Why didn’t you mention that Israel didn’t provide and evidence and that Australia’s government urged them to provide evidence last week but they didn’t. We are not asking you to take sides (which should be the case when a genocide is happening) but at least provide all the important related information.

UNRWA is the largest humanitarian aid organization supplying food, medical assistance and in Gaza. They have 13,000 employees operating there. Of these 13,000, just TWELVE were alleged to have been involved in the October 7th attacks. These January allegations came directly from Israel, who DID NOT PROVIDE ANY EVIDENCE, and still haven't to this day.
These unsubstantiated allegations were the basis for 16 governments (including the United States) to halt all funding to UNRWA, further escalating the disastrous famine in Gaza. It was condemned by the World Health Organization, Doctors Without Borders, and Amnesty International, who deemed it a "heartless" form of collective punishment. 2 governments and the EU have since reinstated funding, only after the Flour Massacre on February 28th, further showing how baseless this initial decision was.
Even US intelligence has since backed off of these claims, citing their thin basis, and reports emerged in February that UNRWA employees were allegedly tortured and coerced into giving confessions implicating other employees while detained by Israel.
You can't claim to want "peace" while uncritically parroting lies that directly starve children to death. No justice, no peace.
They did provide evidence and even video recordings of said UNRWA teachers proudly declaring their attrocities. They also accuse 450 further personnel being involved. Not to mention the mountain of other instances where UNRWA colluded with Hamas and actively supported their militarism or genocidal messaging.

Israel opposed it so they created UNRWA. UNHCR helped Jewish refugees from Europe return so there is the precedent of right to return there. Israel doesn’t want Palestinians refugees to have that right.
They aren’t excluded. They get their own agency that gets more funding per capita than the one for the “other” refugees around the world.

Israeli intelligence used cell phone tracking and camera facial recognition to prove some staffers were indeed part of the Oct 7 attack. While it’s important to challenge all claims from Israel at face value (and Hama of course), some claims by Israeli intelligence have been proven true by third parties and should not be completely dismissed or discredited.
And Johnny did not even make mention of this very important info.

Like, Unbiased distribution of staff, for example Germany donates more to FAO but they are not many German staff, comparatively French nationals are more in FAO although they contribute less in terms of donations. The numbers are important. There are 30k UNRWA employees and only 450 were accused of anything with limited evidence. That number shrunk to a plausible number of 12. Both numbers are microscopic. Despite this it took months for funding to be resumed by many countries as Palestinians starved. Meanwhile, the U.S. never stopped sending weapons to the IDF.
UNRWA is an oddity which should've dissolved a long time ago. For starters the UN shouldn't have two major refugee agencies and two significantly different standards for even the most basic terms like what the term refugee means.
That being said, UNRWA was a serious band-aid during the Hamas era. Basically whatever money was given to Hamas usually didn't get allocated to help Gazans. Instead it was usually the UNRWA who got things going. This is why the Gazans are a lot more restless with this UNRWA situation than they were with the fact that Hamas is basically reduced to a shadow of its former importance in the region. Because the UNRWA actually did things.
That being said, the UNRWA being complicit in Hamas' genocidal message is decades old. The earliest reports happened in the 2000s almost right after Hamas solidified their hold. This isn't some shocking revelation but finally people are willing to do something about it.
Personally I'd wish the UNRWA would be gone. UNHCR should take over their duties and eventually an actual Palestinian government should help their own people instead of siphoning money and expecting somebody else to help. Given the current crisis it seems like a reasonable switch but in an era of madness I doubt much will be done to upset this toxic status quo.

The Gaza’s people can’t get any legitimate leaders and groups because they live under Israeli occupation and apartheid, and are abused and killed by a system in mass. UNRWA helps save them by providing the the basic needs Israel refuses to give them. UNRWA protects the people of Palestine specifically because they had their land taken away and have little way of getting back to it. Whereas many other refugees are more often seeking for an end of the issues that plague the places where they are from.

It’s important to say that this in agency treats refugee status as something hereditary, even if a Palestinian has a citizenship in another country they are still refugees, whilst normal refugees treated by the main refugee agency in the UN do not have that treatment. UNRWA I had become a political body and not an aid agency

BTW Hamas was given guns and funding by Netanyahu originally to weaken the legitimate Palestinian government which is actually a very secular group. Israel made their own problem and are surprised when it came home to roost.

