Introducing the CAOS method: Concept, Audience, Offer, Sales. These are the four key areas you need to focus on to get your business off the ground.
Good news - you don’t need a lot of money to get started. The most important part is making good decisions at each step.
First, nail your concept. Find an idea that fits you perfectly and aligns with your passion and experience.
Next, build an audience before you even have a product. Engage people with your ideas and see who shows interest.
Then, create an offer that solves your audience’s problems and fits their budget. Experiment with different options to see what resonates.
Finally, focus on sales. Embrace your inner salesperson and track your numbers to understand your sales process.
By mastering these four steps, you’ll be well on your way to building a successful business.

It’s “Audience first” for me. In the past I’ve developed services that I thought were sure winners but the audience wasn’t willing to pay, or wanted to pay way less than I knew the service was worth.

What hooked me up with watching this video in the first place was that I wanted to believe that you can start a business with no start-up money. I was in a live chat with Noah Kagan last Friday and I asked him this and he responded by saying that you don't need any start-up money for a business and that his $300M AppSumo business only started with 50 bucks (that being a cheap web developer to build his app) and even then Noah said that 50 bucks was too much to start a business. I was still toying with this idea in mind, and so I'm glad you released this video Dan to also confirm that this is possible...perfect timing! Cheers, Dan! Love from England xx

What stood out to me most is the sheer common sense and cohesion of the process you've outlined. Im also identifying the functions ill enjoy and the ones i may need to farm out. Thank you, ill be back to this video to take notes for sure.

Audience First is such a simple yet brilliant concept. And with so many social media platforms to choose from, creating an audience is actually fun.

I’ve seen you talk about this many times but this was a great way you delivered it awesome!

  • @stephenmcclelland9854

Excellent narrative in Aud First. Your use of the word frustration is much better narrative description than pain point or problem, too! Thank you.

  • @iantompkinscoaching

Daniel, this was great. The audience first is powerfully. I’ve seen you speak about CAOS on multiple occasions and the way you presented it in this video is so clear. Love it!!❤❤

Thanks Daniel this was great. What stood out to me most is the Audience First approach to building the biz. I feel this is a very clever and community-driven approach to building a biz, it feels as though the participants who've engaged at that stage will feel included as a part of the process and development, as opposed to just being pitched to later on.

❤ Excellent video ... key takeaway for me is that the audience I am passionate about and want to provide a service to are not high net group, that's why I want to do my bit and spread knowledge and experience.

  • @SteveMatthews-zy1bk

Great advice - especially in the Offer section. I feel like we've done a good job in defining our Concept and Audience, and now we have our eye on Sales. The Offer step includes so many useful ideas that will help us prepare to more effectively go to market and start selling. Thanks!

  • @laurarobinson5996

How do you get companies to input into the initial research process?

  • @umutwoodworking8983

Thank you for the amazing information Daniel. How should I prepare the offer if I want to create a physical product? Do I need to make a prototype to show in the offer? thanks alot

  • @sebastianss

    Thank you 😊

  • @TomeyTran

Daniel, please do a video for graduate students, should they go start a business or find a good founder to work with (and How to find them?)

  • @catalinsusu7451

Am o mare intrebare!!!!!!! Cum obtin banii pentru a crea viitorul produs😩????? Excelenta prezentare . Iti multumesc mult.

  • @leilasafari1917

Audience first is a good idea, but what if you immigrated to a country with only a few connections in English, how could you create a WhatsApp group or zoom event for people who barely know you?
