I'm here in the Providence, Rhode Island Market. Platinum. I actually wish I ONLY received shop n deliver offers. DD sent me an email last week stating that I am prioritized to get S n D orders above other dashers. It has been working so well for me in this tiny state. Enjoy your videos!!!
Imagine if you could choose radius or mileage limits so you don't get sent 2 to 3 zones away. Also as a platinum Dasher I feel like you should be able to choose whether you are willing to take 8 $3 orders an hour or no order less than $10. Also the option like they have pause, to add orders until you hit pause. I don't have a preferences option other than cash on delivery. I don't mind shop & pay as long as they are up front about the order. For example: is it actually 3 items or 3 carts full of groceries you're picking up? Is this merchant ineligible for tips? And the option to select it like other platforms.
The end of dash destination was a pilot program for a while in my market a couple years ago but It disappeared when the pilot ended. It was nice though. You’d get a notification i think an 45 minutes or hour (I can’t remember exactly) before the end of your dash telling you to start heading back towards your end destination and it would try to give you orders going that direction. Sometimes it would send you offers going back the opposite direction but they usually weren’t long distance offers. It really helped me out a lot because I live 35 miles outside of the zone I dash in and it allowed me to end my dash on the edge of zone saving me 15-20 minutes on my drive home.
This is my issue with this what if I'm okay to do shopping delivery orders but I only want to shop anywhere from 1 to 5 items I just don't want to shop for 79 items at Aldi's I would prefer if it was setting a limit on how much you're willing to shop for and while we're on that subject how about setting a limit as far as pay and as far as mileage goes.
I wish I could toggle off certain stores like Cane’s chicken fingers. No I’m not going inside during lunch rush to wait 20 mins in long line to order and pay with red card, then wait for that order to be made after all the orders that were taken in front of me, then drive it 7 miles for $2.25 including 25 cent tip. 👍👍👍🤦♂️
I believe you can request this through support... at least we used to be able to. I know I originally requested to be taken off Walmart orders and I no longer received them. Restaurants can also request you be removed as a driver to their store, I believe. So you could ask the restaurant to do that for you.
@@HekylHydeRestaurants can certainly request a driver be removed as a driver from their establishment. Just make sure not to go the route that Chuck @dashingacrossamerica did.
In Augusta GA I only have toggles for deliveries and shop and deliver. The end of dash destination sounds great. Uber Rideshare has trip preferences so you can filter trips only heading towards a certain destination. If this is the same thing, that sounds really useful.
That’s weird because I Dash in Augusta GA and have toggles for shop and deliver, delivery and cash on delivery. Are you on Android or iPhone? The apps are different depending on which one you have. I’m using an iPhone. They used to have the end of dash destination in Augusta about 2 years ago but it was only a pilot program and it went away after a few months. I hope they bring it back because I live in Lincolnton and it was so nice being able to end my dash on that side of the zone. They really need to split the zones around here up though. They’re huge compared with other zones I’ve seen. The Aiken zone is over 40 miles across and the Augusta zone is just as big and with Fort Gordon right smack in the middle of it makes it even worse. I shouldn’t be ending up in Hephzibah or Blythe when I started my dash in Evans.
I had the shop and delivery and the food delivery toggle off/on, but it's gone. I watched your video and I checked. It's totally a pilot I guess, in my market. My zone is Iowa City, Iowa.
Man I HOPE they bring back the "end of dash destination" feature. They had it in my market like a year or so ago for a bit and I actually really liked it. When you just need one more order to hit your goal you enable that and it ONLY looks for orders heading close to wherever you pick(home). And unlike some people, I didn't abuse it. It helps filter out all the BS orders lol
You're right. Uber already has this feature. It's pretty nice. I will opt out of Alcohol deliveries and Pay With Cash Deliveries. I have no problem doing Shop & Pay Orders. I make sure the item count is low. (3 to 6 items)
I’m in a low demand area of northern New York State. I have the Dasher Preferences but it doesn’t have the same preferences that you showed in your video. I have, and toggled off, “Cash on Delivery”. It would be nice to have a preference where you can opt out of specific grocery stores or specific restaurants. The reception for my phone app is very poor in a particular grocery store in my area, if I don’t accept the order it dings my acceptance rate, but doing a shopping order there is a crap shoot. It would also be nice to not deliver to specific problem customers 😂 and have a black list?
