out of all the car youtubers i watch, you are one of my top 3 just because of the energy and enthusiasm you put into your videos. Ive been having a pretty rough time recently both with my life and my car but seeing someone tackle something as intimidating as an engine swap with this positive mentality makes my day and inspires me to work on my car more. keep being you bro! much love and support
Thanks bro! Your comment means a lot to me and I hope you can find the strength to keep your head up. Things happen but like every day you've already lived through, you'll get through it. You can choose to hate the process or take advantage of it, you got this bro!
I pulled the motor out of my gen5 the other weekend. It had thrust bearing issues. :/ I've decided to rebuild it with forged components and turbo it later once everything is broken in I was thinking about doing a K-swap myself but it's easier to keep things in the stock form factor. Making custom motor mounts and making sure axels fit and line up properly would be a royal pain in the ass. All the best bro. I'm keen to see how this K-swap goes so keep the vids coming!
ahhh, I see. On my first attempt, yes it was challenging to line up the stand with the engine. I just reused the transmission bolts to mount it to the stand. Just loosely bolt all four arms on before tightening @@BulliKid
Let the man do what he wants. Frankly if I had the money, I’d be doing the same thing. Prelude parts are just super hard to find. It’s to the point where it’s just best to keep it stock which is boring. Other option is to swap a non SH motor into it and at that point, I’d just do something crazy.
Someone already confirmed that it's too narrow for the hasport mount. If I went that route, I'd either have to trim down the hasport mount or widen the innovative mount 😩
Heck ya! these mounts looks nice. I feel your pain on waiting on parts. I got a h22 timing belt kit, cam seals, a full service manual, valve cover gasket, and some universal cam gear lock( skeptical on that), cam seal removing/install kit, and even on of those crank sockets so I can do it over a weekend. Most likely ill end up stuck somewhere. Man im just trying to eliminate a random misfire when Vtec kicks in. I've replaced a ton of gaskets on this oil leaking machine and pulled the intake and sprayed probably 5 carb cleaners through it. i got like 135k miles on this belt so im hoping its stretching under high rpms. what ya think?
I was thinking that too but another kswapped 5th gen said it’s not wide enough to fit the hasport mount. He ended up shaving both sides of the hasport mount but he recommended cutting the innovative mount and extending it to be more wide
Cool to have a chill K-swap into a Prelude series on UA-cam to binge-watch hah.
Really good video edits lately, damn.

I remember changing those cables before I actually didn’t have to remove that brother.
Love the energy this guy gives out
Keen to see this finished man! good luck. I'm planning to do the same with my 5th gen
So glad I waited lol looks like hybrid racing has a full blown kit for 5th gen K swap.
Keep up the good work, man this is a very interesting video, i admire your work! Keep it up!
So inspiring I wish I didn't get rid of my prelude but I couldn't find a main wire harness anywhere...
Can’t wait for the installation. Also sense engine bay empty delete the ugly abs system is really easy few videos here in YT.
This is awesome I had a 5th gen always will love this car
Damn! Hurry up on that bracket 😄 Love your vids.
Love the swap bro ! I was planing on doing the same with my prelude untill a fucken tree fell on it
ahhh man, I remember you telling me about that. I'll get this swap done for the both of us!
Nice work
Thanks bro!!! Have you put that engine stand to use yet?
@@Rawrkee not yet. That’s my winter project. Was it hard to match up the bolts for the engine stand to the engine. The length and pitch ect.

@@Rawrkee my problem is I’m not reusing any bolts because I don’t have any extras for this spare engine so I got to figure out what size bolts work
Helpful, thanks.
Loving the content bro!! I’m locked in 👏
Thanks bro! Hopefully everything will workout smoothly 😂
Love your video bro
could really use a detailed description on parts used/recommended in this video.
Can I get the model #'s on the clutch kit and flywheel?
also model # of throw-out bearing
So close!
Yeeah!
I can't follow your videos anymore. What you are doing to the Prelude is just... wrong.

I suppose my only problem is how safe is this?
its been done before. so theres a positive there. and those k series motors seem to be pretty popular.@@paranoidkev1776
What about the innovative motor mount bracket it has a bracket for the driver side

Hello, I'm from Poland, where did you buy the engine mounts for the K series?
I think for the transmidsion side you can modified ke stock mount...
Bro you still have the prelude???
Will continue to watch
Hell yeahhh brotha!! Let's go!!
Love your videos bro
I'm tuned in bro! Frustrating ik, but hard work pays off. Keep pushing towards the goal. 💪
Yeah mannnn, I’m ready to make some moves 😆
Let's go
Love this car!
Bro do you want my f22engine for free?
I do!
If I had room, I would've kept the H 🥲🥲🥲
My H started making a whole bunch of funny noises, a K swap is super tempting
I believe u need the innovative drivers side bracket for that mount to fit with out having to weld
I was thinking that too but another kswapped 5th gen said it’s not wide enough to fit the hasport mount. He ended up shaving both sides of the hasport mount but he recommended cutting the innovative mount and extending it to be more wide
Cardinal sin to k swap a lude but I can see why.
too many f series swaps, need more ks :D
Yo! I’m bringing my LUDE to IFO next weekend. If the prelude can’t make it out you should still come if you can!
