Thank you for all your views and comments! I have had a few comments pointing out that you CAN buy columns in game, which is true now! At the time I made the video, it wasn't possible. Other tips may also be outdated now since the video is nearly a year old and the game has been updated since! I've also been asked if I will start uploading again at some point. Some more tips of my own, to add to yours: Flipper tool: Duplicate function is useful for things like bedside cabinets and dining chairs; Copy Style can copy wood finishes, colours and even handle orientation from one piece of furniture to another. It's especially time-saving when replacing a kitchen. Clicking and holding while pointing at a wall or floor finish in Copy Style mode will take you to that item's store page, with all the same options already selected. Edit Style mode can be used to edit items After buying them, which is very convenient, or even change a damaged surface to an undamaged one. Carpets: You can wallpaper the floor, which will look very similar to a wall-to-wall carpet. You can also hang rugs on the wall instead of paintings. Painting: It is often faster to use WASD to control the roller, especially with a wide roller perk.
Some updated tips in August 2024 : Tip 9 : You have both curtains, blinds and carpets now. Tip 24 : You can buy those columns now. All the rest is still totally relevant, really good list.
The game felt a litte unfinished at release, but I love that they are continuously workíng on more features and items and releasing them in free updates! I also love their suggestion box forum, and that they show which suggestions they are working on.
I deleted the tires around the old house boat thinking I could replace them but found that you can't put them in the ground like they originally were. I was a little miffed.
The order to do things: 1: All Demolishing. This saves time on stains and walking around. 2: All Selling of things. This makes you money. But don't sell panels or paint! 3: Bin all Trash. This makes more money. 4: Scrubbing the floor. This clears out the area in case there's anything you missed. 5: Vacuuming - it's easier to spot what's to vacuum after the floor is clean. 6: Now the house is clean, it's time to build walls. Place any new doors and windows that need putting in straight away. 7: Painting and wallpaper. You'll save time and paint because you've already placed doors and windows. Sometimes customers have already bought their own paint or panels, so check that they haven't changed their minds and save yourself money. 8: Replacing floors - walls and floors are interchangable. 9: NOW buy any new furniture and place it. Buy the biggest items like beds and cabinets first. Buy medium items like plant pots and casual decor second. Buy the plants last. 10: Now unpack any boxes - the contents can usually be arranged on new furniture. 11: FINALLY, it is time to sell any leftover paint or panelling.

How do I switch homes? Not like move the office but how do I actually go there? I bought 2 homes but can’t travel to them. No options pop up in my menu
The curtains & one blind (resizable) are in the windows menu, right at the bottom. I think most expect them to be in decoration or accessories. Not sure why they decided to put them in the windows menu, because that is under the building tab. Also, with columns, you have to place them on the ground, then use the upgraded flipper tool to edit it: click to edit, then use the "change size". You can resize and move the colum into place as much as necessary. Once you have one placed with the right height, you can then duplicate it, if the other points need the same height. Oh, also, an additional tip: I find it useful to place a light switch and then duplicate it around the property to all the rooms as needed _before_ connecting the wiring, if you duplicate it after wiring it you also duplicate the connections. If you do dupicate the wiring, don't worry, it is easily put: in wiring, point as the item you wepant to disconnect (switch or light) then hit "r" on the keyboard and it will remove all the connections to that item. I am not 100% sure, but I think the copy & paste to copy around the colours on the switches/lights will also copy the connections.

You can buy columns and adjust the size afterwards with the flipper tool. You can adjust the size of just about everything in the store including the all famed stove hood.
FOV should be set to 50…. Unfortunately. It only goes to 60. Any higher than that and it looks like you’re looking down a thin tunnel. If you don’t know what to do Pay attention to the job description. You CAN buy columns.
Decided to buy the project build in the woods, I’ve just added a 3rd floor and I’m beginning to regret my decision I’ve got loads to do lol back to edit just put a 4th floor in for master bedroom and rooftop patios so yea more to do
I painted a bedroom in the asexual flag colors in one of the houses I bought and was able to match the furniture to it. I'm liking HF2 a lot more than the first one, but I still love the first game.

Being able to use your OWN PICTURES is a game changer for me. I put band pictures EVERYWHERE 😂

You can actually use ctrl z to undo stuff, I deleted too much of a wall andpressed that and it came back.
