This is the first video in a new series on Fallout 2, though I'm making it slightly out of order because of which parts of the script are complete lol I plan to make parts 1 and 2 later in the year. I'm trying to find more ways to make my channel more financially viable since my content is so niche, but it's also something I'd like to do indefinitely. If you join my Patreon, you'll get access to every future video I post one day early! I'll also start including polls periodically when you can vote on what I make next or suggest video ideas. Thank you for all the support. I couldn't do this without all of you 🖤 www.patreon.com/TriangleCity
Almost 70,000 subscribers and you're struggling? UA-cam really needs to pay more. I couldn't dream of having that many subscribers. Hope you get all the success bro. Great video!
Your older videos have some lesser known knowledge in them but they're a bit hard to enjoy due to the low quality and because you've improved a lot since you started. I suggest remaking them altogether with better audio, clearer narration, and with a more concise way of delivering information, along with including new updated information. I also suggest using the chapters feature and making a better curated playlist for your videos, since there are people who like to watch things in order and it helps keep people continue to watch your stuff instead of being bounced off somewhere else. Your videos are a treasure trove with things people would've never otherwise have heard of. I've seen other fallout videos with information that I have no doubt came from you and they don't even bother mentioning you. It would be a shame if you didn't make use of all the knowledge that you've gathered to benefit yourself.
One early ad mentioned 30 companions, while the base game has only 14. Even with temporary companions there's still a lot missing, but I didn't include that info because it was kinda tenuous at best lol
I like how you always seem to understand why certain features weren't added (or throw out ideas about why it wasn't). I often find it annoying when people talk about cut content and act like it defintely should have been added, when there is often a good reason it wasn't (often time related).
Yeah, speaking personally, Half-Life's fandom tends to worship the "beta" period as they call it of HL2's development, and while I do kinda appreciate the vibe of the older take on City 17 I feel like they get way too wrapped up in high concepts and atmosphere to see why the final game is what it is.
I saw a community post from you a while back about how a family member/significant other was dealing with cancer IIRC, and I wanted to say that I hope they, and you, my favourite cut content content creator, are doing well and that your videos are fantastic!
The push npc function is such a graceful example of why deep consideration to every aspect of the player experience is so crucial. It seems like such a huge step back when later games didn't include it. Ah, and it would have been such a blessing for Morrowind players on console. Even though I'm playing it on pc, I still don't fancy going into the command prompt as it feels kinda wrong to me. If only it had become an rpg standard
Love the work on this video, genuinely inspiring. Also, going back to source material and direct quotes from Papa Cain and more really lends the video a legitimacy you don't often see. Great stuff man, I'm jealous!
12:08 This is so... uncannily meta? It's basically the same reason some* people value their pets more than any other human. _(and by some, I mean waaaaaay to many)_
"the rules also imply the vehicle is half the size of a tank, which doesn't seem right to me" Agreed, it's an american car, so it's gotta be at least the size of a tank. ty for the great videos btw
Always a big fan of learning about cut content. Fallout has some of the best stories for it too. I love this stuff, only thing I'm not super big on is the voice filter. It's bearble though.
Yeah its weird because I feel like they didn't achieve most of what they wanted, but they still made it a much more enjoyable gameplay experience than F1
Good to see you. FO76 footage eh? I don't regret playing 76 since I played from beta and quit after a few years so I lived the crazy early history. It was the wild west. I fired it up after the map expansion and just couldn't get into it.
15:08 It is present in the final, just nlt expanded upon. NPCs can teach you and only you some skills and perks but theres like 2 of them who does this.
When literally all documentation dries up: Hi guys in today's video i dug up graves of fallout designers and performed necromancy to ask them about cut content
I would just always be sure to blow up mariposa before recruiting dogmeat, that's really the only part of the game thats genuinely a challenge to get him through.
I always get him as early as possible and he dies constantly lol I usually don't even bother reloading. They literally designed the companions to die haha
As someone relatively new to the Fallout series, i am so glad i am discovering more of the original Fallouts, especially via videos like this and Oxhorn's playthroughs😊 Great world building, characterization, lore and ganeplay mechanics compared to Bethesda visually superior but otherwise lacking fallout iterations.
@TriangleCity same with me, friend. I discovered the franchise via Bethesda but fell out after Fallout 4 and started watching lore vids about the first two and New Vegas that got me back.
You should check out Tactics too. It's the most underrated game in the franchise imo. It was heavily influenced by Chris Taylor too, who was an important part of F1 🖤
You’re the best TriangleCity! Your videos are always so well put together, your voice over is so smooth and engaging, love the thumbnail art too! Hope 2025 is a great year for you!
To be honest the highwayman having half of the size of a tank.... well depends on the tank and car, the chevy its a bit smaller but that concept art from exodus looks like a Cadillac Deville, or a cadillac el dorado i guess... if you put side by side a Cadillac el dorado and for example a sherman or an M 41 walker bulldog (ironically made by cadillac) that car is as long as the M 41 but just a bit shorter than a sherman. Some cars of the 50s in north america are just Land yachts (and awesome also)
While I’m almost always interested in any of your Fallout/Skyrim cut content videos, how come you don’t go over more of Fallout 3’s or 4’s cut content? Is it just not as much stuff as compared to NV?
I've actually covered the majority of F3 at this point. I have a few unfinished scripts, but I've talked about most of it. I haven't done more F4 stuff because I don't know it as well as the other games. I actually know more about 76's unused stuff lol
12:30 I have nothing but immense respect for creative, envelope pushing developers of the mid-to-late 90s. And while I generally subscribe to the death of the author(game developers) philosophy, the people who made the game deserve to have their ideas heard. Perhaps even given a bit more weight in terms of 'legitimacy.' Finally, we should not judge single quotes without also examining the broader context Howrver, this statement seems strangely cold and 'no fun allowed-y'. To be fair though, they had probably been through plenty of frustration during development and it may have impacted their attitude at the time. Maybe he just had no way of realising how enduring the series would be!

