For my setup, it is just left open. To atmosphere. On a factory setup I believe it runs to the bottom of the intake elbow. Aka sampling air between the air filter and the throttle body blade.
Is your top port on the actuator hooked to a boost or vacuum source? It looks like boost on that cool piece you made. Is it not supposed to be hooked to vacuum for top port?
Top port should be connected to a boost source. But a boost source can be either positive (boost) or negative (vacuum). But basically it needs to sample pressure beneath the supercharger and before the heads. If it was just vacuum, when the blower builds boost, it would over power the spring in the bypass and leak boost out. Hope that explains it. Top of the actuator is boost (vacuum at idle) and bottom is atmosphere or intake elbow. ⚡
@@605BOLT ah yes! that makes perfectly good sense. I think I now know why mine isn't working properly. Going to verify the lines tonight. Appreciate the comments and will subscribe for more. 1 more question is there a link to that vacuum/boost block you have? It's a cool piece!
@@muffpipe84 not a direct link. But you can get in contact with Hose Hustler Timothy White and he can get one sent to you. He is the vendor I bought it from. He's good people. Do me a favor and mention you saw this video!!! If you don't have as much deleted as I do it might be a little different on your setup. 🍻
I have a 03 HD and have to pull the supercharger off to check everything i have a vacuum leak and i think its the one at the bottom of the turkeypan, and im definitely going to that vacuum valve when i start take it apart im in the middle of repainting it atm, but I like the Rail you put on it well look alot better then the stock setup,
Ya for sure. JC customs makes some badass stuff. If you call him/text him, make sure you mention you saw the block on this channel. Always nice to help a lightning guy sell some product and make more cool stuff. He's good people.
Super great info and video, love the content brother please keep it coming lol, but can I ask you this I need some expertise. Right now my truck has a 6lb lower and long tubes no cats or res just a muffler. And right now my truck is down because I want to go to e85 I just wanna know if 265lph pumps and 42lb injectors are gonna be ok??? I have a adjustable fuel pressure regulator just like you and a return line just like you, just curious if you think my pumps are to big for my power level.
I bet the pumps will be enough or close to enough but I imagine the injectors will come up short. I have deatschwerks 95lb injectors, dual 255 pumps and a boost a pump. Had 60# injectors that couldn't keep up so rather than getting 80s and outgrowing them I threw down and got the 95lb injectors which are basically 1000cc. I do not regret that. So sadly idk if you will have enough or not. But that's what I have. Appreciate you watching and commenting!
Where did you run the line from the bottom of the boost actuator? I didn't see that and am currently redoing a bunch of Vac lines on my 04

Now that is awesome 👌 ideal can't wait to see if done
It's done now but I have some editing to catch up on!

You're in the right place. Thanks for commenting and watching!!!!!

Clean work 🔥
Trying to make it a little better over the years. 👍
Hey man what alternator did you replace your old one with?
I used just a regular parts store one from Napa. I was not pleased overall. Motorcraft alternator will be my choice when this one goes.
I came across a J2 fabricated alternator have you heard of them before? It’s a 240a high performance
@@thelastslime3007 I have but I thought they only did 4.6 alternators. If they make one like you say I would buy it. I've heard of them before.
Subbed.. getting ready to 03 harley engine swap my 97 Lariat with a t56
Thanks man. That sounds like a great project. T56 should be rowdy.
It shows they are refurbished on their website
Oh well that makes sense then.
