Reading to the Rainbow Dogs

Read To The Rainbow Dogs is a unique new program taking place in a north side Chicago Public Library. This pilot program is a fun way to build a child's confidence and improve their reading skills by creating a positive, non-threatening, and fun environment in which reading is facilitated. Therapy dogs provide the ideal audience in this setting.
The dogs come courtesy of Rainbow Animal Assisted Therapy, an organization that provides teams of specially trained and certified dogs and handlers who work with children throughout the Chicago area.
