- (The price of the repair is in the video please watch first) Its back and this is the before and after of my Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 repair. Its a caption video sorry about that but i left out sometimes i wanted to mention. The new leather will change soon so im not worried about the different colors... sorry for the video being choppy but its not possible to reshoot so im stuck with this footage of before.......update video in 6-8 weeks on the patina coming i will show you not to fear it will all blend.

I don't have a problem with the cost of repairs at Louis Vuitton. Now I have had 2 of my bags repaired much more recently than this bag, maybe 2016. I purchased my speedy 35 pre-loved. Over time I needed to have 2 of the handles repaired as well as the pull tab. I took it to Louis Vuitton Soho in Manhattan and they did an amazing job on my bags (but let me just talk about the speedy right now). I did not ask them to repair the piping at that time as I thought it would be very expensive. Well when I picked up my bag they did what I asked as well as completely redoing all of the piping. Let me explain. If you take your bag in for a piping issue, they take the whole bag apart and redo the whole thing again! There is no other why to re do the piping. So I don't even consider that a repair, that is a re-construction! I was so surprised and happy I can't tell you! To this day the bag looks perfect! Yes repairs are expensive, but I will be passing this LV on to my niece at some point in the future so it will have a third life. I love all of my bags (from many designers), but my LV are the best ones in my opinion.
Thank you for posting this~! My bag was flagged as a fake when I listed it for sale because the piping did this~! It's NOT a fake. It came with a shoulder strap and I used that to carry it all the time, so the patina never came out in the handles on the bag. Also, it's pretty old and made when they lined them with ultra soft lambskin. I decided not to sell it, but still really upset at the accusation (Mercari).

No way...your talking is of great help!! Love your videos :) Yup, I saw your Bloomsbury GM review - the PM is a little bit smaller than that w/ a snap closure for the front pocket. Also, the PM is way roomier than the Eva. Only thing is - I tend to over stuff my bags and my poor shoulders suffer through the day. Trying to spend my money wisely this time on a regular use LV piece. Good thing is that you have both in Damier style :) Keep making awesome videos!!! Thank you so much for writing back!
Thank you for posting this video. I called coorporate to see if they would repair my speedy which is only 9 months old, but the glaze of the handles was coming off and the piping was not uniform. I am getting it repair at no cost, because it was a quality issue. You motivated me to contact corporate. Thank you
They have a llifetime grantee - if you bought it at LV they will repair it for free for life.
Cheeky & Lippy Street for free?? For what reasons would be cause for the repairs, do you have any ideas? Like if I have a bag that's 11 yrs old that's got exposed pipping are you saying they will repair for free as I purchased directly from LV?
Bring it in - sometimes they do and sometimes you have to show a receipt or be in the computer. They may still have record of it.

thanks.im very happy with my decision to do the repairs . its been 6 weeks and the new vachetta is blending quite nicely after treating it regeularly with leather conditioner. but all leather on LV bags can be replace just never the canvas. thank you for watching my little choppy video

oh welcome to LV you will love the many benefits LV has in case something goes wrong. yes i bought the piece with the intent to fix the piping as i already new the price for the repair. LV can fix almost anything so long as the canvas isnt damaged. i rarely show the price as many will call it tacky but it was easier to show instead of explaining . the more fancier the leather stitching the more money it will cost to replace.
Did you get the lock back ? And a replacement key??
Does anyone know if the actual canvas/leather of the bag can be repaired if there are tears in it??

This is something i will show in my update video in 6-8 weeks. i have taken a risk showing my bag with 2 different patinas but i have been condition or will continue to condition every 2-3 days along with direct sunshine outside with just the ends showing. this is a easy safe bag to patina. i will do a update video. thanks for watching

Wow $70 for each tab on the makeup bag, think I would have passed too. Love the repair on you other items though. They did such a great job-good to know if I ever need something repaired. Keeping my fingers crossed that I won't need the service any time soon

Because I no longer have the receipt for mine so I was wondering if they'll be open to repairing it anyway even without the receipt. Hope you can reply! Thanks!
Thanks for watching, a receipt isn't needed for repairs.... There is a cost for repairs , the receipt or proof of purchase is only needed if you want normal wear and tear repairs under warranty but its only valid if the item is less than 1 year old. Hope this hel[s
thanks, im very pleased with the repair . i know that certain bags are easier and cheaper to repair than others. i should of added not to buy a beat up preloved bag with the intentions of reapairing it without first investigating the repair prices speedys are easy though.

No problem i had to laugh at the first part of your sentence "THANKS SO MUCH FOR A SPEEDY RESPONSE". But to answer your question I take my items in personally to the LV store to discuss options and for pricing as far as i know its the only way besides mailing it in to get repairs. It doesnt matter where you purchased your LV as long as its authentic and no canvas damage they will repair it. If you had purchased it in a store within a year all the reasonable repairs will be free with receipt .

Personal opinion. It's best to replace it all evenly so it patinas evenly. Looks better :)

Hello I wanted to know if you buy a bag on ebay can you ship and get it repaired because I don't live close to a store that sells them
I had this same question when I moved away from my local LV store. For some reason they don't even like giving you a quote on a repair unless you bring the item in. I suppose you could call the closest store to you, send the item to that location with tracking and signature of course, and get it repaired that way!

The zipper pull was free. The price change yearly but I did mention at the time how much I paid in the video. As of now I don't recall at the top of my mind. Sorry . It's towards the end!

Yes i was a bit nervous as when you put a item in for service they just give you a estimate so the final charge may be higher . i chose a nice choice to revive this bag. more history added to the bag

Sorry I have no ideal the price ! LV has multiple price increases a year! They only way to know the exact amount is to take it in and have them look at it! Good luck on your repairs .

I had all the vachetta replaced on my monogram speedy 30 at lv. Everything but the monogram leather. took 3 weeks and cost me 545.00 it looks and feels like new money.

hi :) i was wondering if you can make an update video? if the patina now blends? I want to get mine repaired but i'm scared that the patina won't be the same :(
ill try i gave the bag to my best friend but im sure she will be willing to lend it to me ..... The patina started to blend in the first two weeks and me also speeding it up with leather conditioner to help for a long term even patina.... And virgin patina will always be white. so if the rest of the leather not being replaced it extremely patina you may want to think twice for the most optimal results. good luck with your choice

When you take the bags in for repair, they only want the bag. No key or dust bag. When they returning, they always place item in new dust bag and shopping bag. Which is so wonderful.
