How'd this wallet age?

I don't have a problem with the cost of repairs at Louis Vuitton. Now I have had 2 of my bags repaired much more recently than this bag, maybe 2016. I purchased my speedy 35 pre-loved. Over time I needed to have 2 of the handles repaired as well as the pull tab. I took it to Louis Vuitton Soho in Manhattan and they did an amazing job on my bags (but let me just talk about the speedy right now). I did not ask them to repair the piping at that time as I thought it would be very expensive. Well when I picked up my bag they did what I asked as well as completely redoing all of the piping. Let me explain. If you take your bag in for a piping issue, they take the whole bag apart and redo the whole thing again! There is no other why to re do the piping. So I don't even consider that a repair, that is a re-construction! I was so surprised and happy I can't tell you! To this day the bag looks perfect! Yes repairs are expensive, but I will be passing this LV on to my niece at some point in the future so it will have a third life. I love all of my bags (from many designers), but my LV are the best ones in my opinion.

Can a strap be easily added to turn it into a crossbody?

I love my zippy coin purse in Vernis, it's the same colour as yours. I have the Sarah in vernis, the zippy wallet in epi, the porte tresor international wallet in monogram mat, the six and four ring key holder in monogram mat and the agenda in monogram mat. I would love another zippy coin purse and the zippy compact wallet and a cles in damier ebene and then I think I'm done with slg's or at least I hope so.

Sometimes they have the mandatory check your bag cuz the overhead bins will be full, I hate that so I got the 45 which fits under the seat! :)

Thank you for posting this~! My bag was flagged as a fake when I listed it for sale because the piping did this~! It's NOT a fake. It came with a shoulder strap and I used that to carry it all the time, so the patina never came out in the handles on the bag. Also, it's pretty old and made when they lined them with ultra soft lambskin. I decided not to sell it, but still really upset at the accusation (Mercari).
