    on the KJ85 hand, I'm not sure how much I love the pot size bet on the flop. You're only good on the bottom (just 5s with no redraw up top) and are vulnerable to the board pairing and somebody with the nut flush. I think I would have bet less (may be 50) for pot control and to save me some money if the board pairs immediately on the bottom (which is what happened).
    Same with the AA66 hand. You're betting pot with a flush draw on one board (that already has one less heart out from the bottom board) and 2 runner runner flush draws on the bottom board (one which is practically dead). The turn giving you a set and a flush draw was one of your only good runouts. Almost everything else leads to you only drawing to/ahead for half or missing entirely.
    You're reasoning for pushing with 9885 I also think was a little off. The reason to push (if you're going to) is that you're practically blocking all the 8s up top and you have 2 pair on that one so anybody likely to call has 34 (where you have outs to scoop with a paired board) and little up top (where you have 2 pair). Basically what I'm saying is only 3478 has you crushed and you have 3 of the 8s between the board and your hand. Those 2 8s in your hand are more important to the top hand than your verbal thought process talked about.

      Excellent feedback, I definitely agree with it all. The KJ85 pot sized bet and AA66 were both a bit adventurous. I’m still learning how to properly play double board bomb pots.
      The 9885 hand was strong enough on both boards with the blockers as you mentioned that it was a pretty straight forward shove on the turn.
      Thanks for the feedback Andrew, how have you been doing lately?

    Are all your sessions on avg 4hrs? Here in Maryland, we play 5card PLO and one of my issues is sessions being too long. I don't get to play often so try to get it in. What's your suggestion for length of sessions?

    • @DonkFishPoker
      @DonkFishPoker  2 роки тому +1

      They were at the beginning of the vlog but I probably average closer to 6 hours.
      I believe in quality over quantity, that not only applies to how many sessions but the hours within the session so I’m saying it depends on you. If you believe you can play 8-10 hour sessions playing your A or B+ game than go for it but I believe it’s best to start with shorter sessions and slowly work your way up as you are more comfortable and able to play your best for longer periods of time.
      Hope that helped James. Good luck at the tables man 🍻

    Do you think you can have a decent winrate in only bomb pots game? I doubt about it but i want your opinion

    • @DonkFishPoker
      @DonkFishPoker  2 роки тому

      I think you can but it’s probably much more difficult to be a consistent winner for many reasons but mainly because bomb pots have much higher variance than regular plo does.

    I like those games. They play them alot at TCH Dallas. On the next to last hand when the guy asks about checking it down, I'm always a friendly guy and its just my opinion but I've always hated being asked that especially if the action it's a bet that's yet to be called. It's like giving away free info and almost forces you to say yes if you don't want to give away info in thr hand. That's why I like playing at casinos where they don't allow the check down question by rule and don't allow running it twice until it's heads up all in

    • @DonkFishPoker
      @DonkFishPoker  2 роки тому +1

      They’re very fun.
      I agree with you. It’s not something that happens often and I wouldn’t ever do it unless it was heads up. I’ve also played with this particular player a bunch so I agreed.
      This game is a semi private game so they allow the players to have more say than they normally would.

    Curious why the guy asked to check the river if he called. He was full on the bottom..maybe afraid you had JJ ? If you said no, what would he have done? Image does matter and it is good to keep folks generally happy while they lose.

    • @carlsullivan8861
      @carlsullivan8861 2 роки тому +1

      he probably folds if he says no. if 'donkpoker' has JJ, he's losing the one board he had interest in; he has nothing on the top board.

    Am I crazy?
    Did you really fold the nuts with the nut redraw in a 4-WAY!!! pot? You could know you're chopping just one of the two hands & still have it be profitable.

    Maybe the HCL cheating scandal is getting to me, but isn’t collusion a serious concern in a game like this. Signal between two or more players for card removal, calling to “pull” you into a call by giving you a better price and then reimbursing the money, minraise me to reopen the action, etc.. just one right spot for this to occur could cost a decent amount of money.

    • @DonkFishPoker
      @DonkFishPoker  2 роки тому

      It could be but it’s a very friendly game with most of the players knowing each other so don’t really have to worry about that. You make great points though.
