- I leave for my month-long trip to South East Asia tomorrow week, so here's how I'm packing my carry-on bag for my 15-HOUR flight journey! 💛🌏🌴🌊
(Disclaimer: My posting schedule is 1 week behind when things were actually done, so technically, when you see this - I'm already abroad! 💛 I'm doing this for my own safety, to ensure that I'm not sharing my location when I'm still i one place.) - Навчання та стиль

The small containers didn't show on your Amazon
What model is your camera?
Yes! Where can I buy the small containers in your shorts?
@@noriasay622 did a quick google search, and from what I’ve found it looks like they’re from Cadence (you can search Cadence magnetic capsules). They’re expensive though - the current discounted price for 6 is $76 (USD).
@@mariang9877 (copying and pasting this from another comment I made) did a quick google search, and from what I’ve found it looks like they’re from Cadence (you can search Cadence magnetic capsules). They’re expensive though - the current discounted price for 6 is $76 (USD).
Yessss, packing a change of clothes just in case is a MUST for me! Not a lot of people do this and I'm always like wait whattt you forgot something.
Brilliant, yet it’s never once occurred to me 🫣 Seems so obvious now!
Once you miss a connecting flight and have to stay at a hotel in the airport with no change if clothes or toothbrush... you won't ever forget again 😅
Before my first flight at the age of 17, someone suggested I do this and being the anxious person I am, I packed some clothes just in case. Lo and behold, I missed my connecting flight and had to spend the night in a hotel. I'd never fly anywhere without a spare change of clothes in my hand luggage.
Yes, 100% on a change of clothes!!
I could never not do this. Even if its not the worst case scenario and you lose your luggage, you could still have a possible emergency lay over or something and want to change at some-point in that period. It maybe something as simple as spilling something on what ever your wearing you just never know when you are travelling. When youre away from daily necessities a change of clothes is always a good idea.
The fjallraven padded straps you can buy as an extra are super comfy!
Ooo that’s super smart!
i was going to say - all my fjallravens have the padded straps. really helps stop the digging into the shoulders. they also come in lots of colors
As much as that bag costs it should come with padded straps.
@@carochan86 right?
Y’all getting robbed, that speaks volumes on the company if they’re aware the straps aren’t comfortable they choose to further profit off their patrons
It's actually a suitable choice for South East Asia because the lightweight bag is suitable for our humid climate. You don't want a thick bulky bag sticking to your sweaty skin.
Ya white Color on south east Asia lol
@@ShweMyaukMyauk ?
@@unknowns78 I think they meant that the color is going to get ruined.
My favorite bags of all time are Tom Bihn, made in the US, they’re pricier but their ecosystem is phenomenal. Their bags LAST. My son has been using one of their backpacks since Kindergarten and he’s now 16. And if they do rip, they repair their bags! I had one bag repaired and it’s still going strong.
That sounds amazing.
I’ve been looking for a replacement backpack so that’s perfect!
Another brand I recommend is LL Bean. I used that backpack from 6th grade all the way through grad school and it has even gone abroad a few times. It’s super durable!
I just looked it up and it’s $330 😭
I don't know which southeast asia country you'll visit but as someone from indonesia i feel like you should pack your sunscreen unless you're planning to buy sunscreen in the city you're visiting. Hope you have a good trip!
Yeah as an Indonesian native I always wear sunscreen all over so I don’t think a small container is even enough. But sunscreens aren’t expensive anyway so she should buy a bottle
you can't take a lot of volume of liquids in your carry on.
I always take a tiny bit with me and go buy sunscreen like next thing the first day.
I don't understand why those backpacks are popular. She just said it's not comfortable and when she opened it, it was a big empty backpack with no inner organization slots or pockets.
I know right! My ride or die is hype at the moment. The have the front pocket same as the one she has but they have a padded back plate and straps which makes for a comfortable carry. They are relatively waterproof and pretty colours. I use mine every day and fill with all sort of shizz it gets dragged about used and abused and it’ll take 6-9 months of hardcore wear. And if you more of a camper decathlon stores (uk and Europe) and some really good camping extra pockety ones.
It doesn’t even have any lining and you need to BUY padded straps if you want to be comfortable 😂
The site sells a separate organizer that can be strapped on the inner pocket. I think it should be included with every kanken, hell make it part of the bag!
In any case, is not impossible to replicate with some hard plastic covered in fabric, I made a similar one with two zipper pockets, and it can be used on other bags so that's a win for me
“roomy” lol
Because... Instagram 😂 People will do everything to follow trends or influencers, even buy overpriced shitty backpacks. Yeah I know it sounds arrogant but come on.
FYI- You shouldn’t decant sunscreen into other bottles. The ones they come in are designed to stabilize the sunscreen and putting it in other containers can render it ineffective or even destroy the container.
oh ok but how do I take it on holiday if the original bottle is over 100ml
@@CatFoxa You can also seal your original size well and put it in your checked bag. Most sunscreen brands offer travel sizes also.
I don't decant any skincare products either. All that packaging was researched and decided on for a reason. When you spend a lot of your hard-earned money on good and sometimes expensive products, don't let it go to waste.
idk if anyone mentioned this yet, but it might not seem as comfy at first as other bags, but the kanken was designed in the 60s specifically to help schoolchildren’s backs! i’ve had mine for years and it’s the best.
Please be careful when traveling with pills outside of their original packaging!
Yes, it can be important to make sure pills are in their original packaging, and if it's a prescription drug, it's a good idea to have a copy of the script also so you can prove that you need it to stay with you! The birth control blister pack *should* be OK, but if it's prescribed, it's good to be able to tell authorities that you *have* to take it every day, and here is where my doctor said so, just in case.
Most prescriptions come with stickers that have the prescription info on them. You can put the sticker on any container to make it legal.
@@Meskarune not necessarily. better to just take original packaging
Better to just not take birth control. It wreaks havoc on the female body. ❤
@KaeDays so does pregnancy 🤷♀️
I've found sometimes (often actually) the fanny pack counts as a second backpack, so I have to make it disappear before boarding.
Yes!! I know! But it also depends on who you're travelling with☺️
@@macerly here in France it goes by weight limit and size and 2 items only ( you have 3), maximum 8 kg for the carry on and second bag and carry on together total weight maximum 12 kg.
