Very very good interpretation with strong individual ideas, very clean chord leaps and extremely clear sound is achieved. Thank you for your amazing performance!
No one will ever top this, and I doubt that anyone will ever even match its extraordinary musical, as well as technical excellence. In the first presentation of the theme, no one has ever dispatched the 3rds like this. . . they're somehow 'non legato,' and strikingly crisp and clear. I'd label this performance as a one-time-only phenomenon. And what a pleasure to watch a pianist with such impeccable, thoroughly professional stage demeanor, unlike that other Asian, showmanship-addicted clown whose name is Lang-something or other (I never can remember his last name).
@@richardvolpe7664 Listen to Berezovsky France dvd record, which is by far the best interpretation. Then there is some other good performances. This one is stokatto crippled worse-than-mediocre one. Sorry.
@@theonehappyorc1235 For the life of me, I don't understand what you're trying to say in your third sentence. Would you like to rephrase it? By the way, I listened to Berezovsky; he's quite good, but I prefer Zhang (who doesn't sweat at all. . . not relevant, I know. . . just felt like mentioning it).
@@Maywek bro imagine someone playing piano while back flipping. like you reach a part of the piece with a rest, you get up and do a back flip infront of the audience and sit back down and continue playing. I kinda wanna see that actually 💀
Superb performance. One of the best Mazeppas I've heard.
ToAlgorox: ONE of the best? There are other performances out there that are equal to this?
@@richardvolpe7664 You're right. Haven't heard one yet. This is more polished and nuanced than Yunchan Lim's.
Yeah, I’m still wondering how anyone can get this clarity in Mazeppa

Really like the fingering, makes it more bouncy and fluid. Also the interpretation in general is really good.
Very unique interpretation
quite possibly the coolest thing ever
I think he has the best interpretation!
It is one of the best versions in my opinion.

Since you've ostensibly been living under a rock, I would like to introduce you to Yunchan Lim and the van Cliburn competition
@@richardvolpe7664 I forgot to add a sarcastic emoji, so you knew I was teasing you 😄sorry about that! No harm intended

Just saw you in St. Paul! Great concert. The Mozart encore brought tears to my eyes and reminded me of learning it as a small child.
What piece did he play for encore?
Very unique interpretation. I like it!
I love your interpretation and how evenly you play this
Четко как! Мне понравилось. Браво!
Your unique interpretation but I really like it!
Really terrific! Hope you have been safe in China during this period.
So glad to meet another inspiring artist to follow.
Insanity right here
this is one of the best interpretations of this piece ive heard, but what's with the head shaking it's like he's being electrified sometimes lol
Its for showoff
He could be doing backflips for all I care, this rendition is the most unique I’ve heard. Really great stuff.

But why not showing the hands more often xD
생과사를 다투는 긴박한 마제파의 상황이 아닌 춤추고 있는 ?
This is phenomenal playing but I don't like the interpretation. It seems way out of the mainstream for this piece
I understand that, but isn’t that the point of interpretation?
Ужасное стокатто на мой вкус.
