‘Summit Fever’, is the second single to be taken from The Mentulls’ highly anticipated upcoming album ‘Recipe For Change’, due for release on 22nd October via ProgBlues Music. The first single, ‘Easy To Walk Away’, was released in August to a hugely positive reception, receiving rave reviews & airplay on Planet Rock radio.
‘Summit Fever’ is a driving, atmospheric & catchy rocker, with music & lyrics penned by guitarist Andrew Pipe & vocalist David Neil Crabtree. While writing and recording the album, the band realised that a concept was emerging. The finished album includes a group of songs that are based around the story of a person who yearns for the countryside and a simpler way of living, after becoming weary of everyday city life and all its pressures. When talking about the song, the band said “Summit Fever deals with the album character’s life in the city with it’s sometime ‘dog-eat-dog’ nature & the hunger to succeed in that environment”
