Outkast and Goodie MOB were prophetic. Far ahead of their time.
It ain’t all about being ahead in life it’s about living in moments why plan your hole life out ahead of yourself when you was giving your life since you never created yourself by yourself it’s a gift from god
@@mayonna3397 wtf you talking about 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is basically a Cool Breeze song featuring big boi and Gipp, I don't know why they called it goodie mobb, because cool breeze wasn't in that group
@@mayonna3397🤡
I don’t think so. I think they were right at the heart of GenX late90’s funk or Dirty/South.
They were str8 funk
And are one of the many reasons I put two 13”s back in my trunk at 47 years old…
Wife was like
“The Fuk!?!?!”
Whatevs ;D
The entire album was ahead of its time.
Big boi came in smooth. I always loved his flow
he deserves credit for how well he substituted phrases in for the clean version. it's not even a downgrade, his "clean" verse is just as good as the album version. he didn't let them just censor parts of his lines. cares so much about the flow he's willing to rewrite parts of it with just as smooth bars.
My favorite part of the song. Its like it switches to a different gear when he start spitting 💯💯💯
Big Boi was completely off topic. He ruins the song for me. It’s like he wasn’t listening to the rest of what everyone else on the song was rapping about and gave them a verse he didn’t use on SouthernPlayalistic
I got this cd on Columbia house from the magazine good old days
"Cooler that a polar bears toe nails oh hell there he go again talking that shit"
90’s ATL was 🔥🔥🔥
Up until 2006💯💯💯
Classic!!!!! This is when Hip Hop reign supreme, shit ain't the same no more idgaf what anyone say!
That's because it's materialistic now
I truly and str💪🏿gly agree wit'cha my G! That real u feel rap spit, they don't make it like this NO MO 4 DAMN SHO!!
cus mf gatekeep. when a nigga bring the sound back foos be hating saying they biting. so who cares time changes everything, u either adapt and create or u stuck .
This entire song flew over alot of people's heads.
I laughed when they edited out "reefer" but not "powder"!
@@adamrmoss They probably thought it was baby powder I guess
Calling them crows snitches and rollin my leaves up 😂
Not those of us who actually lived in these times in the south and lived it!! These type songs was letting everyone else who wasn't from the south know how we get down!! 💯💯💯💯💯💪🏾
@@ericwalker8382 🤣🤣😭😭😭
Rest In Power Rico Wade.😢🙏♥️
Today’s Southern rappers rarely rep the south as a whole region anymore. It’s all about cities only. Bring this back.
NY via Mississippi here, always been a fan from the beginning. A lot of classic material 🙌🏽
THE SOUTH HAD DEFINITELY SOMETHING TO SAY!!
The south snatched hip hop an then Eminem became the biggest rapper of all time
Always do
@@youreacrackhead8887BS
Put it on repeat! I remember when the album dropped. One of my favorites! Never will be old to us and we're in our 40's now still bumping it!
I got it on cassette for Xmas 95.
One of the illest joints from the dirty south. G Mob and outkast SALUTE!
Don't 4get Cool Breeze please. If u didn't know, this was his solo song. The other kats were added 2 it. It was a little dungeon family conflict about it, he speaks about it. Just a lil history so u know
YES SIR
R.I.P. RICO WADE
What when Rico Died
What did he die from?
Legends! The beat is timeless & the lyrics are incredible 🔥❗️
feat. Cool Breeze on two verses AND coining the phrase itself. How he could not receive that credit is beyond me.
"when they pulled up pumping rock the bells we took what we want and left them quiet as hell" ..slang for we robbed some out of town up north niggas
Hell yeah dat was hahaha.
yup! slammin em