You can squeeze it inside your backpack, that’s the trick. That’s why bring only a fanny pack that can fit only your phone, wallet, and passport. Having a bigger one will only tempt you to stuff more things in, which will defeat the purpose of why had to separate these things in the first place. I’m a paranoid traveller, so in my fanny only these 3 things belong there and it shall never ever be disconnected from my body.
@@kazzuhiko123 Yeah, definitely smart. I carry a large one so I have to make sure to leave enough room in my backpack to fit the Fanny if needed.
Those magnetic travel containers are genius! Other than that, those are products and things that I pack in my carry on as well. 💗
Wait I’m sorry if this sounds stupid but I thought you couldn’t take liquids like that on flights? How is this possible can someone explain?
I have them and I like them but they are quite heavy
Lush Cosmetics has great black leak proof sample pots. Maybe you can snag some from them in-store?
@@idioticbagel2833 you can only have bottles below a certain volume of liquid. Those little containers are probably designed for travelling overseas and when completely filled wouldn’t go over the limit.
@@LaurenPebble my small pots all got dumped by security because they didn't know what was in their and they didn't believe me when I told them😡
exciting!!!! i love how organized u are 😅
Cant wait to see your vlogs! Hope you have a great time in our country, Philippines! :)
I would have choose an osprey one. I love osprey brand . They are designed very smart and comfortable as well.
Yes they are the absolute best!
Can’t wait for the vlogs!!
Super cute!! Love your different but smart ideas for the carry on, definitely gonna lend some of these in future!
Please can you link where you got your travel pots, packing cubes, water bottle and pouches etc? I need most of these for travel but haven’t seen any as nice as these!
Not sure if they are but I’m pretty sure they are the Cadence capsules here’s the link keepyourcadence :)
@@Hairydryer_Hairdryerxoxothey are but dang they are expensive. 14 euro's for a single one and 6 for 76 euro's.
Yes!! Travel pots from Cadence, water bottle from LARQ and the pouches are from Away, same brand as the suitcases'💕
I promise you they are not worth the price point for 12 of them you are paying like $170 and they leak like crazy take it from someone who made the purchase
With travel containers it is more important for them to be leak proof then to look nice! So it is better to go with simple plastics bottles from shops like Flying Tiger or Rossmann (not sure if they are in your country. I know they are in some European ones)
FYI I've watched a bunch of cosmetic chemists like Javon or LabMuffin talk about how when you remove sunscreen from it's original packaging it can start to degrade faster and it's SPF will not be as effective as advertised. they're really only meant to be used from their specific packaging which preserves it until it's ready to use.
Bro do you go to latimer school, part of the Moreland school district?
I decanted my sunscreen so I could share it with my sister. I gave her the original bottle and kept the smaller plastic bottle. It seemed to work fine. They suggest you throw it out the next year anyway. I don’t but it still seemed to work.
Wow, very smart travel packing! I love this kind of content! You are also gorgeous btw! Have a safe trip! ✈️
Definitely add in a change of clothes. I don't know how many times my luggage or my family's has gotten lost or put on a different flight because mine was overloaded, but that change of clothes is a life saver
She literally has that in the video, lol
Omg does that actually happen? I've never had any problems so could never tell whether it was a common issue worth worrying about or not...
@theranman0000 my comment was mainly for other people who don't. I used to not and then my luggage got put on a flight that didn't arrive until the next day. I learned my lesson the hard way so I try to tell everyone I know so that they don't.
I love to travel, choosing the outfits for each day with the appropriate jewelry, shoes and even wigs is all part of the fun.🛩️
Decathlon has some amazing backpacks. I got mine for 20€ and it is spacious. Also compartments inside. The kanken looks very used after a short time. The material is flimsy and will crease and look old even when it's fairly new.
I pack everything in ziplock bags…just in case something leaks. Also, they’re easier to see when laying things down in the inspection. One bag for toiletries, one for chargers, powerbank, and cords, one bigger bag for extra clothes, one for meds, and one for snacks- never forget. All the other important things like passport and stuff on my fanny pack too lol one simple but very helpful tip: have a print out of your ticket with email/phone number inside each check-in luggage and carry-on bags so when lost, anyone who picks them can easily find or contact you. You’re welcome ☺️
Yikes, partially it helps someone to contact you but two, it’s also giving away personal to private information that identifies you digitally if anyone was into IT. Not everyone’s good but at least it’s on the inside of your luggage I’d say(?) Even a recognizable airport ticket information seal on the handle + a personalized plush or colored bag being wrapped on the handle is sufficient for its owner of the luggage to help track it!
@@StephanieRZ I did say put them on the inside lol
@@kazzuhiko123 😂🙏🏼 Honestly no worries lol I feel I had recently watched some IT related video about how even certain public charging ports could transfer out someone’s data (like a bugging) 😨😂 And in a way, I was just looking out for you too when I saw this! Haha no worries though. Do what’s best for you but it’s always good to be mindful with airports!
i have one and i use it for everything! school, work, travel, you name it. they’re so cute and functional, i don’t regret getting it at all.
I strive to be this organized and prepared
Smart, efficient and easy to maneuver. Solid packing!
I thought containers with liquids etc need to be clear when travelling?
TSA rules aren't standard across all countries, I think?
@@oopsallbugs I suppose 😂
The containers don't have to be clear, the 1 liter pouch you store them in has to be though. TSA rules are the same all over the world, it's just that lots of people don't know them or try to get away with not following them because controllers are usually not that strict
@@jawbreaker8125 ah yes, that's what I was remembering! It's been a long while since I've travelled 😁 Thank you
@@jawbreaker8125 and some airports can randomly change their policy... I had to throw away some of my cosmetics because my clear bag wasn't the shape they wanted/probably was slightly bigger then 1000ml, even though cosmetics inside was less then 1000ml (of course with every one of them smaller then 100ml). I was traveling with same clear bag for few years and suddenly I couldn't xD
Security gave me their bag that was long and narrow - so didn't fit all of my cosmetics 😢
i live in a place where i have to think about time zones often (because mine is never included so i have to make my own conversions, lol) but i always forget how different travel times are. southeast asia is one of the shortest distances for me, but i have had to do two 14-hour flights back to back for another place.
The most satisfying carry on packing ever for some reason😂❤️
NO WAY i love this!!!!!!
Love those magnetic organisers. Perfect for saving space. Must look into them. 😊
I'm so jealous of your trip. Have fun.
Fjällräven makes really good bags! They really LAST! My mum has had her's for at least ten years, it's still going strong!
Nice! Where is the Fanny pack from?
Lululemon

