I've been using Samsung for years now and was hesitant to get the pixel because I never really liked them to be honest. My brother talked me into getting the pro 7 instead of the S22 and I'm glad I did.. A VERY smooth experience and I love the UI and all the cool features. It felt like a new phone experience and it was very exciting to set it up. Since I have always used Google with everything I do, it just makes sense and feels like everything just came together in one device. I would definitely recommend it

'Scuse me, stop reading my diary 😂😂😂. Always had Samsung. Friends are telling me to get the 7 Pro instead of the S22. From all the reviews I reckon I'm gonna go for it.
I almost grabbed one but didn't just because I like all the features that Samsung has, and I don't like the "hollow" feel that Pixel and iPhone screens have. Still a great phone. I've used it in person and it's super smooth.
I've always struggled with how to describe the feel you're referring to - hollow is so accurate. Doesn't feel as structurally substantial as my s22u so I totally agree.
@@Reichsritter the display isn't glued to the midframe so had a big air gap under the screen making it feel hollow. Almost like a screen that isn't laminated
I have hesitated on getting another Pixel since the 3XL and now I finally think I'm ready to get back with Google. Treating myself to one for Christmas for sure. ALMOST got the 6 Pro last year but by the time I made my mind up I saw the 7 Pro announced and decided to wait. Glad I did!
Having something that's not Samsung or Apple was one of the reasons why I chose my Pixel 7. I was too cheap and couldn't justify the extra money for the Pro, but I love my Pixel 7!
I been using oneplus since the OnePlus 7pro. And was gonna get the 10 pro. And idk what cause me to look into pixel(maybe their commercial)but I'm so glad I did. I thought oxygen os was smooth and less bloaty. But this Pixel might be the best android phone I ever had. And though I haven't had this phone a month, I've put it through it's paces. It's so smooth, works flawlessly, and had everything in one package for a great price.

Had an S20 ultra for a few years, decided to give the iphone 13 pro a try, after a year I just traded it in for a pixel 7 pro a couple days ago. Absolutely loving the raw Android that Google provides for their pixels and the AI is outstanding
I just went from my Samsung S9+ to pixel 7 pro, what a huge gap. And it's amazing so far. To be honest I don't think the battery is that bad as others comment. Ps I read all the tips and learnt lots of cool and practical features.

This Pixel 7 Pro I have is the best phone I have ever owned hands down. Night and day DIFFERENT and BETTER than my pixel 6 pro. No bugs! Super Fast! Best camera 🤳 period!
Had the Nexus S, Nexus 4, Nexus 6P and Pixel 2XL. I was going to continue to daily my 2XL running custom roms, but I couldn't pass up the deal for Black Friday. Although I was running Android 12 with the Pixel Experience rom, the 7 Pro still blew my mind. It's faster (duh), smoother (duh), and the experience is overall way more refined. So glad I picked it up! In awe what 5 years can do to phones lol
I'm using my Pixel 6 to type this comment. The live translate feature, voice typing, screen calling and caller assistant are all brilliant as well. I rarely use the live translate but when I've needed it, it's been spot on. Voice typing is great for when I can't hold my phone to search for something or type out a response to a text. The screen calling and caller assist are my favorite feature on my Pixel 6. With screen calling I haven't had anyone call me about my car's extended warranty being expired. Caller assist is great because it shows you the expected wait time and the best times to call a business. It even displays the menu options as the answering machine gives you when you call a business. It even waits on the phone for you until an operator answers so you don't have to waste time sitting around for almost an hour to get through to a person. Overall, great phone and I'll wait for the Pixel 8 series to upgrade to see what other features that series will offer. I'm a first time Pixel customer, and I don't see myself leaving team Pixel for a long time.

Fantastic phone. I originally got the 7 back in November but really wanted the pro so decided to treat my mum and give her my pixel 7 (she had a cheap Samsung) and upgrade to the 7 pro and wow what an incredible phone i mean so was the base 7 pretty much the same phone all in all but it's just those extra hardware features that pulled me in. Was worried about getting a big phone but man is it nicer in my opinion.
I have had no issues with mine. Just got my new phone a couple days ago and it's outstanding. The camera is unreal. I have always gotten the regular phone and this time there was a deal on the pro. So I finally upgraded to a pro and I couldn't be happier. I don't think I can downsize to a regular pixel again lol
I have an iPhone 11 and it used to work well a couple years ago but when I cast to the TV it crashes a lot and there’s often lag. My gf just picked up the pixel 7 pro last night and I cast from it and it connected instantly, no lag and phenomenal image quality. It also automatically connected to every google speaker in the house and casts to them instantly too. I’m really blown away with everything about it and I’m definitely ditching iPhone soon.
Nick, while I think you do a GREAT job with the reviews (loyal subscriber here) I also think it might be interesting to compare the whole iOS vs. Android systems. I for one have used both of them and see positives in both, but I chose Apple for reasons other than the iPhone, tbh. Everyone goes back and forth comparing phone stats for this and that, when (at least imo) there’s so much more that needs to be considered. Just a thought.

