It's nice to see how the way Mike speaks changes when he's relating to someone, instead of being a doctor that tries to explain something. Sure, he still explains, but he uses an entirely different way of speaking. This sounds more like how he'd likely be in person.

Actually a professional should know how to adapt their speech, that's why people that try to sound overly intelligent because they know more about a certain subject look actually dumber than the ones who don't know much, it's actually easier to get to the point in a conversation when adapting your speech rather than going in circles trying to make someone understand terms they aren't used to.

I have never thought how dangerous boxing is until I've watched this. If Dr. Mike ever gets a pro fight, I just feel like he has an advantage because he knows the anatomy and he be like reciting in his head everything that's happening in his opponent's body during the match. And what's great is that he can treat them after he beats them lol. 😂
Just knowing anatomy won't make you a boxer you still need to punch that specific location for it to work which requires years of training to achieve that precision and 2nd
Studying medical science doesn't ensure u to know where to hit. Professional coaches and boxers just know out of experience where to hit to get maximum damage out so being a doctor doesn't make u a fighter

Really enjoyed this video. The Doc taught us a lot of what is heappening inside the brain of the fighters. It really gives you a profound respect for the sport. Ryan seems to be a very nice intelligent young guy. I wish him many more successes in his life in and out of the ring.

Not many boxers show clips of them getting knocked out/down. Respect to Ryan for keeping humble and doing this to raise awareness of how boxing really is and show the younger generation you gotta have guts and passion to take up this sport not just for the clout and the views it brings.

I was playing baseball with my neighbor a couple years ago and I got knocked out. He hit the ball right back at my head and I remember a single frame of the ball halfway in between us before everything went black. I opened my eyes and everything was blurry and I couldn't control my body. I was trying to get up but I was just watching my arms and legs flail without any control or feeling. This lasted only a couple seconds before I got up and he was still running to second lol. I went inside after that and told my mom but we were confused as there was no mark from the ball on my head.

Watching those knockouts happen in real time and seeing you breakdown to ryan what occurred internally I feel like it made some concepts of his training click for him in a way that they hadn't before. The lightbulbs going off was so real. I freakin loved that.

Honestly, this was one of the best videos I’ve seen in a very long time being a boxing fan and an ex fighter having a Dr first hand explaining what could/would happen from a hit WITH the fighter there…..🔥

8:15 ive been kicked in the liver in sparring once(was not fun at all), your vision just goes blurry and you automaticaly just drop to the floor
True, I got hit in the liver once at a taekwondo sparring and I just dropped like a fish
While Snowboarding I once hit something under the snow I was riding through and it caused me to do an obviously unintentional frontflip, I landed so bad that I just folded and my knee hit me right on the liver, I had a slight liver bleeding as I found out about a week or two later at the doctor, so I actually got really lucky, but I couldn't move for probably a good minute, had no breath, could barely speak for like 15-20 seconds, would definitely not recommend lol.
I tried to snowboard pretty soon after, not even three weeks after and I was told not to, but idk I was a stupid kid, and that shit still hurt every time I tried to turn (everyone that snowboarded once knows how much you need to use your body/hips to steer) and it's just been an awful experience and I literally had to stop that day since I just couldn't ride without pain.

Yo Dr Mike, I just watched the Garcia vs Tank fight and thought of this video as soon as he dropped a knee after that body shot. Devastating. But so much crap talk now about how easy it was after the 9 count for Ry to get up. If only they knew the reason why. Ryan’s a champ in every definition of the word. No doubts he will rise above this loss and continue on his path to greatness with his integrity in tact

I *LOVE* liver shot knockouts. They almost always have that delay where the fighter thinks...I'm fine, then the organ says nuh uh. And they are just devastated.
