I lost to her 4 times using a curved GS. Then I realized she's huge and not super mobile so I switched to the Death's Poker. I kid you not, the fight was over in less than 60 seconds, it took no more than 3-4 L2 R1's to turn her into gourmet food. RL 130 mage with Scadutree lvl 13. By far the easiest major boss in the entire DLC.
@@CernyGaming Ginomachino once did a Death's Poker run too and he had a good time with it. It's the best weapon for big and slow enemies for a mage by far. Ulcerated Tree Spirit and Erdtree Avatars turn into trash mobs, and the same applied to Metyr. In tight corridors or when the enemy is cornered it dominates in PVP too. Because the base damage with r1 and r2 is low, it's not really good for every situation, but since the AoWs have pure INT scaling, the dmg output is that much higher when you use them. For whatever reason, I rarely ever see it in coop and PVP, it's extremely underrated.
No when she does that huge laser thing (where she flies in the air and stays there) you have to stand close enough to not get damaged by the lasers but far enough not to get damaged by her little aoe below her. theres a safe spot somewhere in the middle.
@@ar.71944 yes you can but its hard to position yourself right outside of the aoe under her right when she starts the attack. its hard to dodge but you dont need vow of anything
This boss wouldve been good if it didnt have 2 complete bs attacks. Its always with elden ring where the bosses couldve been perfect if they didnt just give it some bs attack
I'm not gonna be that guy by saying skill issue but it's really not that bad of a boss. Just has a very dense health bar. The dancing lion was agreeable a blob of shit cause it was hard to understand what was going on, but the worst boss in this game is easily Commander Gaius
I managed to cruse through DLC without too much trouble, yes, it's a difficult game with crazy bosses but doable... but this boss.. huuh.. It's not good if you are a strength build like I am right now in NG 3.. this and Messmer, damm, I died a million times till I finally summoned Hornsent and killed Messmer, I just couldn't do it alone. I bump into this piece of s**t today, tried to finally take that night sword ... I died five or six times and even I managed to strip 90% of her health bar she or it, whatever it is, one shoot me at the end of each attempt. I was greedy and tried to rush things, that's for sure but damm.. I killed a putrescent knight in first attempt, Messmiers bodyguard in a few attempts but this and Messmier aaaaaaa... I'll try tomorrow, enough for today if I want to keep my keyboard and mouse alive :) . What a great game ( not sarcasm), I'm playing for more then 400hrs and the game is still awesome, even after more then two years of playing (I don't have more than few hrs through the week to play.. job, kid and family but I'm still loving it ) . Tnx for this guide, it definitely helps, I already saw my mistakes, just like with many other enemies and especially bosses you have to wait for openings and never try to rush things, that usually leads only one way :)
@@Craizon22 Of course.. ☮&❤ Honestly though, this games boss fights are like learning to play a song on a musical instrument, and some of us have no rhythm. Or at least, very poor rhythm... We need this kind of help rather than just summoning someone like you to come do it for us.

Dude lost to him like 10 times, got tired of it and watched this video and beat him first try, thank you bro😭🙏
Glad I could help!
She has a counter for EVERYTHING I do!!!!
It can feel that way, but keep at it. You got this.

I did a Death's Poker only run once. It's a joke, I love it.

She wasn’t too bad at all I agree but I definitely think Romina and Bayle were easier

I'm vaguely aware that that's what you're supposed to do, but the janky hit boxes cause me to prefer tanking it.
With that one huge laser, you cannot dodge the first laser without using vow of the indomitable
@@ar.71944 yes you can but its hard to position yourself right outside of the aoe under her right when she starts the attack. its hard to dodge but you dont need vow of anything

Trash fight for a str build
It's rough. Baiting attacks and performing a jump attack does the trick. Still good to BHS away if your weapon can be infused.
That’s where I’m at too. Even thinking about respecing just for this fight. I’m lower level so it’s even worse.
Just a trash fight all round.
I needed to use bloodhound step on the guts greatsword, felt like a cheater but won. The timings are just too weird for me idk why.
fucking horrible boss. I hate these types of bosses that are just blobs of random bullshit. not fun.

@@nilli111 I thought Gaius and Dancing Lion were fine. Dancing Lion is probably one of my favourites. I just hate giant blob bosses usually.
@@nilli111 commander gaius is fine. this is another classic case of fighting the camera as opposed to fighting the boss.
I struggled with Dancing Lion simply because I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on. Too many moving parts.
@@CernyGamingI hated the attack where he floats up and bites you 2 times and then headslam
What weapon are you using?
This thing isn’t that good. Just hits very hard

Finished her in my first try. I was expecting a 2nd/3rd phase. No way she's that soft
Then why tf you are here?

one of the easier bosses of the DLC, took me three tries to beat her with a great katana
This boss is so lame
Is this a story boss?
It is associated with a side story found at the Cathedral of Manus Metyr.
She medium difficult Messmer is harder
I actually struggled more with this than Messmer. I liked the flow of his fight - if you get the rhythm down he's easy enough.
🙋♀️😍😊thx
Sick of these cheese build bs. May as well just use an ash summon. Absolute trash dlc.
This is definitely far from being a cheese build buddy.
@@CernyGaming Maybe in your opinion.