Where did you find them???
@@halliehoffman595 Cadence
also thank you so much for listing all your things!!!

I love a girl that always ready❤️
for everyone seeing this: There are actually shoulderpads you can buy to secure on the straps and make it more comfortable
I don’t know about where you live, but in the U.S. we use the actual carryon luggage as our carryons along with backpacks and purses. Plus using the small carryons can be a lot cheaper to use because you don’t have to check a large bag if you put everything into your carryon, depending on what you are packing of course.
wanted to let you know, magnets can REALLY mess up your laptop. how do I know? I ruined my expensive, new macbook with them.
in february i went from seattle to bangkok. 15 hours to incheon (korea). had a two hour layover. 5 hours to bangkok.
then coming back
two hour flight to chiang rai. stayed for about 2 days. another 3 hour flight to incheon. 12 hour layover. 15 hour flight back to seattle, then i was home.
I didn’t see the pill organizer on the link. Would u please share?? Sooo practical & cool
I highly recommend the cabin zero backpacks.
You should also get a travel pouch to keep your chargers/cord’s organized
And I thought I was an efficient traveler/packer. This is amazing.
God tur❤️❤️ har sett på vidoene dine i flere år, husker når du drev med DYI hjemme i Norge❤️
Omg nice! As a Malaysian, today I had a flight to Singapore my friendly neighbour and it was fun here even though I already lived in south east Asia, do you mind telling me where you are travelling to?? :)
As a swede that pronounciation of fjällräven was actually quite good
Hahahah I’m Norwegian with Swedish family so if I didn’t pronounce it right I think they would all come for me 😅

Beautiful color kanken

Wiiii !!
At least when flying from Europe, those containers would all need to go into a 1L plastic bag and state that they fit only 100ml each. Good luck at airport security..

