Hellloooo! My name is Clancy and I'm originally from Long Island, NY, whch is about 40 minutes from NYC. In 2017, I moved to Ohio to become a TV news reporter, but after waking up at 2 a.m. for 5 years, I decided to leave that job and pursue UA-cam full-time.
I recently bought a house in Cincinnati and love making all kinds of videos, focusing on everything from money and finances (saving, budgeting, and being financally independent in your 20's) to health, fitness, and nutrition, to beauty and fashion.
I LOVE making "what I spend in a week" videos in the cities I travel to and love week in my life-style videos the most! Let me know if there's anything specifically you want to see!

Literally what I was going to say!!
I am going to give you one parenting tip: As you see just having Asher, people will rudely give you unsolicited advice or criticize. Practice ignoring them now with Asher issues because those people only get ruder when you have a child. People who comment like that and who do not know or act better are never anyone you'd want to take life or parenting advice from anyway lol. I have to clean out and reorganize my pantry as well. I went to do it a few days ago, and one of my teens got hurt so I ended up in the ER dealing with a concussion. Now I still have a messy pantry.
It’s exhausting growing a baby. Your body is going thru big changes, and the fatigue is killer. Enjoy lots of naps while you can. ❤️
The fatigue is REAL!!! haha
For the Clancy room, I would put the pink couch back against the wall. Then make an accent wall with wallpaper or a slat wall or floating shelves, and turn your desk that you film at away from the window so you’re facing towards the door with your accent wall as the backdrop. Just a suggestion.
Love the zac car rides but the level of sass in this one, had me cackle 4x 😂😂😂😂 how the sarcasm will translate into dad jokes, we are in for not a treat, a feast!

No judgement on night nurse from me just think us poorer folk call it family help lol. The lack of sleep is challenging to adjust to. If family wants to help in the beginning and give you some nights or just a night of uninterrupted sleep, take it!❤ It takes a village and family and friends are a blessing❤

My friend is a night duola. She loves it. When it comes to nursing, if the mom wants the baby during the night, she will take the baby to her. It's basically to help get the sleep that she needs and the time it takes for the baby to start sleeping through the night differs. 2 weeks up to 3 months. 😊
The night time feeds are some of my best memories with my babies 🥹

Parenthood…that exhaustion never goes away. If you do feel physically well one day it’s always a mental exhaustion. A piece of your heart is walking around in the world. Sleep is much lighter…you are always hyper aware. Parenthood is fun! lol 😆

Just one opinion of thousands but as excruciating as the newborn phase is, it goes by so fast. You will feel every emotion you can imagine b/c of sleep deprivation. But, it’s the sweetest bonding time with your baby. I did both bottle (with my twins) and breast (single) and both were just as bonding.

As far as the houses, your back with the woods is so much better than those you drove by.
Your energy will begin to increase more now as that first trimester is tough. When you said (in another flog) the nausea, during first trimester,was like trying to read and ride… you had that comparison perfectly!
Happy Saturday Clancy! I used to take 2 naps a day when I was pregnant. Unfortunately I had hyperemesis through most of my pregnancy. Well worth it though! Hi to Asher and Zach!! ❤❤

On the night nurse topic I feel like it takes away from the whole newborn experience and bonding. It’s not easy by any means, but when you get through it, it’s the best feeling
On a few things:
1) I don’t think getting a night nurse is compatible with breastfeeding unless you pump which is honestly a lot harder than nursing. I didn’t find the night wakeups that challenging because we both stayed mostly asleep. Nursing is a lot easier than getting up to make a bottle.
2) if your mom is up for it, it’s best if she stays in the house with you. I wish I had someone staying with me when I had my daughter be size I felt really lonely when my husband went back to work.
I like longer vlogs, but I think 30 is a good amount!!
and i agree! I think 25-30 min vlogs are really ideal! 10-15 min is too short hahaha. btw i love your content

I love the long vlogs. The tiredness is real the first trimester of pregnancy. I started taking mini naps after work and I was not a nap person pre pregnancy. Hope you are feeling more energized with the second trimester but don't be hard on yourself when you are not as productive.
I have had friends struggling with PPD utilize night nurses periodically and it was such a help.
I love all your videos regardless of length but yes I agree, 25ish minutes is perfect

When I was pregnant I was obsessed with yogurt parfaits! As soon as I gave birth the craving disappeared completely 😂

