System is perfect for beginners and is still found easily. I do however not recommend ever setting your Trains on carpeting for any reason, unless you really enjoy taking the trucks apart regularly to clean out all the fibers and hair.

The only way two or more locomotives that are programmed to the same address will run at the same speed is if they have the same motor and gearing. This is what I have experienced
Do you have any suggestions/advice on how to easily drill holes for the green turnout wires and the red power/feeder wires? Because it's not easy using an ordinary drill bit.
My controller doesn't work the ac adapter gets hot, but the controller won't light up and of course the trains won't move, Do I need another controller? Been trying to troubleshoot ran out of options.

Blinking usually indicates a power short somewhere on the track. Check to make sure all locomotives and rolling stock are on the rails and not derailed or fouling turnouts, all track connections are secure, and no metal objects (other than wheels) are in contact with the rails.
Would it work if I got a ez track terminal and modified the ends to where I could use other track to run my trains on? If that’s confusing here is an example: I take the terminal, and cut off the plastic joiners and use regular track not easy track for the rest of the layout. Would it work?
I am using N-scale trains and Love that emergency stop help prevent collisions at crossing tracks ... Also I heard mix reviews on using DC analog engines with easy command number 10 button control that analog engines will burn out after long use. I tried running two dcc and one dc at once with good results so far but worry about that problem. Any one have any advise on that issue running dc on easy command analog # 10 control button?
Hi Ray - Sorry for the late response. Which email did you try? If it was our service department, it's been closed since March 18 until at least April 6 due to mandated business closures within the state of Pennsylvania.
EZ command is used to control locomotives equipped with Digital Command Decoders. Bachmann does not produce Thomas items with Digital Command Decoders.
Since it appears as though Bachmann doesn't respond to any of the questions on here, perhaps a Bachmann DCC model railroader can help me? I bought a locomotive that has a factory setting of #15 and the EZ Command only goes up to #10 so, how do I reprogram the locomotive to run or is that not possible with the EZ Command system? Thanks in advance.

I think so it depends on what scale you have n, ho scale it will work no boster needed if you have o, and g scale it will work but you will need a boster

Sir, what you are describing is physically impossible because of the plastic roadbed.

NCE or digitrax offer easier and more portable walk around options.

You can gradually decrease the speed on your engine or engines.

Save your money. Get kato unitrack and digitrax. Be a lot happier and enjoy the hobby.

Use foam or cork roadbed under the non plastic normal track or anything non conductive to raise it to the height of the ballasted E-Z track.
On section five, what set was train #7 because I have that set but it's broken so I would like to know?

Does #9 or function 9 change the whistles if there was an option of changing whistles?
E-Z Command does not change CV values so no you cannot change the whistle.
Sounds like a real headache to just to break up a consist. Might just stick with one loco per train for awhile.

bachmanntrains Done that countless times & "no-go". So, either the Bachmann system cannot control the Atlas locomotive or I bought a paper weight???