I just got this phone and I love it. I was going to get the Samsung Galaxy S22, but they were out and the S23 was coming in 4 weeks, but I was curious about the Google Pixel. I have a Pixel 5 as my work phone and I really liked it, so when they said that the Samsung wasn't available, I went with this and I'm so happy I did.
My phone 📱 My first Pixel and got at launch. Initially bought the 14 Pro Max but within a week I realised it wasn’t really any different from my previous 13 Pro. Sold the iPhone and bought the 7 Pro. Love the Google experience and Very happy with my choice.
Currently have a 13 pro and am thinking of switching to the 7 pro. What are things that you like about the pixel that the iPhone doesn’t have. I’m really close to pulling the trigger

@@BILLEYY I am an iPhone user for the last decade or so. I want to try a new thing . My buddy at work who is very techy has the new 7 pixel and loves it always . Says Samsung is too bloated with unnecessary bugs, features etc which is true . That Google phone is so smooth . Reminds me of my iPhone but android style . And the camera is lit ! I may have to convert .
@@mr.international23 I have yet to see someone with it, the only thing that’ll really bother me is that everyone I talk to has iPhones and they all use iMessage, it’s one of the reasons I’m basically tied to this phone
Believe it or not Nick is actually pretty smart. He has the mental capabilities to cover real smart phones, not just those grandfather phones you're used to checking out. The grass greener on the other side.
'Smooth phone' now fits with every flagship in my opinion. my Galaxy S20 is still almost as fast as it was on the first day and 120 Hz displays have been around for a long time. for me, what makes the pixel special is that it has such smart functions. google seems to have understood that software differences are now important. at the hardware level, you can no longer particularly emphasize.
I understand why a lot of people like iPhones, I personally will never get one because I'm a nerd and I understand software and hardware. But this pixel 7 pro was a must for me with that new tensor 2 chip and everything. Best android experience ever. Best phone hands down
I would love the Pixel, but it's really off putting to me that Android makers themselves only provide 3 years of OS updates. I'm currently on Android and thinking of the 13 Pro Max. Sick of changing phone every 2 years just because of lack of updates.
Really excited to get my hands on a pixel. Probably going to stick with my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 a little while longer than upgrade once the Pixel 8 series hits the market later this year.

Great video Nick!! I been long term user of the GP7P since November and really enjoy it. I only wish the front facing camera was a bit better with it's focusing and sharpening. The selfies are kinda meh. Any suggestions or is it just what it is? Thanks.

i got my pixel 7 oct 23 ..295.00 refund for my s10e ..only deal to get money back on a 2019 phone..its faster than me and am still learning how to use it..waiting on my features updates today..my november patch came after 2pm on the first monday..average joe ..really happy with the pixel 7...great video..nick
Bought one last week. And it's awesome. I would highly recommend this phone and that's coming from a iPhone 13 pro! Believe me it's been well worth the wait!
Warning! Do not buy this phone. You will be sorely disappointed. I purchased my first one four months ago from the Google store. They have replaced it, and the second one is no better, maybe even worse. This is my fourth pixel phone, I'm done with them. I'll be switching to iPhone after all these years. Google did this to themselves. They are going to lose serious market share
Had the s22 ultra. Also had the pixel 6 pro. I kept changing sim cards to the pixel 6 pro because of how smoother it felt. Traded in the s22 ultra for the pixel. Will never get a Samsung ever again
I ended up trading in my Pixel 6 for the Pixel 7. I just didn't have enough money to do the seven pro but I wish I would have. Last year I got the six pro when it first came out and ended up sending it back the first week because it was basically unusable because of all of the issues it had but I did go back and buy a Pixel 6 from someone and it was great. I love the pixel 7 but I really wish I had that nicer screen and camera setup. I love pixel phones. I've had them since the Pixel 2 and I used to have a Nexus. I just love the vanilla Android experience and you cannot beat using the dictation feature. It is my favorite thing about the Google phones. The assistant is light years ahead of apples
I think I'm one of the few who really like the curved screen, that being said, I think the pixel line still needs more hardware refinement. Might pick up the 7a in the summer or wait and see how the 8 series turns out.
At first I thought I wasn't going to like the curved display but got it anyway and the curve is really growing on me. It's enough to make it feel more "luxury" but not so much that it's annoying
@@lilmario0 it doesn't at all. I've just read reviews where people don't like curved screens as they fear accidental touches but there's no problem with that on the 7 pro at all.
@@jevonsims900 Nothing saturates the market like iphones, so that's the quantity. Apple's "pro max" lineup is the only quality phones they sell (not everyone buys that lineup for obvious reasons). And on top of that, everyone buys iphone to use Google apps 🙄.
I'm still rocking the pixel 6 pro that's still a wonderful phone as well works great and I never had a problem with the pixel 6 pro the pixel 7 is absolutely incredible as well 😊
I recently got my pixel 7 pro, after initial hiccups (like device get heated while initial settings) it is a very smooth sailing. Except I still uncomfortable with the text getting written on my phone screen whenever I make a call. For me it is very annoying. I don't know how to dismiss that feature.

