key ignition won't come out (Nissan Armada)

    Thank you for your video it led me on to the fix for my 2005 Nissan Murano with the same situation my key would not come out of the ignition but I found that by just moving my gear shift to the right which is what you did manually by pushing that white box but I didn't have to take the cover off the lever the shifting lever all I had to do was move it to the right with my hand on the stick normally and I could hear that small click in the ignition port where the key was and by starting the car and then stopping the car and moving the gear lever over to the right I was able to get that solenoid to work and remove the key by turning all the way to the lock position without having to lift off the cover

    I'm having the same problem but this help it do you have any other suggestions or name of the white box then can try to replace it

      The clips that hold that white switch in place are not doing their job... The clip may be casted into the base plate of the whole shifter assembly. Not sure because I don't have this problem, But.. Maybe glue it in with RTV or strap it in place with some stiff (bailing) wire or wedge something behind is so it can't pop out of place any more, because the shifter pushes against it. At least until you can replace the part..
