@@Megz1794 She was offered one for herself aswell as the one for her son by the boat renting company staff, she declined the one for herself but they put it in the boat anyway so she had one. According to the son they both jumped in the water after she counted down "3,2,1!", she probably got cramp or something, managed to push her son back on to the boat. She cried for help one time before she sank, the last thing the son saw of her was her arm disappear under the water, all according to the son. If she would have worn a life vest as advised, she would have survived, instead she made her son motherless and left him scarred for life with that last image of her. Reckless is an understatement🙄
Therese Nydahl I was going off of when the son said she said helped back on the boat meaning it can also be assumed he wasn’t originally on the boat at one point and probably fell off while she was counting down. And of course her yelling for help wouldn’t work since the only available help was the rental boat dude on land who called 911 when the boat didn’t come back on time so he wouldn’t be close enough to hear her cry for help in order to save her fast enough.

Odog Gow she just had one can of white claw seltzer which it’s not even intoxicating coz I had that drink before and it didn’t even affected me it’s a seltzer with a tiny alcohol content . It was a horrible accident accept that fact and of course there was a lesson learned from this tragic accident but there’s no need to be so critical and harsh about it , it’s not necessary and loving .

People keep saying this is “fishy” because it’s new information but I don’t see how it is. It seems like a lot of what was discovered during the initial investigation was not reported to the public because it was an ongoing case, they had their suspicions of what happened but were waiting on the autopsy and toxicology report to make sure. Now that everything has come back and they concluded that it was an actual drowning and no foul play was involved, they released more information. Not everything needs to be some conspiracy theory. Celebrities aren’t immune to accidents and tragedies.

My point is what doctor would RX her a upper/downer combo for anxiety. It just doesn't make sense & contributed to her death , I just know it did. I always thought there is more to this unfortunate passing that we are not being told. The story never made any sense to begin with. She saved her son's life, despite the son saying he never saw her. If she lifted her son to the boat, that means she could have held on to the boat herself. Even so if she yelled for help and waved her arms that means someone saw her.

Valium can be found in your system up to 3 days after you take it because it has a long half-life. Water and vertigo do not mix.

She drowned on my birthday last year, and it is still bothering me almost a year later. I also suffer from chronic vertigo and have been in pools when a dizzy episode takes over. It is terrifying. I cannot even imagine what she must have been thinking and feeling in those moments.
The autopsy report said that Naya suffered from Vertigo and that she had been treated for it in hospital and that the Vertigo would get worse when she was in water.

I still feel there is more to this than we know . Her mother said she was a very good swimmer. When she yelled " Help " how do we know there wasnt someone that knew she would be there @ that lake .. As soon as they saw her arrive they jumped into the water and went towards where the boat was anchored . First of this is someone’s death. Just because it’s a celebrity’s doesn’t mean it’s okay to make it public. But if I’m being honest I think the people that give the boat to people should be held responsible for Naya’s death in some ways. They should be watching that everyone is safe, they should also be listening not just giving people there boats and not paying attention anymore.

Yelling for help doesn’t necessarily mean anyone will hear you. That lake is massive and it’s why a life jacket is recommended by the people who rent out the boats because there is no guarantee anyone will get to you in time even if a miracle occurs and someone does hear you. This is not the fault of the people renting out the boats. If you read an article on the new information reported on this case, it explains that the boy stated his mom was screaming for help. It says nothing about anyone else being able to hear or see her.
lake piru is a really large lake and i think that there were only a few other boats on the water when she was out with Josey. if there were only a couple boats at that time, it would’ve been really hard for anyone to hear her calls for help unless they were near the area of the lake her and Josey were in.
The video tape of Naya Rivera driving to the lake, walking, getting onto the boat and leaving was posted on the internet. There's nothing out of the ordinary, except for the fact that a woman and a young child would be willing to swim in a lake alone where there wasn't anyone around to help. I don't understand why anyone would go swim in a secluded area when there are pools and other bodies of water everywhere that are much safer and under supervision for help. Some people have said that body of water has killed a few people over the years, but people still go there without taking precautions to stay safe. My sympathies to her and her child, but I wish she had made some other decision other than going to that lake.

hi just gonna repost this for the people who still don't get it that day in the lake, naya's blood alcohol concentration was 0.016. that's sobriety! that much alcohol has no effect on the brain whatsoever. your reaction time doesn't even begin to slow down until at least 0.04, and you don't start to get tipsy until 0.06 if your tolerance is low. if she wasn't 100% sober, she was 99%, and the pills were medical. heck, she was taking pills to relieve vertigo and alcohol withdrawal symptoms, making sure she and josey stayed safe in the water. it was an accident - she died a hero and her legacy should stay that way, don't let the media's portrayal of her change that

She was negative for drugs via the toxicology report. Her 5 yr old son revealed that she got him back onto the boat, then her arms flailed in the air as she yelled help.