@@jackstickler1705 yes. Called the "Palestinian Authority". They lost control of Gaza in 2006 after a coup and civil war deposed the local government. They're still in power in the West Bank areas Israel hasn't seized.
It's a bit more complicated than that but it's strongly suspected that Netanyahu was secretly helping Hamas to also advance his own political aims in the process. Netanyahu is also strongly suspected of sabotaging the Oslo talks. While it wasn't just his own machinations alone which caused these problems (Arafat wasn't so keen on Oslo either, for example). but it sure didn't help at all.
@jackstickler1705 Yes and no. PLO was more like a rebel organization funded by the KGB and run by an Egyptian with Palestinian roots. It was responsible for a lot of things in the following decades but by the 1990s they were the main talking partner with Israel to establish a Palestinian state and put an end to the conflict. That was the Oslo talks championed by Bill Clinton.

The thing we should all ask is why this agency still exists? 75 years of work and they did no progress, they didn't gave solutions to the Palestinans, they only kept them starving, uneducated, poor and full of hate towards the west. And another question, why do the Palestinans need a special UN refugees agency? And why the Palestinans are the only people where the label "refugee" is passed down from generation to generation? Because for some reason even though only around 2% of the modern day Palestinans were born before 1948, all of the Palestinans are considered refugees...

@@nimrodery First of all we are talking about more than 12 at this point, there is a suspicion that we are talking about dozens... And they aren't militants but terrorists, the acts of October 7th are acts of terror and not of legitimate warfare.
Secondly, Israel is led by the hard right because we lost trust in the Palestinans, we had the Oslo accords which gave them for the first time in the history sovereignty over land in 1993, we gave them most of Hebron in the Wye accords in the late 90's, what we got in exchange? The second Intifada which targeted Israeli civilians and took the lives of more than a thousand of those. By the way, in the early 2000's in camp david Israel offered the Palestinian authority to get the entire west bank except Jerusalem in exchange for recognition in Israel and peace but they rejected the offer without a counter offer.
We didn't lose hope, we unilaterally left the Gaza strip, we gave them a gas field, we gave them tax money, we provided them with jobs in Israel, with food, fuel, water and electricity and how they thanked us? With tens of thousands of rockets across the years, a "knife intifada" and of course the massacre of October 7th. Again, by the way in 2007 the prime minister then Ehud Olmert offered the Palestinian authority the entire west bank including east Jerusalem this time and they rejected the offer without a counter offer. They don't want peace and they never wanted peace, as we say here: "there will be peace in the day they will love their children more than they hate us". We don't have trust in them anymore, we tried everything to have peace with them and it always ended with blood and tears from our side and somehow also the world condemning us for reacting militarily but you what? This is the only option that ever worked, when they punch us don't except us to be chill, we are the only Jewish country in the world, a dream of 2000 years, don't except us to let anyone destroy what we've built here even if it would cost everything. I am not a fan of our current government to say the least but as someone who live only 6km from the west bank as many Israelis I don't believe in a 2 states solution anymore, because as it proved itself, in the day they will have a country in the west bank be sure that in the first chance they have they will invade and this time what I've seen on TV/social media in the towns and Kibbutzim surrounding Gaza will be in my home so be sure that I will do everything in my power to prevent it from happening...

UNHCR: responsible for refugees all over the world, staff: 18,000, goal: to help resettle refugees
UNRWA: special UN agency for Palestinians only. Staff: 30,000. Goal: to keep the Palestinians in refugee status for generations and keep them in constant need for external aid.

Without aid Palestinians would have dispersed and resettled decades ago. Until the UN faces the reality that international aid is a serious part of the problem, enabling terrorism, this stalemate will continue for generations more. If donor countries think these aid programs make Palestinians appreciate them more, think again.
That’s the problem, PaIestinian won’t be dispersed because they are refugees and they have a right to live in their own homeland. The UN is doing the right thing by supporting refugees who are being barred from returning to their country.
The problem is the establishment of the state of Israel in the worst possible place on Earth for such a state, as an insane action by imperialist colonial powers doing more imperialist colonialist stuff. The UN at least recognizes there's a problem, you seem completely oblivious.
