    With a lot of today's "cartoons," the stories take a back seat to the animation and commercials for toys.

    the music that's in this cartoon not the wonderful theme song but the melodies that are the soundtrack are so wonderful especially the episode where Simon brings the circles back and gives them to the sun so the birds can talk to him if you can point me in the right direction to locate these songs i will be grateful ty.

    yes, it was on Captain Kangaroo....I can't remember if he actualy narrated it but, it
    was on it. I was happy when Pinwheel brought it back in the 80s.

    In the USA Captain Kangaroo did the narration. Also, some British terms like "military drill" were replaced.

      +L. Salisbury On Pinwheel they showed the original British version. I recall seeing the version with this narrator. I don't think I have ever seen a Captain Kangaroo narrated version.