I've had the alcohol tab for awhile. I find during holiday weekends the crappy alcohol orders come through. Usually the people tipping are preparing ahead of time. Sometimes later at night you can find those good orders as well.
I’m here the Florida pan-handle, and i have the options for shop and deliver, cash on delivery, and alcohol delivery. I turned them all off and was rewarded with more shop and deliver orders and even had some alcohol delivery orders. So, I’m not sure if those toggles are even doing anything anyway. They seem to just be sending you those types of orders anyway no matter what you choose as your preferences.
My driver Mike, thank you for the upcoming changes report that are coming to my doordash driver platform. In my small town area I can still retain top dasher - month long dash anytime -follow the rules. They haven't switched it here yet. I'm certain that will go away real soon. I'll give Doordash credit where credit is due. In an economy where inflation and fees rise on Doordash's side, the driver makes less and less, and less and less. The customers are disgusted because they see Doordash fees rise (including delivery fees), the delivery driver gets less and is begging for a $1 tip. The customer doesn't understand that us drivers are begging for tip money. I'm about to give up on one dollar tips for a Doordash customer screen wanting fees for this administrative fee and a delivery fee. I deliver food. Thanks for the $1 . I think I need to pause and think about my life.
I just checked my app, unfortunately don't have it in preferences. I have a suspicion that I'm not getting large restaurant orders, because of the occasional large shopping orders. Obviously very frustrating, would much rather do a $15 to $25+ restaurant order that may or may not have a small wait, than spend 30 minutes to an hour shopping. Would be great to toggle shopping off certain times of day.
We have hadctabs in boston for 9 months the earn by time does not work because most orders per offer are old or non tip . Drivers won't do. The last 3 days both types of dashes did not work. The ap says 3 to 4 dollars peak pay but no offers
Is gold and platinum wortth it? I have a very low acceptance rate because i know a way to go online whenever i want. Even in grey zones and without platinum =)
Then no, its not worth it. You still get good offers otherwise and having run both with and without - having it just makes your offers a bit better, but not worth taking the money loosing ones you need to get / keep that level. Scheduling is really the big thing and if you have a way around that do not bother. The main labeled high value items I get, once or twice a 6 hour shift, I kid you not is a $4 offer cause delivery is so short (so labled as "High Value"), which if there's a delay on pickup is not worth it.
We had it for alcohol and cash-back Deliveries for the longest in Tennessee. I did about 5 deliveries 6 months ago and they had it cause I took the Alcohol delivery off but it didn't matter I got scared and went back to a w2.I felt like a do boy doing door dash!!!!

They do that cause they want to verify that you’re actively using it.
@@robertclevenger3402 Makes sense! Though I didn't spend money on it to not use it haha
That's all garbage... we need a filter to stop getting low ball offers BIG TIME! There's no way for me ever to get my AR up when all I get is $4.00 orders for 15 miles. I rather a filter than toggle off shop and pay or anything else!
I wanna toggle off anything below $2 a mile
Here in California, we had dash preferences, now they took it away
I’m in California and still have them
i’m feeling that this is a diversion. DoorDash is not doing too well and they’re trying to distract us with these stupid options knowing dang well they haven’t figured out how to to pay their drivers @mike i’m not understanding why we continue to entertain this BS I’m not getting any offers like I used to and to entertain this BS on the platform just makes me want to block you . Majority of your viewers are seasoned Dashers The question is why entertain this tell us the facts are not hypotheses nerve-racking.
i think door dash is about to close their doors..
This has always existed. lol
