Best info I've heard since hearing about using the Calendar as the home page. Notes show up in the calendar on the day they were edited, so it switches them from one day to another. I'll definitely be using the square and asterisk function going forward.
I’ve been waiting for the a5x2 because of the note taking tools, i think you just persuaded me toward the GO. Especially with the microphone and AI on it, and price.
This is great. I just received my Go 10.3. I do own a Supernote A5X and love it, but it's not been suitable as a leisure device, though a great work device. I have a personal notebook that I use daily, but also wanted a little more fun. For work? The Supernote is great, for leisure, the Go 10.3 looks like the winner. I'm headed on a 2 week personal trip tonight and I'll be taking the Go 10.3 instead of the Supernote and in place of my iPad. I'm going to try being just a little less distracted on this trip.
I sold my Remarkable2, very satisified with the Boox. (The new Remarkable is tempting but this 10.3 just does everything so well IMO). Zero complaints.
Very informative video! I only wanted to add that all these option are not only for the GO 10.3 but also for other products (I have them in my note air 2), it is a firmware update that was given in the past month.
Thanks! I have the latest update in my Note Air 3C and it's not there. Some of the features are there but not in one location, as they are on the 10.3. @@rantsabouttechnology I have the page feature (and started to use thanks to your tips) I have the doubt that they divided the update for "Black and White" and "Colour" devices? I don't know. I guess i just haven't gotten that update yet. I'll add that to my update. Thanks again for your responses. Super helpful🙏🏾
Another great video and I can't help but notice you are approaching the 1K mark, well deserved. I think your walk through of the keyword and scribble features are rock solid. It got me thinking on my lunch and I played around a little with the Supernote. I would really be interested in seeing you do a head to head on this, and I might revisit these functions. I do, at least from the video, think Supernote has an advantage because Headings are specific to a note, their keywords are converted to text, globally searchable and exist in note, PDF, EPUB, and CBZ files. You also have the ability to use stars on the same formats and view it from a file and/or page perspective. I do think Ratta is worried about the Go 10.3 and hope the A5X2 comes to market this quarter. That is a match-up I want to see.
Thanks, Ed. Appreciated. The next round of device matchups is gonna be epic indeed! I agree the Supernote platform just handles these things a lot more eloquently than any Boox device IMO, and yeah they have a huge advantage. Great minds think alike as I'm currently working on a Feature update video about the Supernote platform and how their organization stacks up against the 10.3. The SN organization is the gold standard, to me, that I measure all others against. I don't see that changing, anytime soon.
Oh and yea, lol. 1k, Thanks again, man! Time to start planning that live stream. I'd love to plan one with you and @VladimirKostek sometime soon. I'll hit him up and see what he says.
Wow, thanks for that. This is what I was missing. I can now order the Boox Go 10.3 :) I also recently learned there is a Lamy EMR pen that is compatible with it, so it has everything I would have needed the Supernote for and more!
@@SpikedSilver Yes! If he A52X came out before the semester I would have bought it. It wouldn't have been perfect for me, given my use case, but I would have compromised. Now I don't have to.
Thanks for this video. I have been waiting for the A5x2, but if nothing happens in August, based on this video, I might buy this Go 10.3… even if the quick access is not so quick. Thanks
Yes for the quick access menu! This is my first e-ink tablet and I’ve wanted to switch quickly between notebooks multiple times. I don’t even mess with that five-click nonsense. I exit out and then choose the notebook I want. That’s two taps. The system they have in place to make that easier (?) is much harder than just going out and coming back in. I think swiping up from the right corner and having that show your open apps is also a pretty close quick access menu replacement, but it won’t show different notebooks open, just the one notebook app.
