The cheese is unbelievable. The exact same Brie I would buy at Acme is about $8 cheaper at Aldi. $8!!! 🙌🏻. And the frozen tater tots and French fries are usually under $2 a bag. They are often $5 at Acme. Aldi is amazing.

I buy the organic pasta sauce for $1.99. The regular sauce comes in a plastic jar. For a few more cents I get organic and save the glass Mason jar to reuse.

@@storytalk7 Me too! I put leftover soup in them, use them to store dry rice & beans & I put homemade bone broth in them. Goodwill wants $1.99 for an empty mason jar these days. At Aldi you get the jar and the sauce for the same price.

I have also been very careful about buying sauce in Mason jars. The cost of the jars themselves can range anywhere from $15.00 - $24.00 for quarts. So, I think it is a much better deal to get the sauce/Mason jar food.

I try to only eat organic due to stomach issues. They have great prices on organic foods but you still need to read the labels, Canola Oil is dangerous for your gut and heart. Also if allergic to soy you must read labels. Be sure to be your own health advocate!!!!

Hi Jennifer, This is my first time seeing your video. I have subscribed now. I shop at Aldi for everything from vegs. to cat. I showed the cat food to a vet friend of mine and he said it was a good product to feed the cats. (2) The canned and the dry type, as well as treats. I have purchased many items from the (Aisle of Shame) as it is nicknamed. From leggings, rugs, candles for gifts, and many other items. If there is ever a problem with anything the return is so easy and can be done at the register. You can get the $ back or have it deducted from your order. It's always good to keep your receipt as with any store. I bought a rug at 1 store, but it was on sale $3 less at the store I was returning it to. I was given the amount I paid by having the receipt. Returns are never a problem there. I am a vegetarian & I appreciate the quality & prices at Aldi. As with any store quality is something the consumer has to check because of shipping, & weather conditions going on where the items are grown. Lettuce hearts are bad everywhere at this time. Aldi still has the best. I use all the dairy items mentioned in this video. I use 1/2 & 1/2 fat free & reg always consistant. Butter, cheeses, guac. hummas etc. I have used Hellmans mayo all my life (70+) and I now use Aldi's Burman Mayo. Hellmans must bottle it for them & use Burman's label. What a money saver. Also salad dressings, mustard, peanut btr, vinegar. I wil aways be an Aldi shopper. I enjoy the clean, organized stores. Also the folks that work there are always friendly & don't mind helping shoppers. Including helping bag groc for elderly & injured people. Also walk them out iif help is needed there. I don't see that at other grocery stores these days. Have a good weekend.

I've been shopping at Aldi since the early 80's. How far it has come!! Just a couple of disagreements: The Simply Nature Marinara Sauce is INFINITELY better, organic and non-gmo, and only costs about .60 a jar more. I don't buy the cheap eggs - only pasture-raised, and Aldi has a fantastic price on them. I don't buy their garlic - mostly from China.
Thanks for sharing. Sure does prove there are some true bargains to be had - but also really good quality items at lesser cost as well. Definitely a part of my regular rotation.

When our Aldi first opened here and it was definitely after 2003, most their produce was sourced through local farms and in my personal opinion it was much better!! Totally agree about pasture raised eggs, it's the only kind I ever eat now! 😋 I have some more items to add to the Aldis good and healthy items but I need to find my list buried somewhere on my desk.... 😉

I love Aldi and there are three different stores around our area making it easy for me to combine errands. They have fantastic produce, I am a huge fan of their dairy and breads as well as their frozen foods. The frozen foods they always have, and the limited time special buys they get in. I truly find that they have better prices than most of the larger grocery stores and I don't have to walk 5 miles around a store to get my shopping done. In and out, easy peasy!

What a great video! I love Aldi's Boulder Dinner Napkins. Once I stumbled upon bath towel sets (2 large towels, 2 hand towels, 2 washcloths) at Aldi's for $17.00! It's been quite some time ago, and they're still in great shape...soft, fluffy, absorbent. If I had known what good quality they are, I would have definitely bought more. Have a fun, happy week!

My favorite product at Aldi is the chocolate/peanut butter cups. Their chocolate is of exceptional quality and highly addictive. Shockingly, they are also sold out from time to time which tells me they are highly popular. I have other favorite items too but, with Aldi, if you see something that you like a lot, they often have limited availability for a limited time so I tend to throw as many of those in my cart as I can knowing I may never see them again.

