- The Elk this year in North Idaho are extremly quiet this year. I don`t know why but it is time to shake things up a bit. I am going to take a hike into some untapped woods to see if i can find them and get them pushed a little.

They were bugling like crazy in that state land north of John creek bridge on that SE corner just off the res.

Yeah my season ended on the 16th. Arrowed a nice little 5x5.
Killed my bull on the 12th still been in the elk woods every week sense then for fun, but it’s been stupid quite all season for me as well except for 20th through the 22nd they were screaming like crazy but back to dead silent. Weird year for sure!
@@gold54bs Awsome! Congrats on the bull. I had my hunt cut short due to work but i still had fun in the woods. I have managed to get out a few times since the hunt ended just for fun also. I still have a short rifle if i can get the time off. Would love to see a picture of your bull though.

I called in several bulls last weekend in unit 10 and I was just goofing around, I'm not a bow hunter

It was a weird year for sure. I hunted probably 15 days in September and only heard 3 bulls. I saw 7 bulls total and 0 cows.
Did better than me. 2021 I had bulls and cows everywhere, but not this year. I didn't tag out this year. Hope you did better.