And you hit the nail on the head at the end, "but it won’t show different notebooks open, just the one notebook app". Thats the issue, otherwise multitasking would do it for me. I also agree that leaving and selecting a new note is as fast as, if not faster than, their quick pick solution, which is sad. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks for the explainer. Got mine recently and have barely looked at the organisation features. Just been reading and writing on it. There must be a way of creating shortcuts for quick access
@@rantsabouttechnology There are shortcuts for quick access, you just have to learn how to click the favorites (it's a toggle between recently and favorites in the notes app -- really cool!), associate notes, tags, links to notes, etc. really a powerhouse for brainstorming, thinking and mind mapping! Loving the boox go 10.3
This has been such a helpful video. Until now I have only used the same functionality that I have on my Scribe. I've just been testing the scribble search. I don't like drawing an asterix, but it also recognises a star shape :) And for the squares, they have to be hand-drawn, you can't use the shape tool. Now I've been using stars a lot (without realising they were searchable), but I put circles around them, and it doesn't like that. I tried squares with ticks in, and it still recognises those. So I would like it to recognise stars with circles but not squares with ticks :))
LOL great testing man and thanks for sharing. Good to know about the Boxes with ticks in them. Good to know they are recognized still. So my check boxes should work as well, nice! Stars also work? Interesting... I just wish the search didnt take so long, or that they were indexed for quicker access. Maybe one day. Thanks for the infor and for stopping by
Boox is amazing in terms of the range of features the devices have, but I don't think they have quite matched Supernote in terms of the quality of some of these items. In particular, the marking in the Supernote is more reliable (e.g. Boox handwriting search, which is what is used when looking up boxes and stars, won't always capture everything it should) and takes less strokes/button presses to implement. Supernote just provides a more thoughtful experience in this area. On the flip side, Boox offers so many features that you can ultimately do more with the notetaking app. So it just depends on what the user wants and is trying to do.
First, I love your content, and thanks for stopping by. I agree, the search (for anything) just takes too long and, as you mentioned, isn't as reliable as I'd like, but it's a start. If Onyx ever gets smart about indexing these things like the Ratta does, it'll get faster and more reliable, and then Boox might be able to contend with the Supernotes. Just got done scripting a video on the SN and it's menu/indexing system. Plays into what we are discussing here, hope to see ya there.
@@rantsabouttechnology Thanks for the compliment. I agree with your assessment. It feels like Boox is right there, ready to match Supernote. They haven't done that yet, but could just be one update away. Great video, I look forward to more of your content!
Thank you so much for this video! It is exactly what I needed to understand whether it is worth abandoning the wait for the A5X2. One question: are you able to confirm whether the Note Air 4C has this functionality also? I’m now deciding between the two. I’d like the finger print lock and colour but this functionality is crucial for me.
Hello, and the NA4C should have this functionality as well, now. With the introduction of Firmware v4.0 they have an outline feature that should mimic alot of the Supernote functionality... Should. I'll know more on Friday. Thanks for the comment :)
I have found a quick access feature by setting any gesture of your preference to go to the multitasking switcher. When activated that opens up all the open apps which makes it easy to switch between apps. Though it wouldn’t switch between different notebooks though.
Hey I think you slightly misunderstood the intention for the box scribble. I may be wrong but to me it looks like boxes are meant for tasks, not headers! Proof of that, if you cross the box in the page the scribble will disappear from the search list, and this is super convenient. It also makes your suggestion of checking the box from the search list a bit less important. Nice video BTW, thank you!
Hello, In that video, I mentioned that I use "Boxes" as headers. I was just referring to how I use them. I wasn't speaking to their original intent. I'm still not sure what their actual use case is. As far as putting a line through a box, that changes it from being a box so I imagine that's why it no longer shows up? 🤷🏾♂️ Anywho, thanks for sharing. Conversations like these bring us all closer to figuring this all out.🙂
@ Another thing to note is, when a square is transformed with perfect shape tool, it’s no longer recognized as box by the algorithm. If you then try to cross it, it can be recognized as a star! That’s confusing…. Sounds like good material for a rant 😉
Great Video, thanks as this was not clearly mentioned in the manuals. I did notice two things, though. 1. AI perfected boxes do not appear on the Search when you click on box. I am not sure if there is a setting. 2. The search panel in my device is always on the right half of the screen. Not on the full screen as yours. i am more concerned with the first point, if you have figured out a way to solve that?
the firmware containing these features has been released in form of a beta to my note air 3c, these tags are available for all devices that received the latest firmware i guess
i just tried drawing tiny squares and stars, but those are not recognized during searches, the tags work though, why put that in the interface if its not working? maybe theyll add it later?
