Beautiful car, always loved the 3.3il. Fantastic colour Also. Haven't seen one in over 25 years on the road and I go to many classic car shows. Unfortunately most rusted away.
@@KingCast65 i have a E32 735iL Executive automatic from 1986. love it to death. I own it for 10 years now, bought it from the first owner, whom bought it new. 34 years ago. He even still had the purchase receipt from the BMW dealer where it was sold. 125.000 Guilder. It has automatic and manually hydraulic electric adjustable suspension, wich was a 10.000 guilder option, and that for 1986. What a car
@@lexburen5932 Hi Lex, the Guilders are some of the best-looking money in the World. I loved hanging in Amsterdam I thought I would run away there in the late 90's. Keep on enjoying that BMW! I am changing out my in-tank fuel pump now because it sat so long that when I ran additive in the tank the loose rust got caught in the strainer. It should be okay now though. Many thanks for the nice comments ZealandBreeze! I do like Mercedes as well and they are certainly great cars, but when it comes to the S-klasse from the seventies I personally feel that they lack finesse and appear more like overweight men compared to BMW's sleek and balanced design.
What a beautiful car! It reminds me of my fathers silver BMW 2800 which he drove in the early 70s - i remember the first time that we went over 200 km/h on the Autobahn with us kids in the back - what a thrill. Beautiful, tasteful and unusual color combination of the 3.3 as well. I love the dark grey polished paintwork and the toffee leather interior. But what i'm absolutely surprised of is the marvellous tune by the Lars Jansson Trio. Although i knew, listened to and love Esbjörn Svensson and Jacob Karlzon i didn't came across these fine Swedish musicians until now. Well, you learn for life. I can only thank you with a local German recommendation and hidden treasure from my hometown. Maybe you like to listen to the Sebastian Gahler Trio feat. Wolfgang Engstfeld. Thanks again for uploading this.
I have a ruby red 3.3li it was a show piece back in the early 2000s but has been neglected unfortunately . Beautiful classics, also have a n E21 Alpina Rep
The end of the line! And part of the reason I have owned five E12/E28 currently an '88 is. You have to think about the fact that even 30% had manuals. The last big BMW with a manual was the E32 IIRC I was in undergrad and worked at a parking garage in the 80's when they came out.
My absolute favorite post-war BMW. Still underrated. Big Healey's that leak oil go for $80kUS and you can get good/nice E3 for $6/7000, and they're faster, safer, ride better, handle better, and you can take all three or four of your favorite ladies with you.
Along with the Mercedes Benz 280 SE 3.5 and perhaps the more lavish Mercedes 300 SEL 6.3, this was a golden era for high performance luxury sedans, the 3.3Li being a prime example. 0-60 in a tad over 7 secs and a top speed of around 130mph were the stats I think. Or there abouts. Sure, many 4 door saloon cars are much faster in 2015, but this excessive performance is somewhat vulgar, and let's not forget that cars like the 3.3Li were groundbreaking pioneers for speed and comfort. This BMW is a beautiful example of a beautiful car.
cquilty1 Yeah great cars. I recently got a 85 E23 735i. I am surprised how much power it delivers (with a performance chip installed) despite having an automatic. Still has great kickdown power at 70 mph. Has 226k miles but still runs smooth at idle like new. I did have it lowered quite a bit (1.4 inches) and with 16 inch five spoke rims. Really transforms how it looks vs original.
@@DaytonCarCare i have the E32 735iL Executive, also an automatic, it is basically the same 3.5 motor as your E23. And despite weighing about 1800KG it moves very quickly. the 80s 3.5 inline 6 is a very good motor, even for today. So i am not surprised. little bit a shame that you have lowered it, but it is your car. Mine is completely original and stock, i own it for 10 years now, bought it from the first owner, wich bought it new, i even have the purchase receipt from new 125.000 guilder in 1986. it has the very rare 10.000 guilder optional automatic/manual adjustable electric hydraulic suspension, it is a pain in the ass to fix. But : What a car for 1986!

gorgeous car you have there i had a 3.0si Bavaria weak transmission went out on it i was 19 an had no money to fix it so i sold it i regretted it almost right after the guy towed it away

Hvilken herlig hyldest til en bayerisk topmodel! Meget fine billeder og topklasse musik. Meget flot video.
Hard to say, but it depends on the condition. A good one (Note 2 or Note 1) I would say in the order of 35-55 kEUR whereas a Note 3 would be just over 12-15 kEUR. There have been a few for sale at www.mobile.de and the price has been as high as 65 kEUR but I don't think this is realistic. This is my personal view. My car is not for sale... yet. :-)

To my knowledge 325 was never produced for the e21 model series. E21 was designed by Paul Bracq who also designed e12, e23/24 etc.
