This is an extensive, dedicated, and informative video. 👍 Good to know there's a free shuttle from the rental car return to the airport. It was cool to see the airport and the different subway gates and rides. Thank you for your hard work and for sharing this video, AK! 🤗
Fun fact: Seattle Tacoma international airport is home of the largest parking structure in the U.S., and the second largest in the world. The original part of the airport terminal was constructed in the 40s, and it still stands today, though it’s essentially been built outward in all directions and is part of the current structure.
Informational and great video from the airport , your rental car loooked quite nice btw 😎Nice shuttle bus ride to the terminal 3:41 and the bus itself looked quite clean and comfy , 13:14 Seattle Airport looks quite busy ,thank you for the tour at there 🙂Thank you for sharing this enjoyable video A K🙂👍!!!
Thanks so much for making this video. We are headed in a few days to SEATAC for a connecting flight to Alaska and this was SO HELPFUL! I feel confident that I can maneuver in SEATAC now!
THESE VIDEOS ARE AMAZING!!!! I love how complete this video is. It makes me feel like I am actually at the airport with you. Please make more videos like this.
I was there last weekend, and I love it I'm considering moving out there before I get to that phase I'm going to visit there twice again when the summer one in the winter the see how it's.
I worked in the B Course for many years as a gate agent. These brings back such great memories. Those clocks on the ceiling have been there over 30 years.
It's not nearly as big as Atlanta nor O'Hare nor LAX but it carries a lot of passengers (nearly 50 million per year pre COVID) and it's almost returned to that level now. The total footprint of the airport (including runways) is much less than most other large US airports.
Thank you for this because it’s my first time using car rental in WA and I was scared taking a shuttle alone and how much it would be but I see that it is free
Have you never been to Atlanta airport? That airport also has a subway between terminals. Also, Fort Lauderdale also has a shuttle between the terminal and the rental car center. Thank you for the videos - it's almost like being in Seattle and Hawaii.
Great job! I'm a huge Alaska Airlines fan and just to let you know they have 3 lounges at the airport. one near gate N2, another near gate C16A and another near gate D1 for your next visit so you can check them all out and enjoy! BTW the rental cars are twice the distance away from the airport in Oakland than they are from SeaTac. Also, it's pronounced Spo-can (not like a cane of sugar). It's hard enough tell you how to pronounce Puyallup, Issaquah, Stillaguamish, Skookumchuck, Skokomish, Snohomish, Pe Ell, Sequim, Etc.
To answer your question about the shuttle train that doesn't operate from Midnight-4:30am, the shuttle only connects both ends of the main terminal. However, both loops to the N & S gates do operate 24 hours since the train is the only way to connect to the main terminal.
Back in the 70's when they opened the train system, going to Sea-Tac was very cool. Seattle area is now almost 4 times as big and airport traffic has increased like crazy, the airport is hemmed in with zero room for physical expansion. So basically everything must be done with smoke and mirrors :) They've done a pretty good job of it for the most part. Odd that the shuttle dropped you on the lower level where passengers arrive. As a departing passenger you should have been dropped at the upper level.
as my home airport, yes i'll confirm S and N are only acessible by the train they are satellite terminals N used to be a dump but got a big remodel recently. Thanks for the lounge tour Alaska is my main airline but never gone in before
I live in Seattle so I especially found this video very informative even though I have flown out of SeaTac countless times. I almost always fly Alaska so there were lots of parts of the airport that I had no idea existed. I am curious if you carry a step counter on your watch or phone, I bet you walked a minimum of 5 miles on this tour of airport. Thank you so much for visiting and I hope you come back again.
Excellente video: Quick questions? 1 - What is a good estimate for a rental car of one week? 2- If im flying with Alaska airlines how much time takes from the rental car terminal to the gate? 1:30 ? Thanks!
You should consider getting an Alaska Lounge membership. Their lounge at the N gates is the best one at SEA. They make awesome Bloody Mary cocktails at the bar.
im from alaska. The airport I say here is 2x bigger wider larger then the anchorage airport, I do admit anchorage airport is big but the probably is not so easy to get lost then seattle, I feel like i gonna get lost
That's kinda what that connector line does. The subway was built actually in the 70's when they put in the north and south terminals, it would be difficult to connect them all for the marginal improvement it would bring I'd say.
That’s why I like ur videos they r long detailed gives u a scense of being there. Don’t change anythg

You’re welcome! I got to know the Seattle airport pretty well making this video
This is the longest airport orientation video I have ever seen. Absolutely brilliant! Thank you!!!

Yeh, that parking garage is something else !

My pleasure, glad you enjoyed the video!
AK, thanks for allowing us to watch this wonderful trip through your eyes!
You’re welcome, glad you enjoyed it!
Starting to watch. Thanks for doing this. Hello from northeast Ohio.
You’re welcome!

Seemed like The Actionkid walked 🚶♂️many miles & the subway 🚇 was really nice & futuristic. The Alaska lounge looked awesome 👌 ! 🐼
The Alaska Lounge surprised me too!

Thank you for sharing, I have a bad fear or heights and these type of videos help so much!
Those moving sidewalks are so cool. great video AK ty!
I'm coming to Seattle soon, this video helps, thanks
Thank you. Very informative.
Thank you
I think this airport is bigger then the Atlanta airport. That was certainly a lot of walking. Thanks AK

Hello ACTION KID greetings from Independence Missouri
Thank you so much

I’ve never been to the Atlanta airport and I had no idea Fort Lauderdale had a shuttle like that either
I remember DFW airport having a subway train between terminals years ago. It saves a lot of walking.

Not to mention Colville & Chewelah. 😂
The line for the shuttle bus when we arrived there in June 2024 was a lot worse than that. Crazy busy airport.

You’re welcome, there were so many gates within the airport

i always fly AK too but always walk around only never gone to S rental terminal and the new IAF of course
Glad you found this video useful! This airport is so large
Fun fact for your next visit, ActionKid: Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is located in the city of SeaTac, which was named after the airport.
Dang it I’m getting nostalgic
Excellente video: Quick questions?

Heh my niece works for Alaska she manger in the cargo department
Very nice!
Nice video here.. curious where were you flying out to from seatac Airport?? 😊
I'm surprised how long it took going from the rental car drop off to your gate....1 1/2 hours and that's with the security check in edited out.
отправляю жену в Сиэтл и хочу чтоб она не заблудилась в аэропорту. Посмотрел видео, стало немного понятнее этот аэропорт.
I will be there in a few days. It looks daunting. How far is the light rail shuttle from Alaska?
Can someone explain the process of airport flying? First timer here and I have no clue what to do. Do I check in bags first, security etc…????
54:03 Pet relief area complete with fire hydrant. 😄
Well at least this airport isn't boring like some . Those rocks are so out of place I like them 7/10 from me .
We are going to Maui next Month
im from alaska. The airport I say here is 2x bigger wider larger then the anchorage airport, I do admit anchorage airport is big but the probably is not so easy to get lost then seattle, I feel like i gonna get lost
they should connect the two airside subways at SEA.
That's kinda what that connector line does. The subway was built actually in the 70's when they put in the north and south terminals, it would be difficult to connect them all for the marginal improvement it would bring I'd say.
49:35 why on earth is that girl just sitting on the floor like that I wonder...
@@alibhg3063 the floor is dirty, that's why I think it's unusual to sit on it if there are chairs around
She’s probably just relaxing
@@alibhg3063 no no no, nothing is dirtier than the floor
Makes you realize how undersized NYC's airports are, huh?
😮😮😮😮😮
This is not an airport, Amsterdam Schipol is an airport