Thanks for the update. I've been checking for weeks and I still don't have it. I'll check again tomorrow. They are very cool features. Hope I get them on my NA3C soon.
Just received a firmware update and now squares and and stars seem to be working just fine, if you want to receive the firmware updates sooner, just use the integrated feedback feature in the note air 3c and tell them you would like to join the beta after a while the beta should pop up in firmware section, just join that
For the quick access i believe the menu you see in the Tab Mini is because of the OS. I have the Tab Ultra C and I have the same menu with no dropdown. Hope that helps
I think you misunderstood what I was saying. On my Tab Mini C (Tab OS), and on my Not Air 3C (Note OS) neither of them has a drop-down menu. It's only on the Go 10.3, which is the problem. I want it to be more like the Tab and Note OS, with no dropdown menu. it's just more clicks. Thanks for stopping by.
It's a Custom Ceramic Nib, from the Supernote platform. I have a video outlining the process here: ua-cam.com/video/RvWJtr8f6f4/v-deo.html Good Luck :)
Thank you. This is very helpful for me, as I've not used an electronic notebook before, so am learning from quite a basic level as to what is/should be available. I've not had time to play about with my Go10.3 much yet, but am wondering what the layers are for. Are you able to cover that in a video?
Hello and sure. I've covered layers in a video I did on the Tab Mini C, Here : ua-cam.com/video/55aq_gVEhIA/v-deo.html @ 36:42 is where the Notes App section starts. Should be useful. Thanks for stopping by
Hey ! I saw this video before buying my Go 10.3. I like the device but I can’t see this square/star system at all. That’s too bas cause that was a big reason for my purchase…
Absolutely! Wait till you see what is possible with the new search, in my new video. I love it! ua-cam.com/video/KhO6930KcCQ/v-deo.html Enjoy! Oh, lol. This WAS that video. Didn't know it had already dropped >.
It actually has that already. Only the pages pane is new. Otherwise, those tags/stars/keywords are hidden in search options. Tags have the preview features in search. My personal gripe is that if you have let's say 60 pages full of handwritten text, searching for the keyword, stars or boxes takes more than 10 minutes... It is unusable at this point and the stars/boxes should be indexed for fast search while actually when you search for stars the app actually converts my 60 pages note to text and then searches for stars.
Yea, I've resolved to Only using the Tags for my Headers/Table of contents, and using boxes and stars only for special cases, like when I'll eventually want to see a list of names. I won't always need that, but doesn't hurt to put a symbol by all names (or names of devices, or dates), so they can be recalled, and in what context they were referenced and/or were speaking. The search time is kinda a deal breaker for the feature, which is probably why its not advertised.
@@rantsabouttechnology This is really a very-very interesting solution to make a table of contents similar to Supernote. So, if you want to create a table of contents with the tags, are they already present in the list without having to do a search? In what order are they displayed? ..insertion order or by progressive page number?
@@paolobellucci-g9n Hello and the tags don't need to be searched, they are just ever-present. They appear in page order, not the order that you create them, just like the supernote platform. Thanks for the comment.
Now it is. When this video was made it was only for the Go 10.3. Kinda like how the new firmware v4.0 is only on the NA4C at the moment. It'll come to other devices sure, but not for awhile.
I hear that Onyx pushed the update that adds these features out to the Note Air, line as well. I just haven't gotten that update yet. They push them out in waves so, I assume I'll get it at some point.
"I believe they should update this, especially in terms of reducing the time it takes to repopulate in Search. Currently, I'm sticking to my tags method where I use keywords, instead of asterisks or boxes. Tags're faster
Yea, until they index the searches, or make the searches faster, its almost useless... almost. I use it on very rare and niche occasions. Thanks for the comment!
Someone else said that as well about the Note Air 2. But its not available on the Note Air 3C???!!! Makes no sense. Now I'm mad, lol. I'm putting that in a video for sure. Thanks for the confirmation and for stopping by.
@@rantsabouttechnology I did not have the scribble feature though which after watching your video, I was super excited about. Guess I will either have to upgrade to the Go 10.3 or wait for a future firmware release.
