- I'm sorry I haven't released new videos lately, but I have broken my left wrist on a ride in the last days of the year and you can find all info about it at the end of this video.
Can small bikes like the Honda CRF300L keep up with the big boys like the KTM 690 Enduro R and the Husqvarna 701 Enduro?

Fantastic video, fantastic attitude! Heal quickly and thoroughly and get back out there. At the end of the day your Honda 300 will almost surely be functioning properly, you won't get there first, but you'll get there.

What a great video! It can indeed be very tempting to get more horse power, but so far I've been able to follow my buddies on their 790 Adventure R's everywhere. I just don't pull out of the corners as fast. Loved the Mark Twain quote. 🙏

The video was shot in September, the crash was on December 29. But still, here in Portugal the weather has been great for the last month, mostly sunny. Yeah trying to decide on which suspension. Let's hope I can have it sorted soon. /Rui

Yes, using inner tubes and slime Tube Sealant. I usually don't carry equipment to replace my tubes, but I usually carry a front inner tube so I can just go to any auto shop/moto shop and they can easily replace it. I also always carry a small pump Basecamp BC-751 with schrader valve so I can pump some air if I need. /Rui

Great video! How much of a diffrence in winddeflection does that mini-fairing do?
It helps quite a bit. It's not a full fledge touring windscreen but I definitely feel it when I wasn't using it. Takes a lot of wind from my chest. /Rui

I bought a CRF300L about a week ago and it's not as slow as I thought it was going to be. It's obviously not as fast as my CR250R was. It's also lighter than I thought it was going to be. I think the suspension is probably the worst thing about it. Do you have any plans for upgrades like suspension, exhaust, ecu, intake, etc.?
Yeah it's much better than we expect when we first look at it or read the specs. I plan to an upgrade to the suspension, especially the rear shock. Haven't decided on more upgrades for now. /Rui
Deep sand is what bigger bikes are built for. Let's see how they keep up on single track.

On the video I used the Metzeler MC360 Mid Soft, but on the crash in December already had the Michelin Trackers that I'm currently using. I'm using rim lock in the rear only. Using tubes with slime tube sealant. I'm usually around 1.3-1.5 BAR (18 to 21 PSI). /Rui

No, I removed the OEM IRC's early on. Then I did 5000km/3000mi on the Metzeler MC360 MidSoft, which are amazing on sand 👌. Now I was using the Michelin Trackers when I crashed. /Rui

He hits the trails at 80+ Km/h, like a madman. I am definitely not gonna go that fast with my 300 but the proof is there.
Once modded properly, i think it can keep up with the bigger bikes...
