“I’m in a maximum security facility by no fault of my own…” quote from the only guy in a max security prison that didn’t do anything to get put there 😂😂😂😂
The sad thing is, if there are innocent ppl the gvt would genuinely want locked up, they probably wouldn't get to speak their piece. They'd mysteriously vanish or will be threatened into not contesting their"guilt".
I agree, these collection agencies that can charge $35 every time they send a request for money is outrageous. You know darn well that company is maybe spending $5 a year per person and yet probably racks up 300-500 a year in fees. I only owed money once, and it was for a stack of overdraft fees as I was unaware that they were occurring at that time; so $30 of purchased items turned into $500+ negative balance. Needless to say I changed banks.
In Idaho you can file a motion to reduce the monthly garnishment to a maximum of $20. I wonder how many other states have that pre-existing law that people don't motion properly.

As for the Arabic woman, if someone does not understand the language, they are not going to understand what you're saying when you ask them if they need an interpreter. Lol. If they don't understand, they don't understand.
I understand the courts trying to collect their money. However, spending hundreds, possibly thousands, to collect 13 dollars makes no sense and is an obvious waste of taxpayer money.
The fact that you don’t understand why this process is in place, says you do not understand the idea of justice. Do you think everything is about money. Justice costs the public something. It also cost the guilty something. That’s how it’s supposed to work.
I understand why they work to collect the money. My point is you know a lifer will never be able to pay off his debt. It doesn't make sense to keep spending money on the lost causes by continuing to take them to court and wasting more time and money.