Had the RM2, bought A6X2, went back to the RM due to the weird Feelwrite 2 Film. What would you say, woth it to jump from the RM2 to the Boox Go 10.3? Thx and keep it up!
Without a doubt. And I hate to say this really (Video about this brewing now) but the Go 10.3 is lighter, thinner, higher resolution, more contrast which makes it easier to read and see in darker conditions (and it just looks magical), Better tools, better note-taking, better reader, as good if not better build quality, speakers, microphone... I could go on and on. The reMarkables selling point , to me, is it's ease of use (for beginners, if you will). If you know you want an eInk device and know what you're getting into, then between the 10.3 and the reM2 I'd choose, and recommend the 10.3 all day, everyday.
@@rantsabouttechnology Alright, bought the Boox Go 10.3 and can really confirm what you said about all the features. My issue is, that it has an uneven backside. The back does not seem to be glued correctly to the device and the second unit I ordered has the same issue. The other thing is that the software is feature-rich but also seems to be inconsistent with the UI. What I really love about the Boox is the awesome screen and that I'm able to install Apps, so much fun! Summed up, without the quality control issues I would have switched from my RM2 easily, now I have 2 Boox Go 10.3, my RM2 and my Supernote Nomad on the table and I'm unsure if I should keep my trusted RM2 or keep one of the Go 10.3 with the uneven back :). Edit: Found this post on reddit that says the behaviour could be normal or at least as expected: www.reddit.com/r/Onyx_Boox/comments/1ecbos0/comment/leywrcj/?
So there is no bookmark (or table of content) feature? What a deal breaker for me :(. Even with the start or box search, it takes a painfully long time to wait. Not pleasant at all. However, your video is very nice. THanks!
Thanks for the comment. Nope, no book mark or table of contents, though the Tags system ,effectively, is used to make the table of contents. Try it... works really well.
It bugs me that gui redesigners replaced the sausages with meatballs and still call it a hamburger. At this point it's a vertical ellipsis for more options, reverting to 1980s iconography.
LMAO. I had to google that and it lead me down a rabbit hole I wasnt ready for. But now that I know what you were referring to, you are absolutely right. They were more like "stacked patties before. Thanks for the lesson.🙏🏾
Book Go 10.3 with Carta 1300 and android 14. Instant buy for me I hope they make it. But I can’t in good conscience buy this knowing it’s not the best version of B&W E-ink 😔
hi I am concerned on no backlight on Go 10.3. I saw reviews saying it is difficult to read in the evening. what's your honest opinion on no backlight? should we wait for another device with 300 dpi with backlight and better CPU?
The The reMarkable Paper Pro was just announced. I'd take a look at that. Though it's not as impressive as I thought it should have been, it's still a remarkable device, and they make awesome tech. If thats too pricey take a look at the Note Air 3. The thing with lighting is, if you think you might need it, you probably do. And the new reMarkable has light and color :)
...but it looks like it only searches for scribbles (squares and asterisks) in each individual note. I hate that their note app is segregated from all the other apps.
Good point, and yea, only the current note is searchable in that way. I really do think they are gonna update the software though, to make it more usable. Thanks for stopping by.
Some of the features, "Boxes" , "Asterisks", "Tags" , that I was not aware of. Nice. Can you tell which boox firmware you are in, whether it is the stock version , with which the go 10.3 came to you? (because, the stock boox go 10.3 comes with some particular firmware, which is not the latest, and it's possible to upgrade. However, I basically don't want to upgrade...Just personal biases, don't like software upgrades :) )
For quick access you have to do the following in the settings: 1) Gestures: bottom center have it set to Home Screen , 2) system display , under custom Home Screen set it to notes. Now open a random note, swipe at the center bottom swipe UP… boom your quick access to notes This replicates supernote quick access with one swipe and access to your notes
Not even close... Respectfully of course. First, there are tons of notes and folders and such there, so having to go through all of them from the top of the file system isn't quick. By comparison, the Supernote system lets you put your 8 most used notes, or pages, or documents. No need to scour through tons of files, for something you use twenty times a day. Secondly, you're not taking into consideration the added clicks you have to perform to actually get to a note(page), that's in a folder, or buried inside a notepad itself. Most people's notes are in a file system, not hanging out as individual notes on the notes landing page. One swipe to gets you to the notes landing page, but then you have to actually get to your note - More clicks. Not the case with the Supernote. I WILL steal your idea to make the homepage the notes app and make a gesture for the home page. It's useful for sure, just not quick lol. Thanks ! 🙏🏿
Nope the search is just painfully slow sometimes. If you just want headers or a table of contents then just use the tags, they work the same way and don't need to be searched. Thx for stopping by
Instead of the asterisk you can use the hash symbol (#). I can draw it faster and is doesn't have to be as accurate as a when I draw a square or an asterisk.