Bunches of 💐 flowers (Aldi in Australia) In my car I carry a small pair of secateurs & newspaper (to work on & wrap off-cuts), as well as nice jar (I like the Nescafe coffee jars for vases). This allows me to take flowers to someone, nicely arranged & not needing to find something to put them in. If I leave home intending to do this, then I try & find extra greenery to take with me, as this sets the flowers off & you get a larger amount to work with. Great for hospital visits. Just remember to put another jar in your car for next time.

I shop at Aldi’s a lot. Mostly for eggs, bread, cheese, prunes, hot dogs 99 cents and baloney $1.49. Occasionally I splurge on the German brands of soups and other specialty items. Since into carb cycling and trying to avoid sugar as much I avoid snacks as a rule. I do like the pretzel sticks but not too often.
My rule at Aldi’s is if you see something that looks like a good buy get one and try it. If you love it buy more. This way you find more favorites.
I spend only about a $100 to $150 a month on food so I have to be very careful with my money.

My last Aldi purchases on 2/9
All org:3 lbs apples 4.49, romaine hearts 3.69, celery 2.79, mini cucs2.79, mixed greens 2.89, arugula spinach mix 2.89, 16 oz grass fed ground beef 85/15 5.19,
Not organic: 3lbs sweet potatoes 2.59, cara oranges 3 lbs 3.49, mandarins 3lb 3.59, radishes 1.69, 3 lg multi color peppers 2.69, Irish butter 3.09, imported cheeses 3.99, fresh mozzarella ball 3.35, mascarpone 3.75, simply Nature antioxidant power 100% juice ( not from concentrate) 33 oz 3.79 is seasonal item. I also buy other items on other trips, prosciutto, salami, various Kerry gold or Swiss cheeses, around holidays rack of lamb is a good price, so are frozen German made decadent deserts. Also keep on hand for convenience their 90 second microwave 7 grain pouches, for those days there just is no time to prepare similar item from scratch. When their frozen mixed berries 48 oz bags are on sale, I buy and make, preserve, compote and or jams, even made wine😊. Some items are good price and quality consistently, but some like fruit and produce not consistent in quality- freshness, but neither are in other stores. When Aldi has sale on items I use regularly, I stock up . Aldi’s jams have fruit, sugar and pectin, no corn syrup like other store famous brand names, and are better price. I always look for clean, simple ingredients in what I buy and consume. I am sure I have bought many other items from Aldi, some I repurchased and some were not to my taste. I am not a fan of their breads. I know people tell me they love it. I tried, and consumed some, repurchased as well, but not true fan. Sourdough is clean, no junk in it, I just don’t care for the consistency. Too dense? Not sure how else to describe it😊. Wish they would bring back the organic herbal tea that had blueberry in the name.

We’ve had an Aldi forever, but I did not start shopping there until I stopped working several years ago. I pick up the brand flakes and a separate tub of raisins to make our own Raisin Bran. I also get tubs of oatmeal. I grind it in our coffee grinder (never used for coffee), add in spices and use it for bread crumbs. I love the autumn crisp grapes. The one thing they do not have is Fage Greek yogurt. My partner will not eat the Aldi’s option. They do have Helva Good French Onion dip. Still, buying the majority of out groceries at Aldi’s allows us to splurge a bit on a couple of items at a pricier store.

Love Aldi and do most of my grocery shopping there. I have one other store worth checking out for deals if they are in your area. Publix. The BOGO are all I shop when I go there and you do not need to buy two to get most deals unless they say so in the fine print. I've recently purchased: Pam spray, organic greek plain yogurt, Keifer, chicken breast, bacon, strawberries, etc that were all BOGO and less expensive than Aldi store brand items. So if you are looking for some frugal ways to stock up on basics from time to time and have a Publix near by consider adding them to your list of stores to check out. My favorite find was Barilla pasta last week. .98 per box final cost. I got some for my home and some for the local food pantry.

