Truly a delightful adventure in Seattle! The classics - the Space Needle, Waterfront and Pike Place. Iconic for a reason. Beautiful weather, great views and no hiccups w tech. A real treat, will watch again.
Thank you for showing OUR WONDERFUL CITY in, on, & at a good light Good Sir! With all of the different issues the cities of Thee United States are enduring right now it sure is a sweet breath of fresh air to see & hear the good stuff! Thank You! Peace Love & Music From Seattle! ✌️ 💜 🎶~206
I am a Seattle-born Boomer now...I am so glad that Seattle has retained much of it's 1962 World's Fair properties!..I attended the Fair as a 15yo kid...it was a revelation to me...and it really graduated Seattle from being just another big "town", into a very progressive, more modern big City! For sure, the Fair was the most significant Civic event of the last half of the 20th century. It should be noted, that surrounding local smaller towns and neighborhoods boost the population of the local area to well over 2 million. The Seattle I grew up in had maybe a half million folks. Time marches on!
Thank you for taking us on a virtual walking tour of Seattle, the Emerald City! From the Space Needle to Pike Place Market, you've captured some of the city's most iconic landmarks and sights. It's fascinating to see how the city blends modern architecture with historic buildings, creating a unique and charming atmosphere. Seattle's beauty and energy truly shine through in this video, and it's no wonder why it's such a popular destination for travelers. Thanks for sharing this wonderful experience with us!
That settles it. I am going to visit Seattle. I have been thinking about it for a long time now. Also, want to go whale watching while I am there. Nice tour. Thank you.
Enjoyable premiere and the starting point couldn’t be better than that , The Space Needle at the background 0:24 , quite pricey tickets to the Needle but probably worth it 🤔 14:08 The Space Needle is quite an impressive building ,so many great restaurants along your walk like at 28:10 , what a view 47:41 😎The Pike Place Market has so many levels that makes that place huge 🙂The gum wall , disgusting but must to visit at 1:11:09 🤣Thank you for sharing this enjoyable and relaxing video A K 🙂👍!!!
So glad the weather is nice in Seattle during your visit! ☀ It was cool to see the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, the waterfront, and etc! 😍 It was interesting to see the infamous colorful gum wall again. 🤣 I've passed by through Seattle during a family road trip to Vancouver when I was a kid, but I didn't get to explore the city. Your coverage will help me plan my future Seattle trip! 😎 Thank you for sharing this informative walk, AK! 🤗
Looking good and glad there was nice weather during your visit. I'm down in Portland and haven't been to Seattle in at least 10 years. My relative used to live up there on Aurora Ave. They had a new 2 bedroom apartment back in the year 2000 and the rent was only $800, which they split with a roommate.
I was surprised you didn’t know there was a restaurant at the top of the Space Needle. (Not meant as a criticism). I have been there a couple of times, DECADES ago. I got my first job after graduation the UW years back and took my friends for a dinner there. I really enjoyed how you’ve shown things that have come to be since the Worlds Fair. Seattle Center is something that has amazingly survived from the 1963 event. I was a busboy there and worked at Orange Julius as well. I loved being able to go to the Science Center over and over. VERY NICE WALKING TOUR
I am loving the Emerald city and some of these back street walks . The people must be nice, if they can walk their pet cat around the famous fish markets .
A life-long resident of this area...and I can tell you that while people here are superficially "nice", they are not particularly warm, friendly folks. Younger people seeking mates, refer to the "Seattle Freeze:, wherein, you exchange phone numbers, and then nothing is followed up! Of course, more people now just go to various dating sites on their cell phones!...glad I am old now!
Hopping all the people waiting on line at Starbucks for a hour and a half got a good cup of coffee. Thanks for the show Action kid. From Highland falls New York
Seattle has many sunny days, beginning from late April, and increasingly through late September. But it also has many cloudy/ rainy days, and is tied with London for the least total number of sunny days!...I know about this, having lived my 76 years in the Seattle area. 38" of rain is not really that much in total, but it does show up unexpectedly, even in summertime! Seattle is like number 16 in the top 20 rainiest cities in the USA. As a native resident, it does not bother me, but transplants from other, sunnier parts of the country, frequently suffer from a type of depression "SAD"-seasonal affective disorder!
This has to be an edited video, blue sky in Seattle doesn’t exist. If there isn’t grey sky and rain I can’t bring myself to believe it’s real as the multiple times we’ve visited from Australia is has been nothing but rain rain rain. So this has to be computer generated blue sky Hahaha jk. Great video mate. Love your work. I honestly enjoy watching all your videos/walk of these places we have visited on our holidays. Brings back so many feelings.
If you can you should head north on interstate 5 to Skagit valley they have in bloom tulip fields while there you could go to Anacortes and take the San Juan islands ferry. I grew up in Anacortes and returning to pnw this summer.
I was so sad, when the venerable, rotating restaurant atop the Space Needle was replaced with just a sort of sandwich bar!...the viewing area is more modern though. Still, it was nice to have a nice dinner at the old restaurant, while the entire restaurant rotated 360* once an hour, providing excellent views of Seattle! It was pricey, but not too bad. The Needle is slightly over 600' tall, but the viewing deck is at the 550' level. The late civic dynamo, Eddie Carlson, got the idea for the Needle, when visiting a European country that had a similar structure. Eddie grabbed a table place mat, and scribbled a very basic outline as to what he thought the Space Needle should look like. That place mat was kept by Carlson for years, but eventually went on display in a local Museum! Carlson himself was an amazing success story...He started out as a bell-hop at a Seattle Hotel, and ended up as Vice -President of Westin Hotels! He was integral to the idea of having a World's Fair in Seattle. We were blessed to have a group of civic business leaders who shared a great vision. The Fair drew over 10,000,000 folks in the summer of 1962...and was one of only two World's Fairs in history, to actually make a profit.
That little fountain is not the "iconic" fountain. The main one is called The International Fountain and it is huge, probably 50 times this size of the small one in front of Space Needle. Lived in Seattle for 70 years and have been there too many times to count. Also the Gum Wall is just right below Pike Place market, you walked right by it. It's right below the famous flying fish market.
Alweg went out of business many years ago...but Seattle has it's own Monorail Repair facility, and somehow keeps that now elderly monorail going...There was a time when the monorail concept was considered the future of transportation for larger cities...but it is just too expensive to build and maintain...That Seattle monorail really has obstructed what was once a wide, city street, although some room for autos was factored in. As a Seattle native, I like the concept, but realize it was not really a serious display for future transportation needs.

