This. This is the reason why I love your channel a lot. You are not afraid to react to underrated (like, really underrated) artist. Whenever I listen to albums like Chappel Roan's "The Rise & Fall of a Midwest Princess", Nothing But Thieves' "Dead Club City" or Eartheater's "Powders", I can always count on you to film a reaction.
I think Mosquito is called that because she sees herself as an annoyance to the person she's crushing on. She believes that, to the other person, she is small and unimportant, and she is apologizing for her behaviors and obsessing over someone who may not be aware of her presence in the first place. A lot of PinkPantheress tracks talk about struggles with self-worth and reliance on the affection/attention of someone else to feel validated. That's how I interpreted it, anyway.
@@bennshoutswell actually… in an interview recently she revealed that the real reason she named it mosquito was because she got bit by mosquitos on the day she wrote that songs😅
Capable of love is the real album closer and the ice spice song was added as a bonus song bc it’s her most successful song so how can she not add it for the streams, probably her label made her
Pinkpantheress heals a part of the Gen-Z generation I swear. Her bringing back the Y2K aesthetic recalls my childhood so vividly and whenever I listen to one of her songs I am transported back to that little girl who used to dance in the kitchen to her mom’s iPod.
Kelela is an amazing artist and has probably been my favourite artist all year. She makes songs about love so beautifully and so dark and brooding but so amazing. If you have time I'd love you to check out her albums!! It's alternative R&B and club. Take Me Apart has Arca, Jam City and Kingdom (shygirl) production and Raven has LSDXOXO production (if u react to Raven let the songs transition into each other!!)! She does remix albums too and the remix album for Raven releases soon or next year (the Kaytranada remix for Waitin is such a bop). If her voice on here is enough to sway you, you will love her music. Loved the reaction as always Ben!!
No its not. She wrote it after watching an AHS episode. She made a tiktok about it. Hence why its about a girl being lured to her death and being drowned in a bathtub. She was Inspired by a horror series.
@@valentinaaa3764 girl, she made a tiktok talking about it ages ago when it was unreleased. Hamlet didn't kill ophelia, she drowned by accident with flowers in her hands. The lyrics don't reflect that at all.
i dont know if you like trap-metal or fairy-trap genres, but i wonder if youd like zheanis music, her new EP "the spiritual meatgrinder" is a mix of hyperpop and metal. her earlier songs were mostly hyperpop and fairy trap but more recently shes focused more on rock and metal (with the exception of the ep)

the song also isnt abt love but money and fame! i love the metaphors
@@z83.Haha, yup. She also said the song was about spending money rather than romance.

"capable of love" IS the album's closer. "boy's a liar" is a bonus track. glad you enjoyed the album ❤

KELELA STANS UNITEEEEEE
Ophelia is written from the perspective of Ophelia from Shakespare’s Hamlet - she drowns at the end which is why there is a drowning noise at the end!
No its not. She wrote it after watching an AHS episode. She made a tiktok about it. Hence why its about a girl being lured to her death and being drowned in a bathtub. She was Inspired by a horror series.
@@dw9524girl, Ophelia is about hamlet.

@@valentinaaa3764it is a hamlet character but I remember her posting the demo saying she based it off AHS murder house in an old tiktok
