Chris, in the opening part of this video you are thanking those of us who responded and supported your "Part 1" last week - but those of us who enjoy your personality and your videos thank YOU for coming back to the channel! Thank you.
Thanks Cathy. I'm truly humbled to all the responses to last week's video. It's certainly given me the inspiration to make more videos 👍😊
@@HereWeAreRunning You're welcome, Chris. I am glad your fans remembered you and welcomed you back. Now go find me some of those black and white cows!!! 😄
Always good to see you back Chris, that was a damn fast mile. Nothing more annoying when you're at a fast pace and a car is turning lol. I love my longer runs but kind of dread the all important fast runs even though they are just as important.
Thank you, I know what you mean. At the moment I'm a bit out of my comfort zone on both faster running and long runs. Hoping to gradually reintroduce both back into my training 👍😊
Blimey Chris that was quick!! 🏃🏻♂️👏😅
Thanks Michael. Much quicker than I was expecting and quite encouraging 👍😊
What an interesting video that was😀. I love the commentary on the fast mile, great running and great entertaining Chris, Thankyou 👏👏
Thanks Tina, glad you enjoyed it. Hope everything is going well with you 👍😊
Still got the pace now just need some consistency to build the base to support it. Great stuff after the disrupted training. Great to hear you are enjoying the journey again.
Thanks Mark. Consistency is key and my top priority 👍😊
Another excellent video 🎉🎉🎉 and, Cows !
Thanks Kerry. Can't beat a bit of cow footage 👍😊
👌👍
👍😊
Another brilliant video! Great test to see the comparison between the fitness levels! Very good result this time with everything considered 💪🏻💪🏻 been running for about 3 years now and one thing I’ve never tried is to run my fastest 1 mile? May have to give it a go after watching this 😁 great video and once again it’s great to have you back uploading! 👏🏻
Thanks Gary. Running a fast mile is a good distance to use as a baseline, especially when returning to more consistent running like me. I'll look to do a 5k sometime soon but probably need a bit more endurance first 👍😊
Good test and comparison Chris! Still got a bit of pace in the legs. 😎🤘
Thanks Ben. More than I thought I'd have 👍😊
Great posting Chris. Looks like you have good baseline fitness. Good luck on steadily improving. I'm looking forward to next week already...Cheers! Phil
Thanks Phil. Just got to stay consistent and gradually build up. Feels like I'm on the right path again 👍😊
@@HereWeAreRunning Yes mate. You're back on track. Build slowly.....
Part 2…. I was like where’s part 1! All caught up now. Great to see you back, family first ❤
Can you link the Garmin virb link to get the correct working file please, or explain what’s needed to make it work properly. Very hard to find correct info for this, would make a great video 😊
Thank you and glad to hear that you found part 1 👍😊
The Garmin virb link to download the software is here: www.garmin.com/en-GB/p/573412
I did find that it threw up a few errors but it worked well enough to produce this video.

@@HereWeAreRunning thanks
There are times when I have gotten lazy and un-motivated and quit running for a time, and my resting heart rate has climbed as high as 71 beats per minute. When I am fully fit, my heart rate is as low as 54. I am older than you are, so I think it's good when I am fit enough for a 54 resting heart rate. [And I think it's bad when I quit running sometimes and get out of shape.]
I must check my resting heart rate. I often tend to take my watch off after runs, so don't capture many metrics when I'm not running.
@@HereWeAreRunning I used to check my resting heart rate at "quiet times" like when sitting for a long time watching TV News - but currently the American political news just makes me mad and increases my heart rate! But yes, do check it during your non-running times as well, to determine if you are recovering from the "stress" of your workouts.
I like the scenery of this speed-test run better - but you used to have a more ideal place to do your speed and tempo runs - wasn't it some kind of air field or car track or something like that? A big round paved track around a grass field with no intersections to interrupt your run tempo? You even raced Rory there once, I believe.
Yes, an old aerodrome, which is good for longer distances (5km, 10km) as its a loop but is also impacted by any wind. Also not quite so local.
@@HereWeAreRunning Oh, okay. I just remembered it being smooth and flat and without intersections to interrupt it - but I like the scenery better in today's video anyway. You have probably long forgotten a video you made of a 10K in London that I absolutely loved. I watched it four times. And then there was the "fun" video where you "fell over" on the North Downs Way. Fun stuff!
I'll never forget falling over in that NDW video. Made for a good start of the video 😂
@@HereWeAreRunning Yes, it was a good start. The reason I remember it so clearly is because you used that typical deadpan, low-key English humor, where you quietly, simply said, "I fell over." No drama, just a quiet announcement. Your understatement made it funny! 😀
No no no, Chris, NOT those cows! I love the cows you showed a couple of years ago -- the black ones with the wide white "band" around their mid-bodies. I have never seen cattle like that here in the USA - but they are beautiful! Plus you guys have Larry the Cat at the Prime Minister's residence. You've got it all!!!! [We just have ugly Donald Trump - but I would gladly give him to you, if I could.]