Would love to use the scribble search for boxes and asterixs. But tipping on the site number only brings up tags and thumbnails, no scribbles. Is there a special setting for it? Firmware is actual in europe..
Another question: when using the "Scribble" feature, is it required to "regenerate" the new list of symbols (asterisks or boxes) , after coming back to the notes area and adding some notes, and then opening the "Scribble" tab again, or the previously generated list of symbols would stay there?
@@rantsabouttechnology That is currently my main issue with this feature. When I search a 26-page notepad for boxes, it takes 80 seconds to show results. If I check one result and then go back to the search, I have to wait 80 seconds again for the list to be regenerated. (I tried multiple times in a row, it doesn't get any faster.) That makes the box/asterisk/keywords search nearly unusable for me. I hope they will make the results of a search "sticky" in a future update.
Indeed, that would be super useful. I mainly use the tags for my header system, as it's instant. I reserve the asterisk/box system for more granular things. Thanks for the feedback.
@@rantsabouttechnology Yes, I've been following the suggestion from your previous video to use tags as headers, and it works well (thank you!). Tags are fast to create and search for.
7:07: the waiting time for the search is of course totally unacceptable. They need to build an index the moment you write something and not convert and search when you want to quickly find stuff.
I agree, that's why I left it in the video to give a sense of time, and usefulness. But you're right, it's not as useful now, but when they start indexing these symbols and tags, it's gonna be something to contend with. Thanks for stopping by :)
@@rantsabouttechnologyI don’t have the device yet but am digging through all the reviews. Driven By Moss did an in-depth review where he showed an option in the note settings menu that was called something along the lines of “automatically convert text in the background” and it’s disabled by default. I’m curious, have you tried enabling that setting and then doing a search? Is it any faster that way? I’m hoping to get one soon and will hopefully be able to give it a try myself. A speedy handwriting search would be so handy. Thank you for all the tips in this video.
This search feature is kind of fine... I think. The problem with it is that it is unindexed which means that when you look up a word or a star each time the app converts your whole note to text... It is ok when your pages have up to 50 words but when it is a wall of text it is a pain. Definitely you can push those videos to be a breakdown or a pitch of Boox's features :)
I was just making that comment to a subscriber 1 second ago. Search just takes too long. If they can figure out a way to optimize it, it could be great. Or maybe if it indexed your query and saved it, only changing the info or prompting a new search when the criteria changes, which it usually doesn't. Even if it does change, only append the search, not do it all over again. Maybe one day, lol. Maybe I should change the Title to Feature Update... Hmmm. Thanks for the comment

Lemme know if I'm wrong, as I would like to confirm it before I mention it. Thanks for stopping by
@@rantsabouttechnology
I have the page feature (and started to use thanks to your tips)
I have the doubt that they divided the update for "Black and White" and "Colour" devices? I don't know.
The firmware that I have know was rolled on 19/07/2024 and have the feature described in this video from boox
ua-cam.com/video/zr5RDnjkJN8/v-deo.html
Thank you so much for that. I saw that video and since it showed the Go 10.3 at the beginning I just assumed it was just for the 10.3
Then I went to my Note Air 3C and saw that I was on the latest update but didn't have the Pages Pane view... and I still don't. I guess i just haven't gotten that update yet. I'll add that to my update.
Thanks again for your responses. Super helpful🙏🏾
How have you not got more subscribers! Such fantastic high quality content! Subscribed and looking forward to similar future content! :D
Thanks man, they'll all come around, lol.

