I have the M20 version of that same flywheel from RHD and have been fairly happy with it. I had already replaced the starter the year before so I didn't think it made sense to change it again. Though I'm only shooting for 15lbs or so of boost so it should be fine
i'm curently using custom setup on my turbo m20 too, OEM m20 flywheel with sachs 4 pads clutch from e92 (228mm 22 tooth for 6 speed gearbox) disc and sachs reinforced mecanism like your's. I was looking for something more simple for my next upgrade with a light flywheel, and this is exactly what i need, and can use E46 clutch disc like as well, so thanks you :D
Do you have a part number for the m5 clutch itself? If i wanted to buy the "sport" pressure plate and the m5 clutch the link you posted only comes with a kit so i would have an extra pressure plate. Thanks, great video
@@TurbineResearch I’m having issues with clutch, unfortunately I wasn’t part of the build on the E30 and think this is my problem at the moment. How can I get in touch with you aside from here?
@@TurbineResearch Wait, I just rewatched this and realized something. You're using the e34 M5 disk with the 765 pressure plate? So, you have to buy the RHD flywheel, the clutch kit, the HD pressure plate, and the starter to make this work?
Make more m20 boost videos like this! Love it
Thanks for watching 🙏 I have more on the way !

Thank you ! I'm glad it was helpful ☺️
What throw out bearing should be used on this setup? I have an 85 325e doing 2.7 with 2.5 head and boost
So this is bolt on kit, stock e30 m20, stock throw out bearing for e30 is good for this setup
Im having trouble with starting the car after getting this setup. Mechanic said might be the crank sensor. Any ideas?
what release bearing you use with that clutch combo?
also what other 240mm flywheels beside 240mm rhd you can use ?

Sachs Mfg #21212226428
Should i run a different throwout bearing with this setup or the one thats included in clutch kit is okay?
WHAT RELEASE BEARING DID YOU USE? FROM THE SACHS CLUTCH KIT?
It’s been a while but I think it was just the sachs e30 one
@turbineresearch so without the upgraded pressure plate, we would just buy the clutch kit you linked and the flywheel and starter?
Yes, if you want the most performance you can get the upgraded pressure plate. Otherwise just the standard M5 clutch kit will work
I’m interested In these products. Do you know how I can get them in the States?
I’m in the states too. Just ordered them from RHD and they will ship worldwide

The clutch kit in the links is a different PN than the video says. Which is correct?
The kit is for a e34 M5 clutch kit
