Rip Dusty Hill that was a shocker right there I knew his hip wasn't looking too good I seen some footage from Mount pleasant Michigan when they were playing with thorogood and John fogerty. I know they canceled a bunch of dates he went home to Houston but unfortunately passed away in his sleep

How many different tunings does Mr. Page need?. He's driving us crazy with having to retune and have additional guitars lying around to accomodate learning his stuff. Thanks!
I don't find that A to be a problem at all. The intro sounds huge with the low open C and A fretted on 3. The only problem with that A is the part at 10:56, because I really want to retain the low C. My solution for those two chords is fretting A on 9 and 10 with G and C(known as B) strings on 11-10 and 12-12 accordingly. I.e. same notes as played in the video, but, higher up the neck which allows also fretting the A string without doing crazy hand stretches. Another option is to play to the two top strings as in the video, but add A fretted on 6 and 7 for those two chords accordingly. That also allows retaining the low C. But it adds new notes to the chords (minor and major 3rd), which somehow don't sound out of place. Perhaps they were even part of the original orchestration?
@jamesjames: you need to run some stats to see if your views have increased since you acquired that Guild D55. I'm a fan, but coming back for your Guild vids. An obsession.

I wish I could afford to have decent acoustics around each in different tunings, but no way can I afford that!

If you learn to play it in the tuning (cacgce) you can go right into "Bron yr Aur" after you finish this. I think the two compliment each other well.
And then into Poor Tom.

No. At least, you shouldn't have to.
Only if you plan on keeping the guitar tuned this way...short term will not affect.

It would be this tuning, perhaps with each string tuned lower. But these intervals, certainly.