@@rantsabouttechnology I'm definitely in!
Wow, thanks for that. This is what I was missing. I can now order the Boox Go 10.3 :) I also recently learned there is a Lamy EMR pen that is compatible with it, so it has everything I would have needed the Supernote for and more!
Glad it was helpful. You're gonna love the 10.3 and the Lamy. Perfect combination.
Is it because the A5X2 is taking forever? Lol
@@SpikedSilver Yes! If he A52X came out before the semester I would have bought it. It wouldn't have been perfect for me, given my use case, but I would have compromised. Now I don't have to.
@@mojojojo1529what are the features that the boox has that the supernote doesn’t?
Thanks for this video. I have been waiting for the A5x2, but if nothing happens in August, based on this video, I might buy this Go 10.3… even if the quick access is not so quick. Thanks
LOL @ Quick Access. Np man, glad I could help!
Something tells me September/October with the other Tech releases. Just a guess.
Excellent information! Qbert takes it to another level.
Glad it was useful🤙🏾
New viewer. I’m very impressed with the presentation and editing! Great work!
Thx, greatly appreciated 🙏🏿
Also, I ordered a Lamy and it arrived today. I swappped the nibs and it's pretty good. The black works well with the Go 103.
I thought it might. Thanks for confirming. I have one laying around somewhere, think I'll give it a try as well.
This is amazing information. I had absolutely no idea!
Ikr, me either! Enjoy!
Just found your channel - Excellent Content. Another sub for you sir!
Thank you :)
Thanks for the explainer. Got mine recently and have barely looked at the organisation features. Just been reading and writing on it. There must be a way of creating shortcuts for quick access
Congrats you're gonna love it. No shortcuts yet but we'll see what Onyx does with it.
Loving the boox go 10.3
Boox should hire you as a consultant. nice review!
Agreed! lol. Thanks!
Thanks for this. I didn't realise the box was also searchable.I can draw a box batter than a *.
LOl, same here. And I already had all my headers with boxes, it was great. Just wish the search was faster🤷🏾♂️
Thanks for stopping by.
Great concise content!
Thanks!
@ thank you so much!
I have found a quick access feature by setting any gesture of your preference to go to the multitasking switcher. When activated that opens up all the open apps which makes it easy to switch between apps. Though it wouldn’t switch between different notebooks though.
...and therein lies the problem. One one open notebook at a time.
Thanks for the comment.
Hello,
In that video, I mentioned that I use "Boxes" as headers. I was just referring to how I use them. I wasn't speaking to their original intent. I'm still not sure what their actual use case is.
As far as putting a line through a box, that changes it from being a box so I imagine that's why it no longer shows up? 🤷🏾♂️
Anywho, thanks for sharing.
Lol indeed. Thanks for the info :)
GM and nope, Perfect boxes aren't searchable. Haven't found a way around that... Yet.
the firmware containing these features has been released in form of a beta to my note air 3c, these tags are available for all devices that received the latest firmware i guess
i just tried drawing tiny squares and stars, but those are not recognized during searches, the tags work though, why put that in the interface if its not working? maybe theyll add it later?
Thanks for the update. I've been checking for weeks and I still don't have it. I'll check again tomorrow. They are very cool features. Hope I get them on my NA3C soon.
Just received a firmware update and now squares and and stars seem to be working just fine, if you want to receive the firmware updates sooner, just use the integrated feedback feature in the note air 3c and tell them you would like to join the beta after a while the beta should pop up in firmware section, just join that
i guess its out of beta now for note air 3c as well
For the quick access i believe the menu you see in the Tab Mini is because of the OS.
Can you please tell what nibs are you using with in this video for your Lamy pen?
It's a Custom Ceramic Nib, from the Supernote platform. I have a video outlining the process here: ua-cam.com/video/RvWJtr8f6f4/v-deo.html
Good Luck :)
Thanks for stopping by
@@rantsabouttechnology Thanks. I’ll have a look at that.
