Exhaust is a Gem on the gixxer. The Bike Feels so nimble to ride but at the same time it is so Rev-friendly as well that it feels as if you are riding some bigger cc bike. There is no power lag even on lower rpms in Traffic and the bike just picks up anytime even if we are on higher gears. Absolutely in Love with this Machine. The amount of Fun you get while riding it is immeasurable. Just Awesome!

I am the guy who first gave the test ride review of Gixxer on UA-cam but you are right it's not refined as fz.and my final verdict is go for RTR 4V 160 which is a better performance bike at same price
Completely agree with your review except that FZ V3 looks better than the Gixxer.. The FZ's acceleration to 100 is also same as the Gixxer.. But yes may be bottom n top of Gixxer cud be slightly better while the FZ wud pack a slightly better mid range.. Overall I wud pick the FZV3 for being a perfect practical urban commuter for Indian conditions.. The Gixxer tries to be more while not succeeding in it..

This is the 3rd generation of Yamaha FZ They couldn't even provide Gear Position Indicator in bike. I see so many new FZ bike owners putting aftermarket LED Gear Indicator to bike. Such a shame. Well Atleast Yamaha is providing Engine Kill Switch unlike Honda! Paying over a lakh rupees & still not getting basic bike necessities. Even experienced riders gets confused in traffic which gear they are. Let's give a round of applause for Suzuki India for this new generation Gixxer! What a bike👏👏👏

Is Mileage figures correct. I thought both bikes would give average mileage of 50. I'm using RTR 200 4V RE 2.0 and I'm getting an average of 38 KMPL. So happy to see this

I had Test rides on both these bikes....and felt comfortable on both... But i bought Gixer.... as it is more stable and stylish looks than fz v3.... Now on road everyone noticing my Gixer ..... IT'S REALLY A FUN BIKE.....
Better u go with Gixer if u want real sharp look and stable braking..... and most importantly people's attention on the road on Gixer....... Apart from this if u want muscular look n yamaha brand.. Then go with fz v3.....

Just purchased Yamaha FZ v3, no pickup, no top speed show, little bit vabretion, side mirror not okay, gair shift hard sometimes stuck in mid of traffic.

Owner of FZS-V3 its been 2 yrs its giving 45 km/ltr smooth ride.. If u go with ur family I would suggest u to go with FZS.. If u r a student u can go with Gixxer
Both will cost over 125000. I wanted a practical bike. Bought achiever for 75000. Changed tyres. 90 & 100mm. Another 4000. Mileage is very good @55. Decent pickup. For someone who wants a premium bike they can go for these bikes if money is not an issue.
If you are looking for performance go for r15 or looking for mileage go for Gixxer I used to own one I used to get about 55 per litter on my daily commute

Apache RTR 160 4v is better in all aspects but if you want big bike look and smoother riding experience in traffic and city as it's handle is slightly upside .
It would have been great if you could talk about after sale Services as well. Suzukis ever diminishing service centres and bad customer handling makes it a worse option to buy. Where as Yamaha has a wider and better service network.

I took the test drive of both in same day and bought gixxer. I felt like FZ forgot to give pick up and if you are riding with pillion than it will be hard to overtake even a 125 cc bike.
Handling, riding comfort, comfortable sitting and suspensions matter a lot in real world. Looks however great you get bored in a year or so.... Learnt this hard way...
Great work bro. Just sold my bike. Now biased between Shine SP , Unicorn & Gixxer... main concern being reliability... Since gixxer 150 naked doesn't have kick start... Please advise me... Unicorn has dated parts & an efficient engine but still everyone is telling me to go for Unicorn eyes closed... But the 1.21 lacs for a non feature rich commuter is stinging me... Where as the Naked Gixxer 150 has advanced features... Now that unicorn is costing me around 1.21 Lacs in my city... With 5 years b2b & Gixxer BS6 is nearly 1.44 which one will be the better choice....? My primary usage is city office commute & occasional weekend drive aways... My height is 5 feet 3 & am an ex ZMR owner... love to ride fast... age is 34.. I m a bit skeptical about the rear wheel width of Unicorn, Hornet has been discontinued .. but equally scared about gixxer not having kick start... & the pillion split seat being too short for family ride(can it be modified to a softer single seat?)... I am a karizma ZMR sufferer. If I go for SP 125 grey matt axis grey.. & change the rear tyre with Michelin Sirac street...will it hold up with only 10 bhp power?...( Both the bikes unicorn & Gixer BS6 are currently sold out in showrooms in my metro city Kolkata,... so I guess I have to wait 15-20 days...) I really like the Gixxer 150 naked one... But still reconsidering because of my experience with ZMR. On bike breakdowns for the local mechanics often found that they hardly have any expertise for modern fuel injected bike parts... Had to suffer due to self start up issues..a lot. Great video, loved the comparison. It feels a bit odd that you don't look at the camera while speaking. It's okay to break the monotony once in a while, but I felt you were looking away from the camera for about half the screen time.
I chose the FZ because there is no logic in choosing a "powerful" bike when the engine itself is small. If you are looking for a fast bike then look for 250, 300, 400 cc bikes because the maximum power you would get from 150-160 cc bike is still less than 20 bhp. You would compromise on comfort and practicality if you choose a sporty bike in this segment, and won't get the power to compesate the lack of practicality.
Design,looks,comfort, milage , handling, FZS rocks👌....who will ride 90 to 100 kmph daily..just because of power/speed ..I don go for others like apache..
