这钢琴低音真难听。第一个音出来就是瘪的。2：42没有琵琶，只能闹补。录音工程师该打P股，钢琴像缩在了后台，没去现场听过，尽从录音上听，效果类似广场演出，声音是散开。钢琴独奏技术没问题，就是嫩了点，需要更多的历练。
Notes. Lots of notes. Lots of pedal stomping too. Alas to no avail.
钢琴家一流👍🏼 👍🏼🎉指挥速度,在东方红旋律出现起 过早拉开 放慢，（应当只在歌词的“出了个…”拉开 摆开,从整个句子要表达强调的是那里）其次整个快节奏部分略显赶了一点.快节奏中应有的轻重缓急 对比没有了 出不来。不过我一直很欣赏这位指挥家以往的作品😂

Possessing a degree of technical finesse and mastery so high as to be attainable by only a few pianists, he gives an astounding (live!) performance, bristling with all manner of imaginative 'twists' and nuances. . . and at the most rapid tempo possible. I seldom use this word, but in this case, "miraculous" seems to be the only word to describe his conception and delivery of one of the most difficult piano pieces ever written.
No one will ever top this, and I doubt that anyone will ever even match its extraordinary musical, as well as technical excellence. In the first presentation of the theme, no one has ever dispatched the 3rds like this. . . they're somehow 'non legato,' and strikingly crisp and clear. I'd label this performance as a one-time-only phenomenon. And what a pleasure to watch a pianist with such impeccable, thoroughly professional stage demeanor, unlike that other Asian, showmanship-addicted clown whose name is Lang-something or other (I never can remember his last name).
@@richardvolpe7664 Listen to Berezovsky France dvd record, which is by far the best interpretation. Then there is some other good performances. This one is stokatto crippled worse-than-mediocre one. Sorry.

99% agreed. The 1% of course would be Yunchan Lim at the 2022 Cliburn. There we had all twelve in the one hour. The amazing thing was YL's FF had to follow his sweaty furious Mazeppa with a few seconds to transition. Have you seen it? Waddya reckon?@@richardvolpe7664

It's car that HaoChen Zhang is a far better pianist than Lang Lang and YuChia Wang. He is of a different class.

Lazar Berman blows everyone else out of the water. But the Zhang recording is phenomenal.

For those who never heard Haochen perform live, UA-cam sound could never possibly pick up all of his CONSTANT subtlety. He has matured into a shockingly great musician and pianist. And dont judge by this covid era piece he learned and had little chance to perform. Listen to his recent recording of it. And listen to his Beethoven concertos which are flawless and ingeniusly expressive.

Why is no one mentioning the shockingly superb and mind blowing performance of Feux Follets? You're all up in Mazeppa for some reason.
To organboi: His Feux Follets borders on the miraculous, with its wondrous, imaginative nuances which he manages even while employing the fastest tempo possible. And how refreshing to see such a fine, young pianist perform in a thoroughly professional manner, without the slightest trace of the tasteless, often outrageous, theatrical, audience-manipulating, pseudo-emotional antics of that other Asian pianist (you know. . . the one whose initials consist of the doubling of the 12th letter of the alphabet).
@@richardvolpe7664 😄 well said. I agree. All I know is HZ played the Beethoven 5th concerto with the Atlanta Symphony several months ago and it was the best concerto performance I've ever heard in my long life. The most musical and expressive playing imaginable. I'll never forget it.
@@organboi I'm not surprised. This young pianist has everything: musical intelligence and sensitivity, a lofty degree of technical mastery, and a professional, distinguished stage presence. Have you heard his Prokofiev toccata? I couldn't imagine a more effective performance. I believe we can look forward to more superb work from this extraordinary artist.