Hey ! I saw this video before buying my Go 10.3. I like the device but I can’t see this square/star system at all. That’s too bas cause that was a big reason for my purchase…
The star and box search is under the search tool, and under the "scribbles" section. Hope this helps.
Man. I wish the Note Air 3 C had that tag functionality. Hopefully they add that in a future update
Absolutely! Wait till you see what is possible with the new search, in my new video. I love it! ua-cam.com/video/KhO6930KcCQ/v-deo.html
Enjoy!
You are very good, pleasant to listen to, and your videos are very interesting, thank you. How many tags can be displayed in the list?
Thank you for the kind words.
I'm not sure how many tags can be display or made, that's a very good question and something for the next update, thx!
1:48: Options to go to the pages are also on my BOOX Note Air 2 Plus as well as on my BOOX Tab Ultra C. This is not a feature of the Go 10.3
Now it is.
When this video was made it was only for the Go 10.3. Kinda like how the new firmware v4.0 is only on the NA4C at the moment. It'll come to other devices sure, but not for awhile.
Great review! I assume all the features you talked about (tags, stars, etc.) apply to ALL Boox devices? I'm considering the Boox 10.3 Air C. Thanks!
I hear that Onyx pushed the update that adds these features out to the Note Air, line as well. I just haven't gotten that update yet. They push them out in waves so, I assume I'll get it at some point.
@@rantsabouttechnology Thanks! Much appreciated.
In other words, Supernote is still king. Long live the king!
You're absolutely right, it's still the king. For more reasons than I mention here.

Someone else said that as well about the Note Air 2. But its not available on the Note Air 3C???!!! Makes no sense. Now I'm mad, lol. I'm putting that in a video for sure.

@@rantsabouttechnology Thx for the quick feedback! Sounds almost as if there was no real choice, also if you consider the much higher price.
@@rantsabouttechnology Hi, can I ask you if we have the option to choose blank note instead of ruled ones?
Yup you can pick between a couple dozen different templates. "Blank" is one of them.
It bugs me that gui redesigners replaced the sausages with meatballs and still call it a hamburger. At this point it's a vertical ellipsis for more options, reverting to 1980s iconography.

Seriously though, that would be an instant buy for me too. software unseen.
hi I am concerned on no backlight on Go 10.3.
Running version 12024-6-21_06-12_3.5.3_899fd4030. It's the latest version that I can update to. Hope this helps, and thx for stopping by.
For quick access you have to do the following in the settings:
1) Gestures: bottom center have it set to Home Screen , 2) system display , under custom Home Screen set it to notes.
Now open a random note, swipe at the center bottom swipe UP… boom your quick access to notes
This replicates supernote quick access with one swipe and access to your notes
Thanks ! 🙏🏿
Yeah that's it. And it will even work even if you are in the readings or any app
Yea but it's not quick (read response)
@@rantsabouttechnology yeah i get that. Still something
@@muhammadibrahim8312 absolutely, and like I said, I'll definitely be using it. Thx
The search is soooo slooooow. Is there any way to speed that up? I almost jumped to purchase until I saw how long the search was taking…
Nope the search is just painfully slow sometimes. If you just want headers or a table of contents then just use the tags, they work the same way and don't need to be searched.
Thx for stopping by
Thanks!! I did not know about the square and Star. Can I Just draw a Star like you can with the square?
Yup! It has to be an asterisk though. But you can draw or use a symbol, works the same
Instead of the asterisk you can use the hash symbol (#).
No, no special setting. It's probably due to your firmware. which one are you on?
Tipping on the site number only brings up tags and thumbnails. If you want scribble search simply click on the search symbol again. :)
Another question: when using the "Scribble" feature, is it required to "regenerate" the new list of symbols (asterisks or boxes) , after coming back to the notes area and adding some notes, and then opening the "Scribble" tab again, or the previously generated list of symbols would stay there?
The list doesn't stay there, but I've noticed that the list takes a lot less time to repopulate, when you go back to it.
@@rantsabouttechnology So, tags are more "sticky" , right? They won't be regenerated.
This is only within 1 notebook though? Not across all notebooks right?
Right! which I think is better. If you want to search all notebooks, you need to do a search at the notes app landing page.
Hope this helps.