Mine has been nothing but a buggy mess. Freezes every single day, during every day use, multiple times a day. No point in it being smooth (iPhone has never been smooth), when it keeps freezing. It's not isolated either. Lots and lots of people are having these problems. The smoothest phone is every flagship with 120 FPS. The Pixel lags in certain apps too, it doesn't give butter smooth scrolling in apps like a S22. Reviewers should take responsibility for money people waste buying these phones ! Some of the claims in this video and many others are just plain lies. I'm sorry but they are.

Mine comes in tomorrow. I've been an LG V series guy for a while but my V60 charging port gave out and I obviously can't go LG again and couldn't justify paying the price for a Samsung. This seems like the best bang for the buck
I was buying it for the camera but I think it is under exposing the pictures. Pictures are darker than I want but I'm keeping it for the display and the look and feel of it. The screen is not flat and is not curved and the phone is not tall and is not short. In terms of reading text I can see clearly and read longer on the pixel than other phones. I don't understand why you UA-camrs think Samsung has the best display, it doesn't.
I have had both iPhones and pixels of the past.. and I can attest to how smooth the pixel 7pro is! One can argue it's more smoother than the iPhone 14pro
My pixel 7 pro is only five months old and about a month ago it stopped allowing me to share small video clips. When you have a short video and want to share it in a text you click "share", then you click the text bubble, then you have three options, actual size, create link and share album. I would always select "create link", but for the last month I've been getting a message that says "Can't share, Try again in a few minutes". Well, it's been a month. I went back to T mobile and they couldn't fix it, I've gone to the Geek Squad at Best Buy and they couldn't figure it out either. I was given the option to replace the phone but I don't want a refurbished phone when I feel like mine is still very new and it's just this one glitch.
Funny, nobody talks about the bugs in the software. Like crashing camera app, etc. You need to reboot everytime it crashes and sometimes multiple reboots untill it the app works again.
I got the Google pixel 6A recently got it for free and it's amazing. I'm sticking to Google pixel. Wish I got the 7 pro free but I will upgrade to the next one for sure.

@@mr.international23 I had the s22 ultra for a month last year and didn’t really like it, it was a bit buggy and after seeing a lot of videos about the 7 pro it seems like it’s the smoothest android on the market
@@BILLEYY I am an iPhone user for the last decade or so. I want to try a new thing . My buddy at work who is very techy has the new 7 pixel and loves it always . Says Samsung is too bloated with unnecessary bugs, features etc which is true . That Google phone is so smooth . Reminds me of my iPhone but android style . And the camera is lit ! I may have to convert .
@@mr.international23 I have yet to see someone with it, the only thing that’ll really bother me is that everyone I talk to has iPhones and they all use iMessage, it’s one of the reasons I’m basically tied to this phone

Believe it or not Nick is actually pretty smart. He has the mental capabilities to cover real smart phones, not just those grandfather phones you're used to checking out. The grass greener on the other side.
'Smooth phone' now fits with every flagship in my opinion. my Galaxy S20 is still almost as fast as it was on the first day and 120 Hz displays have been around for a long time. for me, what makes the pixel special is that it has such smart functions. google seems to have understood that software differences are now important. at the hardware level, you can no longer particularly emphasize.
S20 has auto focus camera issues, hate this model. I got S20 5g ultra and it's the worst phone I have ever bought

I understand why a lot of people like iPhones, I personally will never get one because I'm a nerd and I understand software and hardware. But this pixel 7 pro was a must for me with that new tensor 2 chip and everything. Best android experience ever. Best phone hands down

I would love the Pixel, but it's really off putting to me that Android makers themselves only provide 3 years of OS updates. I'm currently on Android and thinking of the 13 Pro Max. Sick of changing phone every 2 years just because of lack of updates.
I mean they could give 5yrs software & security updates and maybe increase the price by $100 or $150.
I don't like the updates. As time goes on they are more optimised for newer chipsets and can cause issues with older phones anyway.
How can you say you're tired of changing phones every 2 years AND it's off-putting that Android "only" provides 3 years of updates? 3 > 2 my man
People keep phones for 2-3 years max. I don’t know why people want 5 years of updates when they keep their phones for 2 years.