the song that let the whole world know about the "Dirty South"
Big Gipps flow is just so smooth
Which one is Big Gipp?
@@L33PL4Y the one with braids.
Classic!! Man Gipp came with that Southern Drawl!!
This is when Atl was on and poppin!!!! Man I miss them days.
Word. I miss the vibe of '90s era Atlanta.
They still are
ATL is still Poppin and will forever be, just new style
Bro shiting on something (modern) to make the other thing greater (past)... just appreciate what this is and if you ain't tryin to recreate it don't talk shit about it not being in the game like on the real (btw alt is popping more than anything right now)
Y’all took it the wrong way. Smh. He talking about when ATL FIRST GOT PUT ON.
This VIDEO (Song) is a Classic. I'm (37) Years OLD & this Brings BACK those Great Memories. Most People SLEPT on this ALBUM, but When You REALLY Look Back in History; It Stands the Test of Time Like Fine Wine! - Stephen Donatelli (Pittsburgh, PA).
One of the greatest imo, it is to the South what ILLMATIC is to the east...
Only ppl slept on this was the north.. ugk, 8ball&mjg, outkast and gm, master p was the south. Got no love but down here they were kings
This is arguably my favorite record out of the entire Goodie Mob catalog, much less this whole album. No...one...but THEM...was ready! We still playing...
Cool Breeze ate that beat up
One of the best albums of the 90s. No, one of the best albums, period.
Who still put it on repeat???
Being from South Jersey and growing up in SC 4 hours away from GA. I can tell you about the dirty south,
Good Mobb was a movement
A movement killed by the globalist elite dems and repubs banker puppets.
Don't vote!
REVOLT!!
what happened to cee lo, you think?
KILMATIK $$$ a lot of cats sell out for monetary fulfillment

Everyday since when? 🤨
@@googleedood9721 About 7 months actually. Got the info from Netflix Evolution of Hip Hop. I've always loved music and this is a gem in my collection.
@@glowgirl8171 that's awesome! 👊🏿

@@googleedood9721Why thank you! Good music is good music, right?
Big Gip was spittin' on this track in my opinion... 🔥🔥🔥
Who would've though back then that Southern style hip hop would be the dominant style in the future. Every rapper now sounds like they're from the south, even if they're from Toronto😂
ORGANIZED NOIZE/DUNGEON FAMILY 4 LIFE!!!! 🤘🏽✊🏾👽
I'm from Brooklyn NY always like GMob & Outkast these dudes was the truth big shouts to the Dungeon Family
Damn near 20 years later...and even though this ain't bumped like it was...you still know it's the truth...the lyrics, the beat, still ring true today...even the visuals from the video...of course the cars have changed...but, some of us just changed the size of the rims on our Lincoln
Lol 😂 facts I remember when 18" rims was the shit then the 20" sprewell spinners
This beat goes so damn hard.
This is the kind of Hip Hop from the Dirty South that I fucks with!! Honestly, this style should make a come back!! The new South style is what started to kill off Hip Hop and why it is what it is today...
Nah, the new South style is the result of what Bad Boy records had started when it made it ok to be commercialized and to rap about materialism in an advocacy fashion. I can still remember the underground hip hop heads crying foul back then when Puffy, Ma$e, and all were blowing up. The only Bad Boy artists who got a pass were Craig Mack, Biggie, and The Lox. Other than them, the underground heads were crying about hip hop dying since the Bad Boy era. The southern trap BS you see these days are the ripples from what Puffy had stirred up.
Big Boi needs to show rappers today how it’s done
This Beat is straight FIYAH.
People forget that Goodie was Outkast big homies. Goodie was in their early 20s and Kast was just breaking out the teen years when all this great, groundbreaking music was released.
2018 and still one of best Hip Hop albums/CDs ever produced!
True but "Southernplayalistcadilacmuzik" was better though
RIP RICO WADE🙌🙌💪
Forever westcoasting it, but got nothing but LOVE for the dirty dirty. WHA CHA REALLY KNOW BOUT THE DIRTY SOUTH.............love it
East Points Greatest Hit most slept on hip hop album of all time. FACTS
I don't know.
That Witchdoctor joint was really good and equally slept on.
Aye and Breeze did that WHOLE album w no curses! I mean NONE! "They call me Cool cool cutta ,the coolest nigga at camp!" BUTTER!!!
that song is so underrated
Its a message there buddy!
Ist so damn underrated.
Reks Jumpshots is my next stop
It would be well rated if that shit would come from the east coast
Underrated? It basically started and branded a whole movement for the next 20 + years.
“So when they pulled up bumping Rock the Bells/we took what we want and left’em quiet as hell!” That and the line “woos make you dumb”was a jab at New York! 🔥
@Rick Paterson Same thing in the Midwest except it was Crips and Bloods from L.A coming out here setting up shop. By 1991 they were getting sent back home....that really was an era for real. Nothing like it.

