Nice to see an RT on for a change but I would guess it’s because they never need worked on. 😊 This is one thing I worry the most about with my bike however, it’s 300 miles to my nearest dealership. Guess I’d better invest in doing it myself. Thanks Kirk. Wished I’d lived a lot closer to Crystal Lake IL.
Referencing a K1600 which appears to be very similar. The BMW service manual says to perform the bleeding of the front brake on the left side first. I saw you did it on the right side first. Is this an issue?
Sir, I just joined your channel. What can I say, excellent! With your permission quick question! If I decide to extend my brake line (for tall bar risers) is it enough to just flush the front brake or do you still need to also flush the rear brake circuit? I have a 2020 R1250RS. Thanks much!
I just got my RT but have an 800GS and I can tell you that with the motoscan the process was the same, and then interface different but the path to the ABS service menu is the same.
So when you're bleeding the brakes, do you put pressure on the brake pedal crack the valve while there is still pressure and then shut the valve whether still pressure. And repeat so you're always pressing pedal cracking the valve, shutting valve and releasing pedal?
Speed bleeders aid that process tremendously. Good video.
Speed bleeder, GS911. The RT brake bleed is one of the easiest services to do on that bike.
Make sure the little port is clear. I had to poke a piece of fine wire into the port to clear it.

Great video
Especially abs bikes. More hardware to protect.

It is definitely not an issue. Either way they will both get clean fluid.

you should be able to just flush out the front circuit
Same process with moto scan?
I have no experience with the moto scan.