FINALLY SOMEONE THAT PRONOUNCES THE NAME RIGHT
I assume you don't need to deal with TSA ... Because those cubes don't meet their guidelines
Why not?
Yes, they do.
@@kelseybritton986 TSA requires toiletries in clear plastic bags. For the most part, I think this last summer one of my flights from London Gatwick they told us to keep toiletries in our bags because of new scanners. I think it was London anyhow...could have also been Taiwan.
Erm Malaysia does impose this clear bag for liquid and powder TSA regulations too.
@@lilgrannyari I have flown to Mexico 4 times from USA and back and they don’t give a shit honestly in my experience. I never follow the ziplock policy when going there. I have thrown in multiple mini liquor bottles in my bag to drink on flight, a big 8 oz lotion bottle, weed vape, a 3.4 oz glass perfume bottle, randomly throw in all my liquids in my bag, ziplock takes up to much space imo. I just make sure to unscrew cap and put a piece of plastic bag between cap for no leakage. Depends on how lucky you are tho and if tsa is being lazy that day.
Off topic but you're really pretty I hope you enjoy your travels 💓
I did not know you were Norwegian a fun suprise! Hello fellow Norwegian!
Oh my goodness I hope you’ll have fun in the Philippines. If you’ll visit Cebu, Philippines hope I run into you or something😅 but really I hope you enjoy and have a safe trip!
I didn’t know you were Norwegian! Because you did live in England? It’s always so fun to see some of my favourite creators be polish or Norwegian like me
Remember sunscreen can go bad outside its original
Hopefully she’s going to clean it out between trips, and it wouldn’t go bad just during one quick trip
i wouldn’t recommend moving skincare products into different containers, it can cause them to go off quicker or separate weirdly
I do this for travel but then I use the rest of the product in the travel container when I get back home before I go back to the main pot. Otherwise it would go off before I travelled again (sadly don’t travel enough atm!) and then I just wash the travel container once it’s empty and go back to using the main pot/bottle of product. Also good to try to estimate how much you’ll need then just put a tiny bit extra in rather than take too much for the same reason!
FANNNY PACCCCKKK 😍😍😍
Don't you love when tsa says 3 bags and your trying to shove the other in one of the other bags
I’d be paranoid of putting magnet near pcs 😂
That backpack is ROOMY, like damn.
My mom has the same nap pack and Lululemon purse thing 👏🏻
Random question; i love ur blue tracksuit pants, where did you get them? Have fun on your trip ☺️
They're both the hoodie and pants are from Pangaia💙
Where did you buy the magnetic mini containers?
I have that same ipad case!
I can see plenty of people have mentioned it, but this is so important! American TSA will NOT accept those magnetic containers, you might loose them. For many items, though expensive, it's much better to buy it in the country traveling to. Prescriptions must be clearly identified as yours and even then might be better to contact a pharmacy in your destination.
Could you please let us know where you purchased the laptop sleeve? It's beautiful!
Those magnetic bottle things! So handy!
Where r they from?
They’re like $60 for no reason
way too small; the limit's 100ml

Your toiletry bag wasn’t clear did that cause you any problems?
Cover your shoulders in south east Asia, and if you ride on a rickshaw hold your bag in front of you or put it under your legs. If you were is over your shoulders and someone tries to grab it, you will be pulled off the rickshaw with it too.
where are those little travel size containers from? i love them

Great idea to take a change of clothes. I normally do this, and the one time I decided not to, I needed it. ;o;
You don't have a transparent TSA bag?
And I agree with the comment about bringing pills without the packaging. Some countries are very particular about certain kinds of meds being brought in.
Since I’m Scottish I can’t call those things fanny packs without getting dirty looks so I call them bum bags
Same in Australia

Ingat…🤎🤎🤎🥰
Who the heck doesn't pack a change of clothes in their carry-on??? As someone who goes on long-haul flights occasionally, I always have a vacuum-packed ziplock of clothes at the bottom of my backpack in case my suitcase gets delayed. Only time I can think of that I didn't do this was when we actually packed entirely in carry-ons because there were so many suitcases getting sent to the wrong place, so we didn't have to worry about having a spare set.
I dont but then again I don't travel where's there's a connecting flight.