"Like my favorite, I call it lemonhead delight, that's when you lick off all the yella and you sell the white"
Still to this day one of the best bars I ever heard
THAT BAR WENT OVER SOME MANY PEOPLE HEADS
Went over my head I don't understand the line what does it mean please
Lick off the yellow means, take product from the soft by any means, sell the white means sell what he took, in this case it’s blow. Kill drug dealers and sell their product
@@jesusfreak7791 ripping off base heads selling candy instead of crack. Sucked the lemon coating on a candy until it got down to the white center then sold it
I assume it means lick the yellow off of crack and sell it as coke but I'm not for sure.
Gipp was spitting that shit
👏🏽🤜🏻🤛🏻💪Grüße aus Germany
Goodie Mob --- I bumped this shit in my I-ROC and in my Blazer with the 50's all around 4 15's in the box. Y'all remember those days??? There was nothing like those days and never will be!!! SAGINAW MI. THE NASTY

I’m glad these days are over in Atlanta. It was a bad time to much crime growing up in the 90s and 2000s. No jobs in the city but slave factory jobs and slave construction jobs no benefits. So for those talking about I miss the old Atlanta go to Columbus or Augusta you’ll be alright
COOL cutta cool breeze killed that track!!!
I’m 29 and just started listening to goodie mob he my favorite 💯💯💯💯
Man I loved this song. I'm from the Midwest, but I always felt the southern rap was the same shit we was living, riding vouges, getting money, on some hustler shit in the Midwest, dealing with out of towners trying to come to our city on some bully shit, but sending home on some bad shit... I loved this song.. especially when they took a shot at NYC....
I never get tired of anything they rap about. I love GM
How does this video only have 2.5 million views? You can’t be a fan of hip hop and not mention goodie and outkast 🐐
Big Boi is only in this Dre isn’t on this song
I'm here because I just learned more about different and unique rap styles. The music world is so beautiful and creative, it is art. Rapping is poetry.

“See in the third grade this was told, you was bought, you was sold, now they saying Juice ( OJ Simpson) left some heads cracked I bet Jed Clampett want his money back “😂😂😂

I think he meant Juice as in the movie Juice. Thats at least what I thought.
@@ryanregan00 na juice as in OJ since its referring to Jed clampett from Beverly Hill hillbillies. He wanna move back lol "want his money back"

Big gipp the best in the group
Really understated song in rap culture
Love Atlanta back in 99/03 anthem
I was having an early morning memory and I got a comment fo yo ass. I was just thinking about the time the red dogs followed us through forest hills when me and my sister was just trying to bring our homeboy some spaghetti leftovers. I’m talmbout a red Durango following us through the neighborhood and helicopters over us while we were pulled over at the Krystal on Cleveland. Hand out the window and everything. They only let us go because we had a spaghetti container and my work badge. They took Bruh straight to rice street tho.
The Dirty South is living up to its prime!
Atlanta, New Orleans, Memphis, Miami, Charlotte, etc.
More like Cool Breeze ft Goodie Mob & Big Boi.
Reggie Wade dawg made the song
DICK LONG thanks didn’t knew that but I see the song fits with the Goodie Mob album than Cool Breeze’s. I like they did that.

Goodie was one of a kind, miss dem dayz
I betcha alot of northerners respect songs like this now.
Jay Anderson I was listening to this when it first came out. I always gravitated towards Southern or West Coast rap over Northern East Coast stuff. The south has a long history of soulful music, from blues, to rockabilly, to gangsta rap.
Grizz Lee yea the 90's the south had great music. Now it's all trap garbage...smh east and west had gems as well. The 90's as a whole was amazing. Miss those days
Grizz Lee thanks for the music history lesson
+Jay Anderson Child...forget the North! We'n trying to prove nothing to these coasts!
yes you is
I’m not going to front I’m binge watching southern rap artist from OutKast to T.I remembering when being able to flow was all that mattered.
Damn Atlanta went from this real dwn south Rap to young thug smmfh sad indeed😯😈😕😑😳
Mike Powell ikr I miss
Now Dirty bill clinton fronted me some weight, told me keep 2 bring him back 8 and I only brought him 5 and held onto 3 that shit blew over my head when I was in highschool never knew what he even said but holy shit no one can top that very first bar of the song just gangsta as fuck they really spoke out about what people are finally waking up and noticed now that it’s literally impossible to not see how the world is being run so great job folks we fell for all their tricks that they even told us they’d do before they did it all through movies and tv and just about every other form of the world I gotta is it gonna was entertainment and if they didn’t then we had guys like this in the goodie mob telling us like yo hey I know I’m cool just had to catch your attention the world and freedom is under attack and if you dei was the but it’s alright it’s already been written so things are just gonna keep getting worse which is why you should enjoy the time you have RIGHT NOW so get high
