- This is a survival game that's like the early nomadic stage in 4X games. Check out the free demo and join The Ancients on Steam: lurk.ly/n3W_v3 Thanks to Camlann Games for sponsoring. Survival games have blown up in modern gaming but this actually gives me original old school survival game vibes if any of you remember those.

The Ancients is a turn-based survival strategy game where you lead a prehistoric hunter-gatherer tribe through the last ice age. Survive the elements, hunt fierce animals, migrate to new continents, advance your technology, make social and political tribe decisions, and evolve your civilization.

This is trying to be a whole game that focuses on what some people have been asking for in other 4X games, pre-history nomad survival. There's a free demo, you can try it: lurk.ly/n3W_v3 Thanks to Camlann Games for sponsoring.
Finally! A Croods game!!!
GamerZakh, "We can't really hunt a rhino right now."
My action point........ "Release the baby!!!!!!"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for play testing. i already played the demo and wishlisted the game
Not often do you see Zakh fail so many times while feeding his people.
Looks very promising, will definitely keep an eye on how this game develops - thanks for the video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Finally - a souped up version of Lost Tribe.
That's a beetroot not rhubarb though. Rhubarb is those sweet and sour red stalks with one big leaf. Do warm southern countries have rhubarb?
I know what rhubarb is, and I know that looks like a beet, but the tooltip says it's rhubarb.
@@GamerZakh Yep, I just hope the devs are listening. What a weird mistake to put in a game. All the rhubarb fans from cold countries like Finland will be up in arms.
The stuff is full of oxalates anyway, nothing here to be a fan of
ur spoiling us latly
Looks kinda like jon shafer's at the gates, what with all the setting up camp, packing up, eating resources on the map.
More competition against Civ 7..
2004 called, they want their UI and graphics back.
I kind of like the UI not being the same bland thing as everything else, though the font sucks.
I just played the demo. It’s hard, but boring.
You're doing that confusing game play again. it's a simple turn base game like many you've played many times before, so what's all the confusion about. Hard to watch for an hour with no real progress in the game. our game play was not very teachable at all.
Unless you specify what you mean by confusing game play and the confusion, no one really knows what you're talking about. You've never commented on my channel before, so I don't know what you're referring to about 'again' either.
You've played so many games like this over time, but sometimes you seem decisions making comes hard, which don't match up to previous game play you've done in the past. I learned from watching your game play, that you always gather all and as many resources you can, before moving forward, vthen move through they skill tree with the goal of food, clothing, shelter, weapon then conquer. But at times in games you just seem to play outside your own knowledge, which is somewhat frustrating because we know your style of play and knowledge of gaming. Which makes it feel as if viewers watched for an hour and never really saw real progression in the game as in your other play throughs.
@@JasirAsaAlaminYou haven't specified what you mean, like in this video, what are you referring to? What decision? Which choice? Because I might have very good reasons for doing what I did and you're missing the context, but I don't know what you're talking about in this video yet. Maybe I was thinking something and I didn't say it, or maybe I experienced something when testing the game off camera that I didn't talk about but would explain the decision. Sometimes when people say this, I've literally talked to the developers and they told me something and that information explains the choice. Maybe I made a mistake, maybe you don't know what I'm thinking. Say a timecode and thing I did in the video and I'll tell you what's up.
It's ok , I like watching your game play it's not a big deal. I was referring to when you move to a hex gather every resource until there all gone like Ancient Humans did then move on fully stocked leaving no meat, fruit, veggies, stone or flit behind also make hunting spears, stone knives and clothing before moving on like in survival games even though it a 4x game same principle. But it's no big deal, I watch your videos anyway.
@@JasirAsaAlamin Ah see you can't just sit there forever collecting things, you run out of water and then your people die from thirst. That's why I can't stay there to collect everything sometimes. I actually tried to stay put at one point and my people died of thirst. This game right now forces you to move on and leave resources behind because you need water. And it might not be worth going back for what you leave because it could take you like 4 turns to go back and move forward again to the water, but there's like 3 turns of food left behind, so going back for it only costs you 1 turn of food, so it's not worth it. Hope that explains what you're referring to but I don't know which point of the video you mean.
