I like your travel experience. Beijing and Shanghai are new areas for foreigners to come to China. Now we also come to the colorful Guangzhou. As you said... these places have different rhythms Guangdong Province has the highest GDP in China, so there are many Chinese people from other provinces working in Guangzhou, so you can probably eat national delicacies in Guangdong Province Although it is not 100% performance, it really integrates the essence of Chinese food culture. Even if you are a vegetarian, it will have a great impact on your taste buds Hope you have more happy journeys😊😊😊❤

The Chinatown might be kinda of Cantonese China style in old days. But China has developed into a completely different country for the last few decades. Every time I went back to visit my hometown I got amazed. And one thing you described China I feel exactly right is that China is a mixed country with diversification that would take a really long time to experience. I would say one month of traveling barely scratch the surface

People complain about Hainan due to excessive tourism competition. Some travel companies attract customers at prices lower than cost, but require tourists to purchase goods in order to obtain rebates from merchants, and so on. During the peak tourist season, some hotels and airlines may temporarily raise prices

Translation usually doesn't work in China (especially in the south like Guangzhou) because even we Chinese sometimes don't know what the heck they are. Our restaurant especially down south have this tradition of naming dishes like they were a painting or poetry. eg. we normally name chicken feet phoenix claw, in Guangdong cuisisne, it's normally braised in soy saurce and is a reddish brown color. Now the peach claw thing you mention might be because they prepare it a little different like so they rename it to peach claw or whatever you saw on the menu. This is especially problematic during Chinese New Year because they would put a little spin on some regular dishes and rename them to something auspicious. A lot of time, we have to ask the server what the heck the item is. So if you are using translation software, literally ask the guy what kind of meat or vegetable in the dish and how do they prepare them. If no one is around a better way is to image search the chinese text (not the translation).

The name of “five-finger-peach”-Ficus hirta comes from its morphological characteristics. Specifically, "five fingers" is because its leaves are mostly five-lobed and palm-shaped, resembling the five fingers of a human hand. "Hairy peach" is due to the fact that when its fruits are ripe, they look like hairy peaches with a layer of fluff on the surface. In addition, since it exudes white latex when broken, it is also called "Five-finger Milk" in some areas.

“five finger peach"(Chinese 五指毛桃) maybe is a kind of Ficus hirta Vahl, Its leaves have five branches, like five fingers, so it is called "Five Finger Peach"?. Chinese people like to use its roots to cook broth.

    What's up with Hainan?
It's considered as a great tourist destination with their beaches and tropical weather.
Apart from being an expensive place, there's actually not much to hate about.

Museum should be the first place a person should visit. It will shorten your understanding of the city you are in and understand how it evolved. I am hooked on museums in China.

It's fair to say it takes at least a month for one to understand a bit about China. Good or bad, but definitely different from what you would imagine seeing it from outside. Wish you a happy stay there.

Chinese people love Hainan so much, Hainan is a tourist city for most Chinese people, especially cities like Sanya, Wanning, Haikou, Boao etc. Guangdong guys go there almost every week to enjoy the beach and sunshine, and the fantastic food such as Qingbuliang and Yeziji(coconut chicken.) Please Ignore the comments that involved 'China hate'. Go there to see the truth, hope you enjoy your trip in Sanya!

People complain a lot about Hainan because places like Sanya are too comerercialized. There's only too parts of China that are located in tropical zone and Hainan is one of them. So they don't really have competition when the winter is coming. So people do complain about the bad service they receive in Hainan but guess what happen after a few years? They go back to Hainan again... The bad reputation doesn't really affect the business so people(not just the locals, many business owners in Hainan are from Dongbei) don't care about spreading it.

Several years ago, Hainan, especially Sanya, had bad reputations of tourist traps, ridiculous sea food price in some restaurants. And because it’s the most popular vacation destination during the winter, the hotel and food could be quite expensive (compare to Thailand). I guess that’s the reason some people don’t like Hainan. Nowadays it’s much saver and more pleasant to visit Hainan as a tourist.

I think, you can sort out your materials and make several series of special topics. For example, publish a video to introduce Chinese food or hotels in China (the ones you have stayed in). This should be good too. At least I think it looks better than a travel diary.