You’re welcome, it was my pleasure to visit Seattle and share all these cool places
Sadly when I was there, Seattle was in its raining mossy season didn't experience the beautiful weather.

Much appreciated, I really enjoyed my first visit to Seattle
Seattle is Extremely Clean!! Nothing like the streets of NY. Its Very inviting &Nice!! ❤❤❤😂
Brings back memories of 2019 with my sons. It costs too much to go to the top of the Space Needle now. Public Market is just as good as decades ago.
I love Seattle Washington, my favorite city.
Wow… at least I know they are fixing up the park next to Pike Place. I love sitting out there looking at the water. Make me want to go back now lol
That’s awesome
Wonderful walking tour in Emerald city
Thank you so much!

Wow! that gum wall is crazy....
Welcome to Seattle 😮
Looks a great city!
AK Please do a live or video and go up the Space Needle! I was there a few years ago and couldn't go and would love to see it
The Space Needle is so cool
Thanks for sharing. Nice city.

Thank you for the video. I learn so much from the different destinations you take us too. 😊

Now, that same apt would likely go for around $2500/mo!...Very hard for folks to actually live within the city limits!
Thank you for sharing great video! I’ll visit Seattle this month it will help me to navigate where to walk around in Seattle :)
Thanks for sharing.Really Cool!
Beautiful cat
55:34 I remember these two from the end of your monorail video. Small world.
I haven't been there since 1997. Then the monorail was free. And it looks like the huge fountain where that playground is now is gone.
Yeah i always liked that fountain. I mostly remember it because that was where Kurt Cobains “vigil” or memorial was.
The huge fountain called The Internation Fountain is still there, AK just didn't get around to where it's located.
@@candismith4080 Thanks, that's nice to know. That's a cool gathering place to go and just relax.
@@JILOA Your very welcome, today it's 80 degrees and I bet the place is packed for sure.
Seattle Welcomes .. The Actionkid ! Nice Walk 🚶♂️ On A Beautiful Day 🐼

Haha, I hope they got some Starbucks!
When was this Video taken? Such gorgeous weather! Much unlike what I was told about the dreadful weather in the City.

Gotta visit more, definitely Seattle and Washington state in general get all seasons and have plenty of blue skies with no edit.

There is a great Starbucks at Pioneer Square in Portland.

Thank you so much for the update, I looked at some pictures and it looks gorgeous! I visited the gum wall near the end of the video.
Was in Seattle during the Autumn of 2019.
Oh wow, Seattle? Makes me think of Frasier! I keep reading about how bad it is there now, so you can show us the truth.
Enjoyable video of this wonderful city. Note: that was not the "iconic" water fountain of the Seattle Center, which is much larger. 😊
My route in walking from Lower Queen Ann to downtown: 1st Ave then on to 4th Ave to downtown.
vintage ty spotting at 55:15 lol
Can you please turn on the subtitles? I can't turn it on on my end. Thank you.
Actionkid makes awesome videos!
Alweg also built the Disneyland monorail.

At least in Downtown San Jose: no road to avoid walking downtown. Very enjoyable. Downtown San Jose is much more pleasant is safe.
downtown seattle is plenty safe as well.
Updated title: walking from the heroin needle to tweaker alley
I don't for the gum wall either ak
Seattle is a beautiful , design and green city compared to Vancouver is mainly concrete , electric wires , homeless and bland urban development .
