Just found out you can in fact host a server for your friends as well. You just need to make it a public server and set a password for it, then connect to it like you'd connect to a regular server.

I had the same thing happen, odly just closing the game and trying it again made the internet tab appear again. Make sure you're opening the game from steam

Nahp. "internet" tab didn't show up in server list screen in PZ. This didn't work.

Project Zomboid Free Download (v41.78.16) works for this edition at least. Also do -debug for cheats in the steam launch options.
