    Canadians are not prepared for climate change due to its being a "political" issue. The reality is that climate change is extremely expensive. None of our infrastructure has been designed for the rapid weather changes we are experiencing which will only increase and be far worse in the coming years. It needs to be updated now. There are many ways to do this and looking at other cities around the globe that have taken the initiative to deal with such flooding, it's possible to mitigate the effects of such storms. Given that the Conservative Party of Canada, of Ontario (and all other provinces) have been key to blocking sustainable initiatives and considering that these parties have vast amounts of money at their disposal, I recommend giving the bill for such changes to them. If they don't like that then impose an extreme profit tax on the fossil fuel industry and use that money to upgrade our infrastructure. In the interim, perhaps we could drive fewer gas guzzling SUVs, trucks, and other such vehicles a bit less?

    • @katherinejaconello7334
      @katherinejaconello7334 3 місяці тому

      Shill for the UN Agenda 21? This is not climate change. It is geo-engineering, cloud seeding, destruction of the city environment. 52 trees were cut down in our neighbourhood by Metrolinx. Entire blocks of homes with gardens and backyards have been razed for concrete and condos. A 42 story condo is going up at Pape and Danforth in violation of land use rules. A digital prison is coming our way with 15 minute cities and surveillance.