Really excited to get my hands on a pixel. Probably going to stick with my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 a little while longer than upgrade once the Pixel 8 series hits the market later this year.
I've always been a little hesitant with the pixel. I have a s20 plus and I was thinking about upgrading to the s23 plus or Pixel 7 pro. I'm going to wait until the Pixel 8 pro and s24 plus come out to see if it's worth upgrading to the Pixel 7pro or s23 plus

Great video Nick!! I been long term user of the GP7P since November and really enjoy it. I only wish the front facing camera was a bit better with it's focusing and sharpening. The selfies are kinda meh. Any suggestions or is it just what it is?

Had the s22 ultra. Also had the pixel 6 pro. I kept changing sim cards to the pixel 6 pro because of how smoother it felt. Traded in the s22 ultra for the pixel. Will never get a Samsung ever again

I ended up trading in my Pixel 6 for the Pixel 7. I just didn't have enough money to do the seven pro but I wish I would have. Last year I got the six pro when it first came out and ended up sending it back the first week because it was basically unusable because of all of the issues it had but I did go back and buy a Pixel 6 from someone and it was great. I love the pixel 7 but I really wish I had that nicer screen and camera setup. I love pixel phones. I've had them since the Pixel 2 and I used to have a Nexus. I just love the vanilla Android experience and you cannot beat using the dictation feature. It is my favorite thing about the Google phones. The assistant is light years ahead of apples
and iPhone battery life is light years ahead of Pixels

I think I'm one of the few who really like the curved screen, that being said, I think the pixel line still needs more hardware refinement. Might pick up the 7a in the summer or wait and see how the 8 series turns out.
Pixel plays a software game in the smartphone market. Giving high end specs does not improved the end user experience

At first I thought I wasn't going to like the curved display but got it anyway and the curve is really growing on me. It's enough to make it feel more "luxury" but not so much that it's annoying

When the price of two items are the same people will always go with quality over quantity.
Even at the current price point I'd go with the 14 pro. Pixel seems just too basic.
@@jevonsims900 Nothing saturates the market like iphones, so that's the quantity. Apple's "pro max" lineup is the only quality phones they sell (not everyone buys that lineup for obvious reasons). And on top of that, everyone buys iphone to use Google apps 🙄.

Don't be! I've fell in love with mine. No heating no issues with it.
I recently got my pixel 7 pro, after initial hiccups (like device get heated while initial settings) it is a very smooth sailing. Except I still uncomfortable with the text getting written on my phone screen whenever I make a call. For me it is very annoying. I don't know how to dismiss that feature.

Mine has been nothing but a buggy mess. Freezes every single day, during every day use, multiple times a day.
No point in it being smooth (iPhone has never been smooth), when it keeps freezing. It's not isolated either. Lots and lots of people are having these problems.
The smoothest phone is every flagship with 120 FPS.
The Pixel lags in certain apps too, it doesn't give butter smooth scrolling in apps like a S22.
Reviewers should take responsibility for money people waste buying these phones !

Mine comes in tomorrow. I've been an LG V series guy for a while but my V60 charging port gave out and I obviously can't go LG again and couldn't justify paying the price for a Samsung. This seems like the best bang for the buck

I was buying it for the camera but I think it is under exposing the pictures. Pictures are darker than I want but I'm keeping it for the display and the look and feel of it. The screen is not flat and is not curved and the phone is not tall and is not short. In terms of reading text I can see clearly and read longer on the pixel than other phones. I don't understand why you UA-camrs think Samsung has the best display, it doesn't.

My pixel 7 pro is only five months old and about a month ago it stopped allowing me to share small video clips. When you have a short video and want to share it in a text you click "share", then you click the text bubble, then you have three options, actual size, create link and share album. I would always select "create link", but for the last month I've been getting a message that says "Can't share, Try again in a few minutes". Well, it's been a month. I went back to T mobile and they couldn't fix it, I've gone to the Geek Squad at Best Buy and they couldn't figure it out either. I was given the option to replace the phone but I don't want a refurbished phone when I feel like mine is still very new and it's just this one glitch.
Funny, nobody talks about the bugs in the software. Like crashing camera app, etc. You need to reboot everytime it crashes and sometimes multiple reboots untill it the app works again.

I got the Google pixel 6A recently got it for free and it's amazing. I'm sticking to Google pixel. Wish I got the 7 pro free but I will upgrade to the next one for sure.