Great video! I agree with just about everything you said. If your Aldi carries El Milagro stone ground tortilla chips, give those a try. We didn't care for the regular tortilla chips they carry, but the El Milagros are delicious! Also try the Northern Catch solid white albacore tuna in water. It costs $1.55 per can by us, but it's SO much better tasting and more solid than the brand name flaked (mushy) tuna, which I just won't buy anymore. We also love the whole milk plain Greek yogurt. And we do like the store brand "cheerios" and "chex" cereals and the store brand honey roasted peanuts. I would say we get about 75% of our canned goods, dairy, and produce (and the boneless, skinless chicken breasts) from Aldi, and the rest of our groceries come from Walmart. We get our beef cuts and ground beef from our local IGA, because they seems to have the best tasting meat in our area for a good price.

Huge bag of organic kale under $3, fire roasted diced tomatoes( just discovered how tasty) almond milk, like you said canned beans, pasta, bagged small avocados, baby carrots. So grateful we have an ALDIs less than a mile away! Been shopping at ALDIs since they opened one near where my mom lived. Probably twenty five years ago. Would bring home cases of canned veggies. Oh, I forgot their wine. Not very discerning palate I admit but we don’t mind.

Aldi is a learning curve to figure out the standard products and the limited edition products. We’re a celiac household and their gluten free line is awesome. I get all my snacks, pasta, and gf baking mixes from Aldi. The gluten free take and bake pizza is so good. It is close to the same price as gluten free frozen pizza, but significantly higher quality. Some stuff, like the chips, do taste different, but I don’t mind. I’ve gotten used to it. The only thing that I will not buy at Aldi is the frozen hash brown patties. They’re not that much better on the price and the taste… nope.

I do a smaller Aldi shop every couple of weeks since along with pantry staples I buy produce (lettuce, tomatoes, avocados, brussel sprouts, spinach, slaw mix). Dairy (I love their blue cheese crumbles as well as other cheeses, milk, eggs). Breads (along with bread I _do_ buy their plain bagels and English muffins, then I prep and freeze them already cut through. They toast up as fresh and are perfectly delicious). I buy various wraps there and freeze them to use as needed. I buy their various wild caught fish filets as well as their mussels. I buy nuts there too at great comparative savings. I could go on, but there’s a broad outline.. I do buy spices and beans too, and some meats. On another day I might head to a different local market depending on what I’m looking for. We have several Asian markets and general markets for shopping branded stuff. I buy spring water in those as Aldi only carries purified water which isn’t the same. Btw, I also buy Aldi tortilla chips - usually their restaurant style.

Here is a frugal tip to use stale bread. Make ham and cheese sandwich casserole. Recipe: Stale/ dry bread approximate 1/4 of.a loaf cube the bread. Custard: 3 eggs, 2 cups milk, 2 squirts prepared mustard (any style). leftover ham cubed up (approximately 1 cup), shredded cheese approximate 3/4 cup. Optional: roasted red pepper 1/2 jar or 1 small jar of pimento. Bake 350 for 35-40 minutes.

I have discovered Aldi's and finally tried them last year...now I too have several staples I get there, that I can't even find in my regular groceries. There's a store one town over for me, so not a far drive. They have many organics my regular groceries don't carry, such as organic cheeses, hummus, chicken sausage and other things. I have also gotten that salsa you mentioned ~ very good. I do wonder what state you are in, because my pricing is higher on some of these things you mention, such as the chocolate, and the salsa, but still much better than regular stores near me. My favorites from aldi are similar to what you said…bread, butter, chocolate, baking goods, mini muffins, fruit punch drink mixes, pasta, and seasonings. We do not like the chips, cheese crackers, marinara sauce, apple juice or milk. We are big milk drinkers and their milk is always doing some weird separation thing. Overall, it has okay tasting convenience foods, but I rather spend a few more dollars for my favorite convenience foods at a more expensive grocery store. Like the chicken salad at Publix is way better in my opinion. If my kids are with me, we end up buying a seasonal cereal or treat that cost about the same or more at Aldi than anywhere else.

Just recently went to our Aldi and noticed a significant price increase on most of the products, to the point that if I shop sales and use the digital coupons at our local regular grocery store + Costco, I will spend less money than I would at Aldi. I noticed this on dairy, crackers, protein/granola bars, produce, and frozen foods. I don’t ever buy meat at Aldi. I’m not sure if our area is different from others, but since I have the ability to stock up when there are sales and have the storage for it, using our regular store sales/coupons and Costco is saving me a lot more money. I used to love Aldi, but not if the prices are going to be even higher than what I can pay elsewhere.
