Finally someone who has the same thoughts as me about hotter cams on those old 12Vs. Power and torque will be raised but not really shifted to higher rpm and power will fall off in a similar way as with an OE camshaft. And low end torque might as well get even worse than stock... Not completely sure yet but I think I will go with a stock cam and even small 2.0L cylinder head on my 2.8L turbo M20. Wonder if that will net me 500+ hp via kind of like a "progressive" boost curve tho 😅 Cool content, keep going! Looking forward to your 3.1L

You find 14 degrees ok on 14psi... ok. But why do you keep the same advance on 7psi and 3 psi... you should linearize from 100kpa stock timing to your 14 degrees no??
This is a simple example of how you work up to the ideal ignition advance on a dyno. After you find that ideal ignition advance you can interpolate and smooth the graph 📈

as for timing drag race we alway run 37 degrees or less 40 degrees on gas if we used 45-50 it would burn up immedietlly
Would you happen to know if this will work with haltech ic7 dash with can bus connection? Found your channel about maxxecu. I sold my haltech 550 so need a new ecu for my honda b18b turbo. Was going to get the mini but would have to get a wideband controller so price wpuls be pretty close to street version. Does this ms have built in wideband control? If not, what wpuld you recommend? Priced out, would the Maxx street be best option?
Edit.. just saw it was a b on ecu side. So never mind. Thanks for the video. Wonder if you can change the usb tuning cable to usb-b to usb-c?

My wing is all cracked and dry rotted since it’s like a rubber kinda texture. I wanna take the wing off and replace it but re use the painted fiber glass piece. Is it possible to pop off the fiberglass and replace the wing and re use it?

Any particular changes to this method if my car is running on e85? My miata currently idle hunts and especially after being warmed up it revs itself up to about 2-3K RPMs and sits there. I've also noticed idle hunting become worse when my radiator fans kick on. Kind of awkward and don't know why but would love some advice on that!

Btw..... I used a harbor freight, Barney gun 1.4. That was on the neon I shot red. NO1 believed I used the Barney except a helper who watched me. Body men swore it was my sata. Yep, I like SATAs some don't. Everyone has their favorite gun tho. Just wanted to share. Not the gun that made the paint job look good. 20 bux. 25 with a gauge I think. I would reconsider using that 1.2 but if you like it, go for it. 1.3 much better I do 1.4 some 1.3. Everyone has a preference and most clears say what tip they recommend. 👍
I've shot Nason alot, but the 78 hardner is way to fast, maybe for a mirror or bumper cover but 79 is best harder. Lays out slick n I use SATA 1.4 &1.3 Hopefully you have tried 496 with 79. Overall try 465 with 85 n 22 reducer. Air dry overnight 84 harder is ok. But slower is always faster. Nason I love it n very cost effective. I've been spraying 41 yrs collision shop I own. IF you haven't tried 496 n 465 for larger jobs even allover is great. I use Axalta clear in house but Nason on other customers jobs. The 496 I used with 79 was a neon and it still looks great. I shot a 2 tone truck with 465 next day. This was 6 yrs ago, still looks great. Remember, never rush yourself or product. Slow down and you'll get a better job without getting frustrated. This 465 does all the work, lays out sweet like the 4-1 496 w/79. Dries quick high gloss n you don't have to rush yourself. Good job tho 👍
Best video I've seen explaining an ignition timing table. Question: is it possible to view the stock ECU tune on a vehicle with an ECU that can't be adjusted at all? I have a 2000 4Runner and I've heard they can't be modified at all, but I am curious to know what the tables might look like.

I didn’t know about this company so I bought a auto ecu and cut out the circuit board. I then soldered wires to the pins I needed. I think I may want to redo it so its nicer

Hey, just a warning. The Volvo redblock community had a performance shop that was retrofitting VW Type 1 valves into heads for a while and they ALL failed. It turns out they had to grind the stems back past the hardening to get all the clearancing correct. Not sure what work they had to do with yours but you might want to watch your clearances. Love the build man.

This off topic, what kind of gas mileage do you? I just installed a ms3pro in my 325i. I’m getting around 15mpg. I am still learning how to program it.
If I’m just cruising on the highway I can get 25mpg but on boost it’s probably 15-17