Still struggling, but trying bro 🖤
The pariah dog was a really fun idea, I always wondered if they planned more wildcard oddballs like that during 2 and beyond

King Baldwin IV holding up hand: Silence, mother. TriangleCity just uploaded a Fallout 2 video.

The fact that an mod exists to bring the Highwayman back into NV amazes me
Watching this bc I love the sound of your voice it’s very calming and I like learning about fallout unused content
Thank you 🖤 I'm honestly always self confidence about my voice so that means a lot
Ayo the legend is back!
Edit: and by back I mean dropping more videos more often lok

Thank you 🖤 I try to be as objective and accurate as possible and I really appreciate when people notice 🖤🖤🖤
considering your life circumstances at the moment, it's impressive you still managed to get a video out
keep up the amazing work and stay strong, man
I'm trying. The stress of bills helps lol
Thanks for the new video man. I love seeing cut content from my favorite game
Is F2 your favorite? I think NV is still my fav
@@TriangleCitythere’s just something in f2 that just clicks
Best classic fallout channel on the tube

Wow, Triangle, great video. Keep it up!
Thank you so much 🖤🖤🖤
with jsawyer mod installed the highwayman in nv also has the the vault 13 canteen and weathered 10mm pistol in the trunk, badass

Great video keep it up :)
I consider that high praise, thank you so much 🖤🖤🖤
Always love seeing you upload Triangle. keep up the awesome work!
Thank you for the support bro 🖤
AMAZING VIDEO THANKS FOR DOING THIS
Thank you for watching
There is a mythological atmosphere to this game that only Fallout: BoS has been able to match

This is so... uncannily meta? It's basically the same reason some* people value their pets more than any other human.

That's good insight lol didn't even think of it that way

ty for the great videos btw

Glad to see you back ❤️🩹

Thanks for posting ❤
Thank you for watching! 🖤🖤🖤
Clicked so fast my brain shorted and I couldn't find the like button.

Lol the trunk walking around with you is funny. It would be convenient until it blocked you in.
Lights of hell were probably energy weapons not flamers
That's probably more accurate. Iirc laser pistols get called light bringers at one point
Return of the King, hope yourself and the missus are doing well
God! I love Suluk😊 Even just watching Oxhorn's playthrough of Fallout 2, he stood out as a huge favorite of mine
THE KING RETURNS
Thank you for watching 🖤🖤🖤
Less than a week ago, I said to myself "it's been a while. I should rewatch Triangle City's cut content videos." Damn, I picked a good time.

oh nice thanks my friend

Yeah I'm still figuring out my new mic settings lol
When Triangle City uploads a new vid, I drop everything and watch it. When Triangle City says "Jump!"...
Bring me pizza? 😂
@@TriangleCity Just not a Hawaiian. I would never commit such a crime.
Never lmao
Fo2 was still a nice quality of life improvement for most things over the first game

When literally all documentation dries up:
Hi guys in today's video i dug up graves of fallout designers and performed necromancy to ask them about cut content
Sometimes you gotta perform dark magic bro
I've never struggled with friendly fire in classic Fallout, but maybe that's because I actually try to position myself favorably in combat...
I've died a lot to my allies lol
When you watch the video blink, then its over. your like wait it's over , damm I'm sure I missed some details. I'd better rematch it another 3 times
Please do, I need the ad revenue lmao

I always get him as early as possible and he dies constantly lol I usually don't even bother reloading. They literally designed the companions to die haha
Granted the last time I played Fallout 1 was through Et Tu, but couldn't you just order the dog to wait for you somewhere safe?
