In the 150th, My wife and I walked with Davis' Brigade. Each brigade had a plain flag with the brigade commanders name in print on the flag. Initially, we had planned to walk with one of Pickett's Brigade but after walking down from the seminary, we wanted to make sure we still had gas in the tank for the "charge" so we fell out and lined up with Davis' Brigade. Our guide was non other than Matt Atkinson. Quite serendipitous (or perhaps not, as I'm sure Matt lobbied to participate with his Mississippians)

They were still recruiting for u.s. regular units during the war. Also the Veteran Reserve Corps and US Colored Troops were considered US Regulars.

On my recent (and first) visit, my son and I just happened to be at the Gettysburg Address memorial when one of the LBG's showed up for the cemetery tour. It was a real privilege. But I feel bad now that I didn't give the guy a tip. I don't remember his name. All I remember is that he had a mustache and small beard and he was a retired Marine. Do you know his name?

That could be one of a few. LBGs regularly give free tours of the cemetery during the season.

In the west there were a few regiments with the numeric designation then “confederate” afterward. So “5th Confederate” Infantry.

1:14:54 Drones? 😂 Highly doubt they were using drones in 1993.

If you’re referring to the movie they were remote controlled helicopters with cameras mounted on them. Technically, according to this definition, “4.
a remote-controlled pilotless aircraft or small flying device.
‘pilots use remote controls to guide a stealth reconnaissance drone’”, they use drones. Otherwise, I don’t remember what we talked about so many episodes ago and at the moment can’t listen to the time stamped part of the episode.

Nothing more irritating than a damned fly