I was fortunate to have babies that slept pretty good but the first few months definitely are tiring. However, with my daughter I remember even when I was extremely tired , I always enjoyed waking up to give her her bottle because as soon as she saw me she would stop crying and give me the biggest smile! Now she’s a roaring 2 year old and I kinda miss those days 🤣 I’m sure it’ll be no problem for you when baby gets here 💛

That has been my HG mascara for years! It's also the only maacara that doesn't irritate my overly sensitive eyes.
My breakfast yogurt recipe: vanilla Greek yogurt, cacao nibs, chia seeds (best if they’ve been soaked in water for a couple minutes), whatever granola mix (I like fruit in mine and I love the purely Elizabeth brand), and agave syrup. Sometimes I spice it up and add peanut butter! And I rarely do this, but if you fix it to have in the fridge for the next morning it’s even better since the granola softens up.

I hated being “lazy” and I’ve never liked taking naps. However, when I’m pregnant, that all goes out the window! I told myself that I had the rest of my life to be productive/not lazy etc. It’s so so important to rest and slow down when you’re pregnant! I wish I slowed down even more, in fact, because having kids gives no time for relaxing and slowing down 🥴

Hey there, you can actually get lightbulbs for your consul table where you don't have to plug it into the wall so there is no cord. Just thought I'd let you know so then you don't even have to deal with the cord.
This year was the first year that I've ever gotten the winter blues so it's weird. We didn't even get much snow but when we did it was enough to have to clean off the car and shovel every day for 10 days straight and it was just so dark and grey. I at least wish there were blue skies even if it was cold and snow on the ground

You definitely show bigger and faster with each pregnancy. I'm small build and only 5'0. I show early anyways. My 5th pregnancy was twins lol. Our oldest kids called me "Egg-Man" by 4 months along because I was a giant ball with stick arms and legs. 😂😂😂😂 Night feedings are the basis of bonding,. As tired as I was, I would never miss that precious time with my kids.
Our dogs dont go on couches either. Give yourself grace! This time is precious!
If you need a yogurt bowl recipe, I eat this one almost every day:
-yogurt of choice (I like vanilla)
-blueberries, strawberries
-banana (I don't always add banana but sometimes it's nice)
-granola (Natures Path Ancient Grains and NuTrail granola are my faves)
-almond butter or peanut butter drizzle
-cinnamon
(if you like it sweeter, drizzle honey, agave, or maple syrup!)
I feel like night nurses are for the full-time working Mom who literally needs the 8 hours of sleep to be able to function in the day!
😂😂😂We never allowed our dogs on the furniture and they’ve had dog beds either! When I moved to a house with no carpet I had blankets I got from goodwill & all my friends have said if reincarnation they want to come back as one of my animals 😊. It’s about love you give your animals and Your a great dog owner ❤❤❤

My younger son was nursed until 20 months. He'd wake at 3am and we'd head downstairs and I'd nurse him while watching Nick at Night. I enjoyed the routine. I waited tables on the weekends until he was a year old. By then, he slept through the night.
Hi Clancy! I recommend the brand Lou Lou and company for a newborn set. The quality so nice and they are comfy for the baby. Then get ONLY zip up onesies for them, buttons are a no no the first few months. Caden lane and posh peanut are my favorite brands from pajamas because they are soft and stretchy. Old navy and target are cheap quality. I’m not saying don’t buy from them but I would wait till the baby is a little older. I’ve gone through too many zip ups from old navy that only lasted two washes before they had holes or shrank.
If you heat up some hot water in the microwave and then sit your honey container in the hot water for a few minutes it will remelt the honey and make it usable again. Honey just crystallizes when not used for a while. Hope this helps ❤
i didn’t start showing (meaning it actually looks like a baby bump instead of bloat) until about 6 months pregnant! and even then i was just pretty small, but i do remember it felt like overnight the bump just kinda appeared lol growing a human is a lot of work, be kind to yourself. you’re doing great!!

Growing a baby is EXHAUSTING! You have every right to sleep extra long, to let housework slide, to pass the buck on to Zac. In terms of hiring help - I didn't have the money and I was also fortunate to have my mom help me the first weeks, but I understand fully while people do it! The sleep deprivation is so, so real. I even started going bonkers I think! But of course, it does get better, and looking back those were amazing times but in the moment - god it was tough! Move in for a bit mom! Skip the air bnb! 😂