It pisses me off how the news plays it off like she casually had "therapeutic" levels of amphetamine, and valium - therapeutic levels are high doses and the drugs she was on are for people who have serious anxiety issues and the adderall is prescribed for adhd. They say she has no medical issues yet she is taking prescription medications. They should highlight her conditions that she was taking the medication for, otherwise it seems they were taken recreationally which is extremely irresponsible. Therapeutic levels are high doses - I know this from experience. She also takes antihistamines for her vertigo which you shouldn't mix with diazepam. AND the combination is an upper and a downer, a knowledgeable Dr. would never allow her to take them at the same time because of potential heart and blood pressure complications. And she had beer on the boat? Even if they were barely drank you can't beat and drink and with her son on board, wow this girl is genius. I don't know what caused her to drown but either way her toxicology report showed how irresponsible she was that day.

I'm A Fucking Pretty Princess ! I don’t think they could even get access to her medical records to know what type of medical conditions she suffered from. What we know is sinus infection, vertigo, anxiety, possibly adhd? So she had medical reasons for the prescription drugs. And just because they were in her system did not mean she took all that that day. Drugs can stay in your system for weeks. They were not potent enough for the toxicology or autopsy to factor them into being possible causes for the drowning. She should not have had alcohol but it did not play a factor either. It was an unfortunate accident.

I am currently a pharmacy tech, so I know quite a bit about how medications interact and what Dr.s avoid prescribing together because of major interactions that can occur.

This story doesn't make any sense. It keeps changing. First they said that Josey said that he saw her jump from the boat and never came back up then they said that he said that she pushed him onto the boat then disappeared. I have three possible and sensible theories of her death based on all the reports.
Heartbreaking she yelled "Help!" to no avail. Perhaps they may consider walkie talkies moving forward if a party needs help. I have a medical condition that can cause vertigo and syncope with over exertion and so a life jacket realistically would be the only saving grace if one cant light a flare or call with a device. So sorry to hear these updates. I also think they need to have periodic checks with their company going out on and through the water. Maybe they do, but like every hour or 30 mins rounds, just like security does round around a building or perimeter to make sure all is well, whether there is activity or not. That is a large body of water and they have noted the area she was in was known for troubled waters. Someone should be surveilling the area then. I think a lot of things are preventable if extra steps for safety are taken in general. Even if someone has a vest on, you just never know what can happen.

I totally agree with you Missy, nobody go swimming fully clothed unless someone push them in. watching the video of her and her son getting out of the car she was carrying a bag which means the trip was planned and she must have some swimming costumes with her. In the earlier report they said Josie told them that his mother helped him to get onto the boat but when he turned around she disappeared so at what point did she yelled ‘help’? @@Megz1794 She was offered one for herself aswell as the one for her son by the boat renting company staff, she declined the one for herself but they put it in the boat anyway so she had one. According to the son they both jumped in the water after she counted down "3,2,1!", she probably got cramp or something, managed to push her son back on to the boat. She cried for help one time before she sank, the last thing the son saw of her was her arm disappear under the water, all according to the son.
If she would have worn a life vest as advised, she would have survived, instead she made her son motherless and left him scarred for life with that last image of her. Reckless is an understatement🙄

It was a horrible accident accept that fact and of course there was a lesson learned from this tragic accident but there’s no need to be so critical and harsh about it , it’s not necessary and loving .

People keep saying this is “fishy” because it’s new information but I don’t see how it is. It seems like a lot of what was discovered during the initial investigation was not reported to the public because it was an ongoing case, they had their suspicions of what happened but were waiting on the autopsy and toxicology report to make sure. Now that everything has come back and they concluded that it was an actual drowning and no foul play was involved, they released more information. Not everything needs to be some conspiracy theory. Celebrities aren’t immune to accidents and tragedies.

I always thought there is more to this unfortunate passing that we are not being told. The story never made any sense to begin with. She saved her son's life, despite the son saying he never saw her. If she lifted her son to the boat, that means she could have held on to the boat herself. Even so if she yelled for help and waved her arms that means someone saw her.

She drowned on my birthday last year, and it is still bothering me almost a year later. I also suffer from chronic vertigo and have been in pools when a dizzy episode takes over. It is terrifying. I cannot even imagine what she must have been thinking and feeling in those moments.
The autopsy report said that Naya suffered from Vertigo and that she had been treated for it in hospital and that the Vertigo would get worse when she was in water.

First of this is someone’s death. Just because it’s a celebrity’s doesn’t mean it’s okay to make it public. But if I’m being honest I think the people that give the boat to people should be held responsible for Naya’s death in some ways. Yelling for help doesn’t necessarily mean anyone will hear you. That lake is massive and it’s why a life jacket is recommended by the people who rent out the boats because there is no guarantee anyone will get to you in time even if a miracle occurs and someone does hear you. This is not the fault of the people renting out the boats. If you read an article on the new information reported on this case, it explains that the boy stated his mom was screaming for help. It says nothing about anyone else being able to hear or see her.

lake piru is a really large lake and i think that there were only a few other boats on the water when she was out with Josey. if there were only a couple boats at that time, it would’ve been really hard for anyone to hear her calls for help unless they were near the area of the lake her and Josey were in.

There's nothing out of the ordinary, except for the fact that a woman and a young child would be willing to swim in a lake alone where there wasn't anyone around to help. I don't understand why anyone would go swim in a secluded area when there are pools and other bodies of water everywhere that are much safer and under supervision for help. Some people have said that body of water has killed a few people over the years, but people still go there without taking precautions to stay safe. My sympathies to her and her child, but I wish she had made some other decision other than going to that lake.

that day in the lake, naya's blood alcohol concentration was 0.016. that's sobriety! that much alcohol has no effect on the brain whatsoever. your reaction time doesn't even begin to slow down until at least 0.04, and you don't start to get tipsy until 0.06 if your tolerance is low. if she wasn't 100% sober, she was 99%, and the pills were medical. heck, she was taking pills to relieve vertigo and alcohol withdrawal symptoms, making sure she and josey stayed safe in the water. it was an accident - she died a hero and her legacy should stay that way, don't let the media's portrayal of her change that

It pisses me off how the news plays it off like she casually had "therapeutic" levels of amphetamine, and valium - therapeutic levels are high doses and the drugs she was on are for people who have serious anxiety issues and the adderall is prescribed for adhd. They say she has no medical issues yet she is taking prescription medications. They should highlight her conditions that she was taking the medication for, otherwise it seems they were taken recreationally which is extremely irresponsible. Therapeutic levels are high doses - I know this from experience. She also takes antihistamines for her vertigo which you shouldn't mix with diazepam. AND the combination is an upper and a downer, a knowledgeable Dr. would never allow her to take them at the same time because of potential heart and blood pressure complications. And she had beer on the boat? Even if they were barely drank you can't beat and drink and with her son on board, wow this girl is genius. I don't know what caused her to drown but either way her toxicology report showed how irresponsible she was that day.

I'm A Fucking Pretty Princess ! I don’t think they could even get access to her medical records to know what type of medical conditions she suffered from. What we know is sinus infection, vertigo, anxiety, possibly adhd? So she had medical reasons for the prescription drugs. And just because they were in her system did not mean she took all that that day. Drugs can stay in your system for weeks. They were not potent enough for the toxicology or autopsy to factor them into being possible causes for the drowning. She should not have had alcohol but it did not play a factor either. It was an unfortunate accident.

@@teetee-7-4-8 ya she had a prescription for them but I have adhd and anxiety and psychiatrist do not prescribe stimulants and sedatives at the same time, they shouldn't be in her system together and for them to have shown up after she was in the water for that long means she obviously had enough to measure. Investigators have access to medical records. It is very unfortunate that she passed but I don't think it was an accident....

I am currently a pharmacy tech, so I know quite a bit about how medications interact and what Dr.s avoid prescribing together because of major interactions that can occur.

This story doesn't make any sense. It keeps changing. First they said that Josey said that he saw her jump from the boat and never came back up then they said that he said that she pushed him onto the boat then disappeared. I have three possible and sensible theories of her death based on all the reports.

Heartbreaking she yelled "Help!" to no avail. Perhaps they may consider walkie talkies moving forward if a party needs help. I have a medical condition that can cause vertigo and syncope with over exertion and so a life jacket realistically would be the only saving grace if one cant light a flare or call with a device. So sorry to hear these updates. I also think they need to have periodic checks with their company going out on and through the water. Maybe they do, but like every hour or 30 mins rounds, just like security does round around a building or perimeter to make sure all is well, whether there is activity or not. That is a large body of water and they have noted the area she was in was known for troubled waters. Someone should be surveilling the area then. I think a lot of things are preventable if extra steps for safety are taken in general. Even if someone has a vest on, you just never know what can happen.

I totally agree with you Missy, nobody go swimming fully clothed unless someone push them in. watching the video of her and her son getting out of the car she was carrying a bag which means the trip was planned and she must have some swimming costumes with her. In the earlier report they said Josie told them that his mother helped him to get onto the boat but when he turned around she disappeared so at what point did she yelled ‘help’? If she could help her son get to the boat, why did she not enter the boat with him? So many missing puzzles nothing is adding up. I believe she drowned but I don’t believe it was an accident.

The Autopsy revealed that Naya suffered from Vertigo which became worse when she was in water and she had been treated in the past for this condition in hospital.

Who knows why but maybe she was followed or harrassed where they were gonna have the bbq and she just wanted some privacy with Josey. Maybe thats why she looked in such a hurry getting to the boat hire.

As for the falling asleep thing. He could have been screaming his head off afterwards for hours and no one heard him till he tired himself out and fell asleep.
